Chapter 11: Rescuing

The sky had darkened which indicated its night time. Above the bustling city is Ray and his weapon souls on top of a skyscraper engaging talk with each other while Kurumi on the sideline simply observes.

"I knew it! Artemis' instincts are correct, the master did get another girl."

Artemis was faking an anger to hide her sulking face like a bonafide Tsundere while Ikaros didn't even care about it and stood beside Ray who was holding Tsukuyomi on his lap.

"When are we going to attack the island?"

"Tonight when the security laxed a bit for easier infiltration."

Ray will use dimension shift to enter the island undetected since teleportation will leave a lot of mana residue unlike dimension shift that is basically folding space and making a door to his destination.

He took out the Robe of Obfuscation and unequipped the Ring of Shadow before giving it to Kurumi.

"... A ring? My, did you become bold and propose to me?"

"This is driving me crazy… No, those will increase your stealthiness and perfect to avoid detection when paired with your clone ability."

Ray is irritated by her teasing while she smirks victoriously as she secures a revenge for the previous surprise by Tsukuyomi.

"Wear them, I will send you first. You hide first while I cause disturbance to attract all the wizards before you enter the facility."

Kurumi nodded before wearing the robe and ring while Ray used the spell to start the dimension shift.

Ray first casts an invisibility spell for Kurumi to enter the lab silently since the Dimension Shift is created above the island and She will immediately detect since she the item only reduce and hide the presence, not totally remove them like the spell he cast.

A dark swirling oval shaped portal appears before both of them enter it. Ray's weapon souls are unsummoned but he is holding 1H form Artemis.

When he exited the portal, he looked at the Island which is quite small. Around 5 km if he count from one end to another end of the beach.

However the facility under the sea is way bigger than the island above. Ray spread his haki to sense the facility below while he put an illusion to cover up the devastation he was about to do and a barrier to isolate the island.

[Widen Magic, Prototype Magic: Blockade]

The magic spell he casted is a micro version of Planetary Blockade and a mist that uses stellar power to obscure every perception toward this area.

Then the moonlight becomes brighter as a projection of the moon appears above the island, causing the waves to become violent and irrational as the wizards guarding the entrance are surprised by the scene.

What he saw can pass as an apocalypse as the moon becomes bigger like it is about to crash to the ground while waves become higher and violent that the pier and the vessels get wrecked hard and damage it.

"Quick! Notify the facility about the abnormal weather."

"Yes, ma'am!"

One of the wizards departed leaving three other wizards guarding the entrance.

"Look above us, is that a spirit?"

"Oi oi, I know it's no wonder they pay so high for an easy job like this. I'm not paid enough for this!"

Another one of the wizards quickly runs since they have no chance against a spirit. But before he could take off, the leader of the squad of four wizards stabbed her energy sword into his head.

"This is why I hate working with hired mercenaries, they have no sense of loyalty."

The leader said before she looked at the last one who was shaking in fear as she stared at his eyes. The wizard is terrified when his friend is killed without hesitation at all and has to obey the leader and find a way to escape undetected.

"..." The captain then shifts her sight to his relief but he suddenly feels a sharp pain piercing his heart.

He looks down and sees his heart being stabbed by her. He wanted to retaliate but the captain pressed a button on the sword that caused a localized energy blast that tore apart his body.

"Want to run? As if I let you, I would rather kill you myself."

When she was done, the rest of the wizards arrived, leaving two to guard the facility just in case something slipped.

They swiftly arrange into groups and take off to engage the spirit in aerial combat. This isn't the first time the facility was attacked but definitely the first time a spirit did it.

The DEM wizards quickly engage with their advanced laser cannon which is way superior that that of AST which still uses physical bullets. However this is their downfall as Ray uses kinesis to simply alter the trajectory slightly and every shot missed.

The lasers curved as if hitting an invisible shield. They quickly swap their tactic when it isn't working.

Ray was looking at the DEM wizards and remained unmoved as the moonlight buffed him and Artemis. He concentrated his willpower and used it to activate Haki to coat his right hand partially and fully coat Artemis.

His other minds are working hard to comprehend the skill and now is the time to see the fruit of his labors.

The effect of the Haki is a dark purplish black layer on his arm and the sword.

