Magic

[Wanda's perspective]

"Mom!" called my children.

"Here!" I replied from the kitchen.

"Chocolate!" asked Tommy.

"Hey! what did I say? Wash your hand first," I said, smiling. "The boys taunted me by dipping their hands in the chocolate and licking them. "Oh, you are in big trouble," I said, then tickled them both.

"I see you're punishing them," said Vision, walking from the living room to the kitchen.

"Daddy help us!" said Billy and Tommy while laughing their teeth out.

"Alright, here I come!" He ran in to tickle me and saved the boys.

I was laughing so hard, I lost my balance. Vision and the boys caught me and we laughed even harder. Laughs became echoes, I slowly opened my eyes and tears ran down my cheeks. My family, the laughs, and the joy were just a dream. I looked around, then tried to sit up, but my body felt like falling apart. I recognized that I was lying on the couch in Strange's basement.

"Wanda, you're awake," said Doctor Strange, walking down the stairs. "You shouldn't sit up, you have three broken ribs," he said while helping me to lie back down.

"How long have I been out?" I asked Strange.

"Two days..." he replied.

"Two days!?" I jumped but instantly regretted it from the pain.

"Easy- easy, Wanda."

"Oh my, you're awake!" said Agatha from the stair. "How are you feeling?"

"Painful," I replied. "Wait, if I have been out for two days. Why hasn't she found me yet?"

"She?" Agatha asked. "The Summoner sent her monsters to find you for the past two days, but we took care of them."

"I also put a spell on this place. The Summoner can't find you here," Strange said.

"Who is she?" Agatha asked

"She claimed herself as Morgan Le Fay."

"Morgan?!" Agatha surprised. "She's back?"

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"She's the author of The Darkhold. I learned that she was one of the most powerful Sorceresses back in the Middle Age, in the 6th Century, I think," Agatha said, sitting down on the chair in the corner of the room.

"I also learned from Wong that she attacked the Sanctum in London back then and stole the Book Of Cagliostro. I thought he was joking," said Doctor Strange.

"Yes, Morgan somehow disappeared one day without any trace," said Agatha. "She wants your power?" she asked me.

"No, the opposite. Morgan wants to kill me because of it. It seems like the Scarlet Witch before has done something to her," I told them.

"So you mean the last Scarlet Witch centuries ago is responsible for the absence," Agatha responded.

"I guess. I need to find Morgan," I said while trying to stand up.

"No, Wanda, we will take care of her. You need to rest," Strange said while holding me down.

"No, Strange, this is about me. I'm the person she wants to kill, so I will handle this."

"You need to heal."

"I can still fight."

"Wanda, he's right. You need to heal," said Agatha.

"Okay, but I don't know, how long can I hide from her."

"I will get you ready," said Strange. "I will teach you a couple of Mystic Arts to balance your power."

"You are really thinking about teaching The Scarlet Witch Mystic Arts," said Agatha.

"It's fine. I will. Thank you- Stephen," I said.

"Don't mention it," he gave me a smile. "You have a week to prepare."

"That will be enough," I replied and gave a smile.

It has been almost a week since then. Agatha gave me some of her herbs, so I could heal faster. For these past few days, Agatha taught me how to control the Chaos Magic as a witch who used the Darkhold before. I told her not to teach me dark magic since that was the reason I gave up the Book of the Dammed. She taught me the way to focus my mind on the Chaos Magic and be creative with reality wrapping. While Agatha taught me the offense, Stephen taught me the defense. I learned a thing or two about Eldritch Magic and Mirror Dimension Magic since we need to practice in that Dimension anyway. He said I was a quick learner and I was glad about that.

Three days left, Stephen said that he would show me something. A new type of magic was what I was thinking. That day he told me to come down to the basement, so I did. He was holding a book, then turned around to face me.

"Ah, Wanda. I have something to show you," Stephen said. "The Book of Cagliostro that contains the Dark Dimension Magic."

"Isn't that also dark magic?" I asked him.

"It won't corrupt you."

"Isn't it breaking the rule?"

"Wanda, you will be facing the master of Mystic Arts."

"I'm not breaking any rule again. I'm not you, Stephen. You break the rule, you become a hero. I do it and became the enemy."

"Not this time, Wanda. There's a crazy witch out there who is planning to rip the whole world apart with monsters just to find you. Agatha and Vision are finding her hiding spot. To stop her, you will need all the help you can get."

So I agreed to learn. The magic helped me to get tougher, and fold matter outside the Mirror Dimension, but he told me not to take advantage of it.

One day left, it was in the morning, and Agatha rushed into my room.

"Wanda! she called you out," Agatha said, then showed me the broadcast.

"Wanda, you are hiding very good, I give you that," said Morgan from the broadcast. "Remember who this is?" she showed me a woman lying on the ground while getting restrained and unconscious.

"Molly?" I surprised.

"You know her?" Agatha asked.

"You have been hiding for a week since the last time I met you. Well, you can hide for one more week, month, or year, but little Molly here can't wait that long," Morgan said, then pulled Molly's hair, lifting her head off the ground, showing the tape on her mouth. "Meet at Wundergore Mountain, on the throne of the Scarlet Witch," then the broadcast went offline.

"She will pay," I said calmly.

"Who is Molly?" Agatha asked.

"Morgan-" Doctor Strange came into the room and interrupted me.

"I assume...that you watched the broadcast..." Stephen said slowly.

"Ye- yes," I said. "Molly is my fan. Morgan forced her to give me a tour of the Avengers museum before I die."

"Well, that was nice of her," Agatha said.

"So, they are at Wundergore Mountain," said Stephen.

"Where she transcripted The Darkhold," said Agatha.

"That's right," said Doctor.

"I live nearby..." I said quietly.

"What?" asked both Agatha and Stephen.

"That was where Piedro and I were born and where I lay low," I said.

"I guess that was how you got the Chaos Magic. Chthon chose you," said Agatha.

"The Elder god you told me about?" I asked her.

"Yes," she replied.

"Anyway, I think you are ready," said Stephen. "Go save Molly," he said, handing me the Sling Ring.

"Remember what you learned," said Agatha.

"I will." I circled my hand to open a portal that leads to the top of the mountain nearby since it's forbidden to travel to the throne. I flew up to the throne and started the encounter with Morgan.
