Friend or Foe?

I firmly hold my gun and try to calm my nerves. I needed it to rethink things carefully. "I see. That's a tempting offer. But you see, I never succumb to a wolf's lie."

"Fine by me. Whether you believe me or not is up to you." Xavier shrugged his shoulders. "And a wolf, that might be a perfect nickname for me."

"Tell me, what's in the injection?" Instead of her answering, it was Xavier that answered my question.

"It's just a simple, sleeping drug."

I turned back to Dr. William.  "Why do you need me to be put to sleep? I thought it was just a welcome prank."

"You really got her eyes," Xavier replied to me with some strange words instead of answering.

Dr. William gulped multiple times before her gaze was replaced with determination as stared back at me.

"We wanted to test you out with something." Dr. Wiliam said.