When the layers are coating Artemis, she is experiencing an overwhelming euphoria as Ray's willpower flooded her soul and coated her like his embrace, smothering her mind with addictive pleasure that reduced her speech to moan and gasp.

Ray however blocked the thought transmission while he was testing his limit by continuing to pour more willpower and mix of mana, causing the layer to have visual effects similar to fire. The dark purplish black fire looks very ominous as if the soul will be burned away by it.

The DEM wizards however are unaffected by the visual intimidation created by the Haki and continue their attack.

One female wizard flies closer to engage with her energy sword since none of the shots will hit him. Ray raises Artemis to block the slash but other wizards also dive in to stab him with an energy sword.

"What! The energy sword cannot penetrate his body." The wizard that managed to slip a backstab was shocked when his attack could not cut through his skin. He quickly flies back and regroups with others.

Ray was lucky that [Prototype Aegis 3] protected his body from the backstab that managed to slip past his defence. He uses Kinesis to stop the energy sword just a few inches from his body. However one of them manage to slash his elbow.

Tsukuyomi pleaded to Ray to let him help defend but Ray wanted to test himself against the enemies to gauge his current strength.

He then accelerates toward the leader of the wizards who wear a CR suit better than her peers. Ray then slash Artemis against her but she defends with the laser cannon on her left arm.

The slash blocked by the cannon which caused the leader to sigh in relief, however the real attack is the brimming energy in the sword that exploded out just a second after the slash was blocked.

The sudden explosion by the energy release blasted the leader to the sea surface as she skidded across the water as her CR suit was totally wrecked by the blast.

She definitely died in the blast. The attack was supposed to be Internal Destruction but the energy went berserk half way and exploded just on the sword's surface. The blast although failed to trigger properly, it definitely ruptured all her organs.

She finally stopped skidding as she hit the barrier that Ray made before the attack that encased the whole island in a 10 km radius sphere.

The DEM wizards look at their strongest wizard in this island taken down with a single strike, shattering their morale as the remaining sub-leaders try to stop them from panicking.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Ray uses spatial manipulation to do multiple instantaneous short range teleportation to kill off the fleeing wizards that number to 19, leaving only 7 wizards that didn't try to flee just now.

"Fight to our last breath!"

"For Lord Isaac"

Ray discovered their origins through use of Clairvoyance to dig into their past. They are orphans or victims of Isaac that he brainwashed then undergo a body modification for better combat ability than normal wizards. They later train to become Isaac pawn by none other than Ellen Mira Mathers who are currently the strongest wizard under Isaac's leadership.

Strangely, all of them are female. An army of female wizards that worship Isaac like a god. Ray feels envious of Isaac for having beautiful girls under his thumb.

The remaining female wizards fiercely attack Ray while totally ignoring their defenses to score a hit on him. Like magnets attracted to each other, they keep clashing in the air at the speed where everything only can be seen as a blur of rapid movement.

While defending himself, Ray didn't strike them at all as he kept evading or parrying the attacks.

'Tsukuyomi restrains them quickly!'

After finally receiving his request to help, Tsukuyomi gladly sends out his defensive plates to warp the wizards into a ball before levitating them near Ray. The trapped wizards keep resisting and trying to break free but ultimately fail to budge the plates surrounding them.

'Heh, if he can have one, why couldn't I do the same right?' Ray thought before calling upon his willpower and activated Psyker ability [Dominate] to enthrall them and replace their worship of Isaac to him with mind control using his psychic ability.

Ray then feels the similar sensation he feels when using Spiritual Domination but more violent as it mangle their will if he isn't being careful to control the ability. Their combined will resistance is significantly weaker than Kurumi's.

He easily dominates the 7 wizards. Their trashing and twisting soon stopped as they felt something enter their mind as their loyalty and worship to Isaac got ripped apart like being feasted on by a starved beast. Each and every shred of emotion they feel for Isaac are ripped from their heart and mind while their will to fight slowly is deprived from them.

They feel as if they fell into the depths of the abyss like the sea. Helpless trying to swim up only to be pushed down by an invisible force and released again when they stop resisting. As if they are a toy being played for the amusement of their torturer.

