Three figures made their way out of the Uchiha clan village at a decent pace. Two out of the three were average height while the third was short, signifying his young age.
Reid followed Lisa and his mother as the left the village compounds and set off in their journey to menagerie. The two were either unaware or uncaring about his slight lack of focus as they left the village.
'Menagerie? What the hell are we going there for? The people in the village didn't seem that surprised at her sudden leave which means that this may not be the first time…'
Numerous questions filled his head as he walked slightly behind the pair of women. He was utterly confused but then he realized something important.
While he was in the village, he had no means of information of the outside world seeing as how almost nobody could be seen using a scroll. If he could get a grasp of the situation in menagerie, he would be able to figure out what timeline he's in. Hell for all he knew he could be in Team STRQ's generation.
Knowing what time in RWBY he was would help him tremendously in his future plans.
'For the time being, I should focus on [Aura].'
Other people prefer magic but he was not foolish enough to think about trying that with an immortal mad woman and a constantly reincarnating coward. In his opinion, nobody ever showed the true potential of Aura.
Scientists spent decades studying the secrets and the uses of Aura but yet they couldn't see what's right in front of them.
A small smirk found it's way to his face as he thought of the skills he was planning to create using [Aura].
Having Aura felt weird. It was like having a kind of sixth sense and a well of energy at his disposal. Maybe it was because he hadn't felt this kind of energy before that it felt large to him but he didn't have anything to compare to.
Reid observed his surroundings and noticed that they were going on a straight path and would be going like that for some time. With purpose, he focused inwardly, trying to feel his [Aura].
Seeing as he now had it unlocked and added to his skills list, it wasn't surprising that he could feel it almost instantly. He tried moving it around a few times. Although it was sluggish, it responded to his call.
[*Ding!*]
[You have gained Aura Manipulation!]
He suppressed his smile at the sight. Though it had become a tiny bit more fluid, it was still sluggish but he was happy nonetheless.
'It's a start.' He thought as he continued the process of moving his [Aura] around his body. A few cycles and…
[*Ding!*]
[Aura Manipulation has leveled up!]
[Aura has leveled up!]
His eyes widened a bit as he immediately opened his status window.

He had a general sense of the amount of [Aura] that he had and he felt it increase when [Aura] leveled up. He was even more shocked about the change in his stats.
His Vitality had increased by four points and his strength by one. It didn't take him more than a few seconds to figure out the reason behind the change.
'Aura is said to passively boost the body's strength and when used properly, act as a shield for protection or fulfills regenerative purposes.' He summarized as he took it all in.
'But is this a temporary boost or will it continue?' He pondered over it for some time before deciding to put that at the back of his mind and carefully observe it for now.
They were still walking on the straight road, with only the sound of Miko and Lisa chatting filling the silence. He hadn't needed to pay full attention to walk in a straight line so he could fully concentrate on grinding his new skill without alerting either Miko or Lisa.
While this was happening, Miko and Lisa kept up their discussion but there was something off about it that Reid would have noticed has he been paying attention. Reid wasn't as sneaky as he believed he was.
Little did he know, Miko and Lisa felt him draw on his aura and even more surprisingly, control it. It wasn't the best but it certainly wasn't an easy thing to do. What left them most confused was that during the exam he had his [Aura] locked.
Now, just a few days later and he had his [Aura] unlocked and was already manipulating it. More shocking was the amount that he had. The amount he had wasn't close to that of an elite huntsman or fighter but it was over two times the amount that someone of his age should have.
She and Lisa carefully watched Reid from the corner of their eyes, trying to figure out what he was doing. They could feel that he was using his [Aura] but they just didn't know what for.
This continued for over an hour with no change other than the fact that it would occasionally increase once in a while. It wasn't noticeable if you weren't looking at it for a long time.

"We'll stop here for the night." Miko said as they stopped near a stream. They left in the morning and it was already nighttime.
Reid who was walking up until now stopped and rested his back on a nearby tree. Due to [Gamer Body] he wasn't physically exhausted but mentally was something else.
He could deal with walking for hours but he couldn't deal with seeing only trees for hours on end. Add that to the fact that half of his attention was focused on inwardly circulating [Aura] around his body.
When they left the straight path, he couldn't count the amount of times he stumbled and almost fell because of his lack of awareness of his surroundings. He was sure that he gained more than a few stares of confusion each time as obstacles were very easy to avoid.
"Mom?" He called out, gaining her attention. She looked towards him gesturing him to continue.
"Not to be rude but are we really going to walk all the way to menagerie?" That was also something that burdened his mind as they walked.
They couldn't possibly walk all the way to menagerie unless they wanted the trip there to take months.
"Of course not." Miko said, dissolving his worries.
"There's a ship waiting for us way up ahead from here. We're using that to get to menagerie." She explained, watching in amusement as his expression changed from wary to relief.
A large amount of equipment flew out of Lisa's outstretched palm. Piles of unset tents and other necessities fell to the floor.
Seeing her release the items to the floor reminded him once again how similar it was to his inventory. Shaking the thoughts out of his head, he went forward to set up the equipment.
"Oh Reid!" Miko called his attention, pausing his actions.
"Don't worry about setting up the tents. We have a different job." She continued making him raise an eyebrow in confusion.
'Different…job?' Although confused, he shrugged and followed her as she lead the way, leaving Lisa to set up camp. She lead them to the a more forested area.
After walking for a while he finally decided to ask.
"What exactly is our job that needs us to come all the way out here?" He asked as she suddenly halted causing him to also halt in turn.
She gestured for him to be quiet before point towards the area in front of them where a deer feeding on grass. It immediately clicked in his mind what he job was supposed to be but he couldn't help but inwardly whine.
"Your job is to catch us some meat for dinner." Miko said not taking her eyes off the animal. As if sensing his complaint coming, she continued.
"You already have your [Aura] unlocked and you already seem to be figuring out it's usage. Think of this as a test to your progress." She didn't comment on his surprised expression. She felt a bit bad.
Honestly, she didn't plan on letting him hunt at first but after she noticed him making use of his [Aura] she decided to use this chance to see what he could do. She handed him a sharp knife and took a step back to observe what he would do.
'I'm sorry, Reid…' She thought as she watched him handle the knife carefully and seemingly focus on the deer.
