American football superstar, Gerard "The Big Tiger" Tigro, landed in Japan. The 33-year old midfielder signed to Vissel Kobe for 5 years and many speculated that this is might really be the end of the Barca Legends' career. Due to declining age and injuries, his performance last season was underwhelming for La Liga, many taught that he will retire. It's logical if you think about it, he and Barcelona won many awards together and there is nothing else to set sight for, but he shocked the media and football world by going to Japan.

When asked in an interview why he decided to continue his career in Japan not back at his home, America, he said "Well football is the rave in Japan there, I still want the attention and respect that many fans there can give me, if I will go back home, I'll just be an entertainment icon there not a footballer and I will try to inspire kids and teach them if possible like my mentor Cruyff did for me so Japan, be ready, Big Tiger is coming"

2 years later, Tigro is still shining on the field but now as a defensive midfielder, his speed and body are not up to par but his technique, vision, intelligence, and presence evolved and he became the MVP of the league just in his second year but that's not why he is back in the news again. Tigro and Shaina Akaya, Ace of Japan's Volleyball National Team, announced their marriage which brought confusion in Japan. When did they even start seeing each other?

"Well I thought football was the rave here, little did I know it was volleyball instead, I always saw some volleyball ads everywhere when I just got here. Now look, Japan now is bringing results and many kids are being attracted now to play, it proves that their effort is making an impact in the sports scene here in Japan so who am I to not be attracted right? HAHAHAHA I got my prey now and it will soon be a done deal" said Tigro, who was annoyingly cheeky in that interview.

It caused a bit of commotion because it was also stated that Akaya is 3 months pregnant and some experts said that this might hinder her progress as a 29-year old spiker who is still in her prime.

6 months later, on February 19, 2015, Akaya gave birth to his baby boy. And that day marked where Shai Tigro's legend started.