When they feel despaired, they pray to god for help and help they get. Like a glimmer of light from the depths of their sea of consciousness, they unhesitatingly accept then greeted with the face of their savior. The only thing left in their mind is their savior, their mind clinging on him desperately like their only light in the abyss.

Ray was surprised and terrified by the effect of [Dominate]. It first shatters their will to plunge the victim into despair then brand the ability user as the savior that saved them. They basically turn into a fanatic that will do whatever the person wants without batting an eye even if the order is to exterminate their whole family or a city. Only way to stop it is to kill the enthralled person.

Ray was surprised with the sudden explanation by the system. They require no slot to summon which is great and it also means he can have an unlimited amount of them serving under him. However, he does notice that they are still human and request sustenance unlike Scáthach who physically don't require sustenance. This means logistics.

He does possess Hunter's Dream that is connected to the city of Yharnam. The city can provide him with a stable supply of food if he does have mouths to feed.

After finishing thinking, he looks at the Island while waiting for Kurumi to exit since his part is already done for now. The next part is to blow apart the facility and run away with Kurumi and Nia.

When he is bored of waiting, Ray spreads his senses using Haki to know what is happening down there.

His sense spread below the island and surely, everything revealed to him. He saw multiple groups of clones madly killing everything they found in the facility.

He also found out the reason for Kurumi's anger.

From what he gathered using sensing Haki, there is inhuman experimentation that turns humans into something not human at all.

One of the examples is the children with bloated heads that reminded him of patients of the astral clocktower. They are results of experimentation to create minds that incorporate AI with human brain to use it in higher capacity than humans to potentially control a swarm of Bandersnatch units using highly adaptive and evolving hive mind.

There are plenty others which Ray even doubts can be called as human or even alive anymore. Kurumi probably gives them a faster release as there is no chance to save them anymore as they are impossible to reintegrate into society.

"You guys stay here and wait for my return. Kill any DEM scientist or wizard that escapes."

"Yes master!" They shout in unison before Ray uses Dimension Shift to appear next to a shocked Kurumi. His sudden arrival and appearance made Kurumi stare at him like she had something to say but she didn't.

They continue moving deeper into the facility that is unaware of their arrival, they trust their wizard's bodyguard to deal with whatever threat that appears.

As they move deeper, the room turns into a long hallway that directs them into a vault door encased in weird material that suppressed Ray power slightly. Kurumi is also affected more severely than Ray by the fact that she is visibly weakened.

"This is a special device made by DEM that can weaken a spirit. Perhaps this is where they hold the spirit."

Ray nodded then slash at the vault door that exploded into pieces from inside with the successful use of Internal Destruction.

Kurumi looks at Ray with her jaw dropped. His attack just now looked like he smashed the half a meter thick vault door open.

Alarm immediately sounded to warn about the vault being breached. The remaining scientists in the vault stopped their work to check the terminal to contact the wizards.

Ray and Kurumi stormed the vault and killed every scientist leaving only one to answer their questions.

"You're left."

Kurumi suddenly said, which puzzled Ray until he looked in the direction that looked like a spectating window for the surgical room. The room is dark with little light emitted from the devices in the room.

Ray didn't need to see as his sensory Haki already scanned through the room, giving him a clear image of everything he focused on.

In the room is the spirit strapped to life support devices and her body is full of wounds or scars which is different compared to Nia he is seen in anime.

[Domination]

Ray uses the ability on the scientist that he spares for interrogation. He waited for a bit for the ability to take effect before asking the scientist to reveal what happened to Nia.

"Under the order of Isaac, we are told to experiment on the spirit. We usually use her to test our invention to see its effectiveness against spirit."

"We also given order to torture her. We made surgery on her while she was awake to understand the effect of our recently created chemical weapon by monitoring changes on her organs. The procedures are recorded and given to Isaac on a daily basis."

Ray was speechless, he knew that Nia is being tortured which cause her to turn inverse when Isaac release the memory block. But this is too much.

Ray cut open the room before he looked at Nia's face that looked like it was in pain. He pulled out the needle that fed her body with sleeping drugs and everything else before telling Tsukuyomi to carry her using defensive plates.

"Let's go Kurumi, I'm going to blast away this hellhole."

Kurumi nodded, then killed the scientist with her pistol before Ray used Dimension Shift to take them above the island where the enthralled wizards were waiting for Ray.

