power levels

Mortal realm:

It's when an arcane heart carrying individual hasn't met any divine energy yet.

Aspiring priest realm:

In this realm, the practitioner chooses the god they want to worship during their meditations.

Priest realm:

One in ten aspiring priests get to become priests due to their lifespans running out. A priest, unlike an aspiring priest, varies in power. They are people who succeeded to form a weak connection to their gods. In exchange, these gods grant them power. Their energy expenditure is substantially higher due to this trade.

High-priest realm.

The connection with the contracted god thickens. This realm is far more powerful than the normal priest realm. Unless the practitioner finds a catalysis material, they are stuck in this realm forever. 

The catalysis material decides the path the priest takes.

If the catalysis material is the ascension herb, the practitioner takes the heavenly path.

If the catalysis material is a monster core, one takes the monster path.

If materal is 10000 soul beads from desert wraiths, the practitioner would take the underworld path.

An exception is made when an apostle of a god inerferes. The apostles could help people ascend through subordination.

Arch priest:

In this realm, the practitioner replaces their body with pure energy if its the heavenly path that has been chosen.

If its he monster path, the practitioner's body becomes more powerful over time.

If it's the underworld path, soul and body simultaneously exist in both the mundane world and the underworld. The part that remains in the mundane world is a corpse that is being puppeteered from the underworld. These practitioners look like corpses. 

The underworld path is seen as a last resort.

tier4 to tier1 demigods:

After connecting with people through ritual, worship starts to take center stage for the practitioner. Demigods seek adventure to create legends. Strength of the legend decides the power of the worship, which in turn, decides the power of the demigod.

Each tier is a level of their own. A tier four demigod is absolutely no match for a tier three demigod.

Godhood:

The attainment of unquestionable divinity. The practitioner is eternal as long as the people don't go extinct.

They cut pieces of planets and seed the universe with life and civilization by teleporting pieces at random.

Eldritch god.

A god that acquired a fundamental force of the universe as a focal point for their eternity.

Apep is the eldritch god of entropy. It loves life and evolution because those things fasten the dissipation of energy. It also loves "hate" because it recognizes hate for what it is. Hate is the desire to compete, driving force of evolution for the cognitive animals.

A worshipper, a conduit and an apostle.

These are three stages that signifies the relation between the mortal and the god.

A worshipper one sidedly worships god and has to send energy to receive power.

A conduit is a receptacle. A god might decide to send energy to this individual and this individual could channel it.

An apostle is a person a god has put a small copy of their soul into.
