On the other side of city, black haired Dydeme was sitting on the bench with sad look, usually people know her as a sunshine but this day this image was hard to believe it was her. She irritated of other people's gaze, it looks like they pity her.
Well this morning news spread in city. Dydeme Volturi would be fourth wife of city lord. Last night that old city lord mesmerized by her beauty and immediately went to her brother Aro, he promised weighty position to him that his greedy little heart couldn't resist but accept it. Dydeme was furious to Aro and run outside without turning back. She wanted to find comfort but to her dismay these people's gaze were like a glue, always following her.
From young age Dydeme grown up as a princess, and never in her worst dream that she would sold like a living stock. And her dear brother was who sold her to old city lord. She wanted to go find Cassandra but her brother's words ring in her ears.
"Dydeme, now you are not a kid anymore and Cassandra has her own life, her parents and her country. we don't have any blood ties but will help you if you ask. She has many problems and we will be only be a burden to her nothing more nothing less"
Dydeme only thought that her brother has only good intentions toward Cassandra but in the truth he was only thinking about his skin and sold his sister mercilessly.
She was sitting near to the river and crystal clear tears slowly falling down to her cheeks. Her eyes filled with sour sadness
"do you want someone's pity for those tears of yours?" hurtful comment sounded right beside her and she lifted her head to see owner of that voice. To her surprise Marcus's deep gloomy eyes met with her sapphire blue. She was too astonished to utter a single word and only gaping at him.
Marcus secretly sighed and can't look away from pretty little face of Dydemes. This morning he too received the news of engagement and at that moment his heart ached. In last few months he realized that this little girls company was greatest joy in his life. this was his first time to feel happiness and love. But that news shattered all of his hope. He know that his wife Cruella has someone else, he knows she is cheating her and he didn't know what is restricting him from making move but at that moment he felt helpless.
At that moment Dydeme saw her most beloved person but her heart refused to look at him anymore. From the first moment she shouldn't fall in love and now her tiny heart ached because of this love. She would never want to receive his pity filled eyes, yes she wanted his attention but not in this way. She wanted his adoration and his love.
Marcus moved his hand to her tear stained cheek but she take a step back before he could reach. His dull eyes look at her eyes but what he saw at that moment make him speechless, that beautiful eyes always filled with happiness now become empty. Nothing left only emptiness showed up. Love, hate or rage everything flied away from her gaze. Her next words make him shocked
"you are right, I don't want your pity and you don't need to concern. It's my life, not my brothers not that old lords and not yours. It's mine, my life so I will change back everything" she gathered all of her courage and left without turning back. From young age she wanted to make others happy but no one care about her happiness. In the end she is human too, she feels, she cries and she gets angry but she was too good at hiding them from others also from herself. She was too cruel to herself now she wanted to make a change and she decided.
Dydeme run to palace but Cassandra wasn't there. She wanted to wait her but some interesting thing catches her attention. Every in a few months merchants come to the city and leave with their ships. Many people think it's risky because of pirates but she wanted to travel and wanted to find herself. She wants to fly away from her cage. She write down few words in the parchment and left it in Cassandra's room.
Without hesitation, without regret she set a foot in the big ship and sighed with a glee.
When Cassandra stepped inside her room she found a parchment with her friends neatly writing. Only inhumanly sigh escaped from her mouth
'from your sunshine,
Sorry Cassy but I need to go, no I want to go. I want to travel around the world. I can't be here with you and I don't know when I would return. But I promise you I will come back, I need a time. Again sorry that I didn't say a goodbye to you'
Cassandra was glad for her friend, and she strongly believe her. But still worry tugged inside of her unbeating heart.