Kurumi was about to shoot at them but Ray stopped her. Then she noticed that the wizards were also not attacking them. Instead, they were looking at Ray like a well trained dog waiting for order.

"Later we talk, it's time to blast this place." Ray noticed that Kurumi had something to ask him.

Ray then disabled the Haki on his arm and Artemis. He opens the connection to Artemis but she keeps calling his name while moaning like crazy and causes him to shut the connection again before casting the spell on his own since Artemis couldn't help this time.

He uses the sword as his focus before he starts chanting. The air around him quickly condensed with mana for the spell.

[Maximize Magic: Dimension Collapse]

Like a death verdict by the god, the time stopped for a second before a black orb appeared in the facility and devoured absolutely everything.

The blackhole instantly eats the whole facility and is now hungrily devouring the water and the land before Ray prematurely detonates the blackhole. The blackhole then compressed the mass it absorbed into a super dense sphere before it exploded and caused the barrier Ray made to shatter.

The shockwave of the explosion created a massive wave that formed a tsunami.

Luckily, everyone had been shifted by Ray the moment he detonated the blackhole. The explosions were so destructive that the underground part where the barrier didn't cover was destroyed and created a second Mariana Trench.

The incident was reported all over the world just an hour after the explosion. Isaac was surprised that someone managed to find and destroy his secret facility undetected.

2 hours later, Ray and Kurumi were inside the Hunter's Dream. Ray uses his house to let Nia rest and possibly heal her.

Ray summoned Ikaros to use her summoning card to get advance healing equipment from Synapse but she told him that the card is useless because they are out of range.

Seeing that none of the group was able to heal Nia, he had to try a new spell that he hasn't trained yet. His mistake is to focus only on offensive spells and ignore the support spell like healing.

"Where is this?" Kurumi asked.

"A subspace that I own."

"Subspace… Is it similar to the pocket dimension I have?"

"Nope, subspace is more stable and similar to the real world but incomplete and tiny." Ray explained.

His Hunter's Dream is indeed an incomplete world but it is attached to Yharnam which is located on earth. However the world outside is somehow empty, the people of Yharnam are the sole humanity there.

"Regardless, what next? We destroyed the DEM private island and saved the spirit."

"Not sure but our ultimate goal is to kill Isaac and destroy DEM since that company has plenty of loyal dogs of Isaac's." He said after thinking about it.

DEM definitely have those loyal to Isaac or those with the same mind as Isaac. If he lets them live, they will bring more trouble to spirits in the future after he leaves this world.

His body suddenly froze which caused Kurumi to look at him weirdly, he forgot that Scáthach can heal Nia with her Primordial Rune.

He took off the glove and threw it into his inventory since his left hand already has a different glove, it would look unsymmetrical.

He saw that the previously used command seal had been restored and thinks that his command seal is similar to the Chaldea command seal that can restore one each day.

"With the power of the command seals, I order you Scáthach to come to my side."

Instantly Scáthach appears with a spear ready to attack only to see no enemies and they are at the house.

"Why do you summon me master?" She said with a slightly angry tone.

She huffed and reluctantly agreed. She dismissed the crimson spear and started drawing runes while Kurumi looked at him with the wtf face.

Ray shrugs his elbow and does cut throat motion before pointing at Scáthach. It means that he tried to avoid being killed by an angry Scáthach.

After several minutes.

"She should be okay after a good sleep. She is all healed and only exhausted right now."

Tsukuyomi can only whimper and submissively lick Ray' shoulder as if trying to convey his own position as the inferior one.

They take more than 15 minutes this time before Ray finally grunted which indicates he is blowing his second load into Tsukuyomi's ass that is milking his dick with the constricting motion it is doing.

Ray then pulled out his dick and waved it to Tsukuyomi who obediently licked and sucked it clean while Ray played with his ears to relax himself.

Next morning, Kurumi was sitting in the living room while looking at the second spirit while being bored with nothing to do. It is still 3 am in the morning and Ray is nowhere to be seen.

Kurumi assumes they are having 'fun' which is true. Then suddenly a tall woman carrying a monster like being entered the house causing her to take out her pistol and musket ready to fight.

"Greeting visitors, no need to be alarmed. I am Maria, the caretaker's assistant." Maria gives a slight bow and lifts one side of her dress to greet Kurumi.

"Caretaker's assistant… Who is that?" Kurumi asked while still holding on to her firearms, wary of the creature on Maria's arm. She can feel the weird feeling invading her mind although not malicious or intentionally.

"Oh, yes I forgot that title only known to us. The caretaker is the former title for the appointed overseer of this space but now it's fully owned by Ray Elliot." Maria explained while the creature nodded in agreement.

"Oh it's Ray."

"Yes, he killed the great one who once owned this space and seized control of this space."

"Great one? Some sort of god?" Kurumi became more curious about Ray's background as she asked.

"Yes and no, the Great One is a race of beings that have long transcended their former body and become strong beings worshiped as gods by the people. The unenlightened one calls them gods while the enlightened one calls them godlike."

The soul split in Ray's true body nodded excitedly as his wing like protrusion now became a wing, flapping as if indicating his excitement.

"For example, this is a Great One although still an infant." Maria uses both hands to carry the excited Great One closer to Kurumi.

Kurumi feels the weird sensation intensified and the being in front of her becomes more clearer as she can differentiate the body parts.

She didn't accept to hold the Great One to Maria's disappointment, Ray's true body became dejected and looked toward Maria with a sad 'expression'.

"Perhaps she is uncomfortable holding you. Don't worry it's not your fault." Maria coaxes him while tapping his back lightly.

Kurumi feels bad for what she just did and feels regretful but her sense of danger causes her to be wary.

"I'm sorry to make it sad but the weird sensation from it makes me wary…" Kurumi tried to explain her hesitation.

"Oh! That is a blessing, to think that the Great One would give you his first ever blessing." Maria exclaimed while looking at Kurumi.

"Blessing?"

"Ah, what did you feel when you got the weird sensation?"

"Hmn… I feel like my vision changes when looking at him."

"Then you are granted the vision to see the truth. Many would die for it, especially the scholars!"

"Hold my hands."

Maria then opens both her palm to Kurumi while the true body is floating. Kurumi then held it and felt something unusual but didn't know what it was as she was told to close her eyes.

"Hm… as I thought, you had gained insights. A lot of it too." Maria exclaimed in surprise, causing Kurumi to instantly open her eyes.

"What does insight do?"

"Insight is the inhuman knowledge granted by the Great One to see the truth of your surroundings, to see the truth lies beyond the veil of illusion."

"For now perhaps you cannot see his true form other than blur and unrecognizable shape but with enough insight, you will be able to see his true form."

Suddenly a crash sound from Ray's room could be heard and gained a disbelieving look from all three of them. Kurumi guesses they are making out but Maria and the true body can see beyond the wall and saw that Artemis did too hard that she broke the floor and Ray's pelvic bone… literally.

"Anyway, let's change our venue for now. Ah and just the right time, Laurence called for us. We can show our guests the city of Yharnam."

Then all three decided to excuse himself and went to Yharnam until morning come to give Ray some space and privacy.

Around 7 am in the morning, everyone gathered in the living room including Maria and Ray's true body. Even Nia had woken up from her sleep around 5 am and was terrified as the first thing that she saw was messengers crawling on her to transfer her to Maria and Kurumi who was at the bar until morning came.

While Kurumi is touring Yharnam while tagging along with Maria, she discovers that the true body is Ray's body but controlled by his split soul.

She was absolutely shocked when she discovered that Ray is actually a god and worshiped by a whole city that uses his blood on almost everything.

The most impressive one she sees is when they visit Healing Church to meet Laurence who had business with Ray's true body.

She saw first hand, a hunter that definitely one foot in the grave instantly healed with a simple injection of red liquid that contains the true body blood and few other ingredients.

Then Laurence who overjoyed to lead the mini tour around the Healing Church for their god's guest.

Kurumi was introduced to the reformed Choir and Executioner which is now their church's main fighting force. Also a new branch called the Blood Priest/Priestess that consists of Yharnam people that wanted to join the Healing Church for whatever reason.

Blood Priest/Priestess excel in healing arts or magics that they recently have after magic was introduced to Laurence by the true body. They are mostly incapable of combat as they are basically healers but few of them are hunters that switch profession to Blood Priest.

With the rapid expansion of the city, more hunters are dispatched to create frontier villages and outposts on various important locations for resources or fertile land.

The first hunters that venture out to expand the land discover no sign of civilization outside of Yharnam no matter how far they go. However they discovered other races like goblins, kobolds and recently demihumans.

Definitely not due to their god adding additional races, they now have to fight the hostile one like goblins and kobolds. The hostile races usually will attack their outpost and villages which drive the creation of Blood Priest and Priestess. Their ability to use healing arts and magics are important for the survivability of the outpost and villages.

The encounter with the beastman however is a bit hotblooded due to the plague in Yharnam. The first expedition that discovered beastman settlement was led by Gehrmen.

Gehrmen was shocked and thought they found plague afflicted people but the beastman showed signs of intelligence when they encountered them.

Totally not due to their god bias, the beastman they encounter are fox, wolf and rabbit tribe. Okay hold up, rabbit and wolf tribe? Won't the wolf kill the rabbit? Well you gotta ask the god that made this in the first place, not the author.

So, they formed a partnership between the tribes, the wolf tribe is the hunter and guard for the settlement while the rabbit tribe handles crops and the fox tribes forage the forest while also helping with crops sometimes. They distribute tasks based on their racial abilities and gifts.

Due to this Gehrmen didn't attack the beastmen tribes, instead he met up with them and established a relationship between the tribes and the city.

They returned a few weeks later with Laurence and groups of scholars to investigate these new races. Soon, a partnership was born and a beastman was introduced to Yharnam through the frontier village.

The reception was bad at first but after Laurence informs them that these beastman are the creation of their god. Everyone drops their prejudice and accepts the beastman. Those who resist will either be silenced and 're-educated' under the order of Laurence.

Maria led Kurumi to a new area outside of Yharnam city which is land that surrounds the new and old Yharnam City in a C-shape area. The new area is planned to be used as housing for new citizens and a new industrial area for small scale manufacturing factories to accommodate the growing needs of the city.

When the tour finished, Kurumi returned to Ray's house in Hunter's Dream.

"...*yawn* good morning." Ray finally escaped his bedroom and saw absolutely no one in the room but didn't panic since he guessed everyone went to Yharnam.

A cup of iced black coffee magically appeared in his hand as he sat in the living room. He looks at the time which is around 6 am in the morning.

Tsukuyomi also exited the bedroom and walked toward Ray. He stopped a few meters before dropping on all four to stretch his body like a real fox would.

Crawling on Ray's lap, Tsukuyomi rubs his head against Ray before sniffing something.

"No! Bad fox! bad fox!, Artemis already broke my pelvic bone and you still wanna have a go on me…"

'Seriously, give me a break. I just fixed my broken bone.' Ray talks in his mind with his eyes closed while his finger rubbing his forehead.

When he opened his eye, he saw Tsukuyomi resting his head on Ray's lap while licking the left hand exposed palm before using that palm to groom his hairs and furs.(Ears and Tail)

Everything was calm until the firna… Artemis exits the room, looking around like a predator searching for prey before her eye locks on Ray who is resting in the living room.

"W.. wait! Let me rest…" Ray quickly tried to dissuade Artemis.

"What are you talking about, master? Isn't it the master that turns Artemis into a naughty girl." The honey sweet and seductive voice from Artemis mouth made even Ray shivered on his spine.

"Master have to take responsibility for master own action."

Contrary to Ray's expectation, Artemis didn't proceed to rekt his recently healed bones but simply latched on his right arm while smiling and chuckling. Then he notices that his left palm becomes wetter when he sees Tsukuyomi grooming his tail using the saliva coated palm.

After today, both of his weapon souls undergo changes which he can summarize as Artemis becomes more seductive and expressive of her desire which is the direct opposite of the owner of her appearance, a literal goddess of chastity.

For Tsukuyomi, he acts more… wild in behavior and appearance. Usually he is calm and collected while rarely initiating any skin ship but now he is using Ray's hand to groom himself while not so secretly putting bite marks on Ray using his new canine teeth. His eyes also occasionally turn into slits like cat eyes.

Fast forward an hour later, everyone arrived at Ray's house at 7. He greeted Maria when he saw her enter the living room along with Kurumi, Nia and Laurence.

Laurence immediately came forward and bowed to Ray.

"Greetings Lord Ray, I actually have urgent news to deliver. The Vileblood Queen proposed to build a castle for you, however your other half said to not build one."

"I need to ask for your choice too."

Ray looked at the still bowed Laurence and his true body who simply shrugged his head and sent him a telepathy link to share his thoughts.

The true body thinks that building a new castle is quite wasteful for now since Ray won't even be staying there anyway. Ray indeed agrees and rather that the manpower and effort are used to strengthen his people.

Problem is Laurence definitely will not take 'no' as an answer. He would secretly 'allocate' the church funds into building a castle or two then said he forgot that Ray didn't want to build them.

Ray thinks for a bit before he suddenly gets an idea.

"Instead of a castle, how about a mansion instead? I prefer a mansion more than a castle… you know err… the Cainhurst Castle isn't exactly a pleasant experience. That's why I prefer a mansion. Yes! That's the reason"

"I see… excuse me Lord Ray, I will definitely build you a magnificent mansion." Laurence then excuses himself and quickly returns to Yharnam.

Ray then sends his thoughts to his true body to try his best to stop Laurence from doing excessively. Then Maria and his true body left to chase after Laurence.

Sigh, It's hard to manage fanatic worshippers… is this what it feels to have Ainz syndrome.

With the unrelated people gone, Ray now looks at Kurumi and Nia who are also looking at him but the latter one was wary of him.

"Ne.. Ray, did you… did it with them last night?" Kurumi asked while pointing at Tsukuyomi who is still grooming himself while Artemis is hugging his right hand with closed eyes while occasionally mumbling something about Ray corrupting her.

"Yeah, sorry for ditching you last night and leaving Nia sleeping in the living room."

Ray scratched the back of his head but Kurumi didn't care about what he just said, instead she was interested in Tsukuyomi.

"So you did him too?"

"Wait! Him? But.. but" Nia became confused since Kurumi did tell what Ray was doing the whole night but didn't expect Tsukuyomi to be a male.

"But what? He loved me and I love him. That's all that matters, right Tsukuyomi?" Ray stated before using his left hand to lift Tsukuyomi's head to lock eyes with each other.

He can see that his pupils become slitted and his canine teeth become more apparent as he nibbles Ray's thumb while purring. The tail also wagged left and right very rapidly.

"Tsuku love master very much. Master is Tsuku's everything." Tsukuyomi said before Rubbing his head against Ray's left hand.

" Ara, looking at such strong love made me feel jealous of you. Would you accept me as one of your harem too?" Kurumi teased Ray.

"Quit joking, I told you before. I see you as my mother." Ray conveniently uses his fake background as an excuse.

"Mother?" Nia is confused.

"Oh right, she still didn't know about your origin."

Kurumi and Ray then spend some time explaining to Nia about Ray's origin.

"Wouldn't that make me your mother too? Also what is your proof of having power similar to me?" Are half convinced since she has yet to see any proof.

"Yours will be slightly difficult since the ability enables me to find any information I want if I can pay the price of receiving them. Too much information can overload my brain."

What Ray tried to say is he cannot show physical proof to Nia other than showing her the ability of Cosmic Guidance and hope she would believe it.

Kurumi nodded since she already felt the ability's effect. It feels like one is floating in the cosmos while a streak of light enters her brain to provide information.

"Oh yeah, you can try to find information about me using Rasiel." Ray suggested.

Nia agrees before summoning Rasiel, the angel in the shape of a book that enables her to obtain information about anything that has ever happened in the world, no matter where and when. She can also alter the future to a limited extent using Rasiel.

"How? Rasiel cannot show anything at all…" Nia is shocked before both Kurumi and her look at Ray's smug face.

"Heh, mine is superior to yours. Of course you can't find anything. Unlike Rasiel, I have an anti divination ability to hide myself from divination users like you."

The anti divination ability Ray said is his Unchained Fate innate ability but the ungodly luck from Cosmic Sicon can also 'accidentally' interrupt the divination or make it false.

"Superior? How come you can have a better version of Rasiel than me?"

"I never said it's Rasiel, I just have a better version of ability like Rasiel." Ray quickly corrected her false assumption.

"I inherited spirits' abilities, not their angels. Due to circumstances, my divination ability had improved leaps and bounds during my travels before arriving here."

Both spirits are surprised, Kurumi knew that Ray can manipulate time but didn't know that he can improve the ability better than its original.

"Enough of that topic, thinking about it makes my head spin." Nia said while clutching her head with her right hand.

"Anyway, why did you save me from the DEM facility? You have an even better version of Rasiel." Nia changed the topic.

Tsukuyomi and Artemis also listen attentively to the discussion since they feel like their master is about to say something worrying.

"To simply put it, I saved you because I liked you." Ray said without any change of expression. As if he was just talking about what to eat for lunch.

"Huh" x4

Everyone was surprised, especially Nia herself who was shocked even more by the statement.

"This.. but you said that we are like mother and son. Doesn't that make it incest."

"Even better." Ray said without hesitation causing Nia become flustered as she staggered backward before ending up on the wall.

Ray was having his fun teasing her although what he said is the truth of what he thinks.

"First is a trap, now you are targeting spirits. Should I be worried about this?" Kurumi jokingly added but…

"No need to worry Kurumi, I have no actual intention to pursue you at all. I leave you to my father Shido." Ray said respectfully before bowing past 90 degrees and hitting the floor.

"Am I really that bad that you dislike me that much?" Kurumi honestly asked Ray since he kept stopping her advance although she was only joking.

"Not really but your teasing and unpredictable personality is a big no no for me unlike Nia."

"Speaking of this, do you still have your old memories?" Ray asked Nia to simply reply with a nod.

"I remember slightly about my past before becoming a spirit, the rest I forgot but I also remember a few years before I was abducted by DEM and put into the facility for whatever reason." Nia grumbled since she remembered that her fan was waiting for her since her abduction.

"About that, It's better for you to find out yourself using Rasiel of what happened after your abduction by DEM." Ray added before looking at Kurumi.

"I hope it didn't happen like you last time." Ray told Kurumi as he looked at Nia using Rasiel to get a recap of her 5 years of captivity in DEM private island.

After a while, Nia finally closed Rasiel and unsummon it.

"Is everything told by Rasiel real…" Nia asked with a pale face as blood drained from her face from learning about her torture by the scientists in the facility.

"Yes, and you are a ticking time bomb right now since Isaac are holding the switch to your memory blocker that upon release will turn you inverse." Ray grimly explains to Nia.

"What Ray said is real, if a spirit experiences extreme negative emotions, they will turn into an inverse spirit that will cause untold amounts of destruction."

"I almost turned into one recently. Thankfully Ray was able to stop the process and saved me from becoming inverse."

Nia is afraid when she learned that she is a ticking time bomb. She rather kills herself than letting her inverse form to wreck destruction on the people.

However she was surprised and glad that she didn't need to kill herself since Ray can undo the process and prevent her from dying.

"I'm glad, really glad that you can stop the inversion." Nia sighed in relief.

"Actually, I have other methods to deal with it rather than waiting for you to reverse."

"I can simply erase the memory of your torture or letting you stay here since the realizer cannot receive signal from Isaac to remove the memory block."

"Then remove the memory from my head then. I wanted to return to earth, I still have unfinished business to deal with." Nia quickly holds Ray's hand with both her hands.

"Sure."

[Silent Magic: Control Amnesia]

Ray then subconsciously order the spell to remove the memory of the torture she received. The spell then proceeds to remove the memories that Ray wanted. The process lasted less than a minute before it ended.

Since Ray used Silent Magic, the chant only occurs in his mind and the brief magic circle appears to indicate the magic was casted.

"There, everything is done. I even removed the realizer from your head." Ray then pat Nia ash gray hair that is exposed since her astral dress has a nun headpiece.

She quickly stood properly before clearing her throat with several coughs.

"Thank you." Nia expresses her gratitude while trying to control her blush from deepening her face.

"Now we've resolved every problem, let's return to earth. I promise Kotori to return on the second day."

Ray gave both Artemis and Tsukuyomi a kiss before unsummon them. Artemis purposely kisses Ray deeply and intimately before glared at Nia, trying to send her a signal before disappearing.

When everyone is ready to leave, Ray creates a messenger lamp near Kotori before teleporting out along with the spirits.
