The news of missing Elizebeth shook the whole royal family. Although the news is strictly limited to the duke family and royal family alone. Most of the vassals of the royal family weren't aware of the bad news but it's not a ticket to idle around.

The king himself urged the special force to find the princess of the kingdom from the news travel until the next morning. They only stopped when the servants from the duke's mansion delivered her returner.

Thereupon, the queen, the king, and the prince went straight to the duke's mansion in a hurry leaving mountains of their work behind. As much as the works were important for them, Elizebeth was as much important or probably pivotal to all of them.

First of all, she was the princess of the kingdom. And second, she's part of the royal family. An adoptive of the royal family. It wasn't lipped service. They indeed meant it.

"Elizebeth! Elizebeth! My daughter." Callisto kicked the carriage door once the carriage parked right in front of the main door mansion. The royal manner of the king was thrown out of the window.

"My Elizebeth. My lovely Elizebeth." The queen named Haley followed behind her husband in the same manner with tears running down her cheeks. The tissue on each hand, the draped gown swept the dirt along the way, she ignored it.

"Hu~!" Alec, the prince, shook his head, meek. He was the only royal family that was calm in the havoc.

"Your Majesty…" Haris greeted in a short breath. Bowed to them in full respect.

"Whatever." Callisto bumped against him and ran inside without care.

"Elizebeth honey." Haley followed right behind her husband.

Haris was perplexed by the action of the ruler of the kingdom. He had never seen the frantic power couple in the kingdom freaked out without the care of others.

Callisto was a free spirit man yet refined still. The air was usually heavy with a majestic aura but now it's just as childish as petulant duke's sons when making trouble.

"I apologize for the way the rulers acted." At least, Alec had the decency to look apologetic.

Haris masked his true feeling with a benign smile, putting his hand on his chest. "I'll show you the way, Your Highness."

"Sure."

Whilst Callisto shook Duke's arm soon he found him and Haley cried at the Duchess as if Elizebeth was their child.

"Your Majesty." The Duchess covered her lips with her palm, her lips moved fighting her urge from smiling.

"Your Majestic king Callisto. May I know what occasion I owe you?" Duke looked mad, because he was definitely posturing a little, and his eyes were severely sharp. His stoic face didn't cover up the murderous intention aura around.

"Duke Brice. What's happening to our daughter, Elizebeth? Where is she?" Callisto curled his fingers fisting around the palm, the nervous expression evidently circles the face.

Duke sighed. "Rest assured, Your Majesty. Elizebeth is okay. The royal doctor that you sent is currently examining her whole body as we speak."

"Thank god. Thank god." Haley collapsed her head onto the duchess's shoulder.

"Aside from the bruises, the young lady didn't sustain any heavy injury." Told the doctor as he wiped his hands with the tissue.

"Thank you," Derrick bowed before shuffling to the Elizebeth and holding her without permission. "Do you have a good time, My Lord?" He asked. The question sounded inappropriate the way the doctor took a glance at them both.

"Yes," Elizebeth kicked her legs happily. She's indeed had a good time.

Derrick kissed her head. It sounds rude to ask such a question in a normal setting, however, Elizebeth was his master, first off. Secondly, the smile on the face couldn't fool him. She found her prey by accident. She was so giddy when he met the eyes of hers. She hunched him at the ginger-haired man that listened tentatively to the duke's words. He knew the drill since.

"I'll assist the traveler. When will you want to meet him, My Lord?"

She patted his arms, acknowledged his hard work. "Tomorrow."

Derrick gazed at him a momentary. His strong arms supported her bottom, "I will do as you please, My Lord." He bowed a bit.

"Good." She patted Derrick's head as Derrick put her down.

Elizebeth left the room alone without any of her servants. She dismissed them, letting them continue their work. She wasn't aware of time but there were people outside the room regardless, bickering or talking among themselves. Her shoulder was full of bruises, just walking seemed to make her shoulder hurt yet she was covered with a smile on her face as usual.

"Your Majesty?" She gaped to see the important figures outside of the room.

"Elizebeth?!" Everyone collectively turned around in her direction. Various faces with identical solemn atmospheres greeted her.

"Are you okay, my daughter?" Haley asked, rooted at her place.

"Yes," though it wasn't convincing enough.

The way she was walking, all hunched over and rather close to a lurch, probably made her look like a freaking drunk or maybe a drug addict. Combined with her sweating like rainwater, she wasn't surprised that they were staring at her as she trudged towards them.

"You are not okay, my honey bear." Haley's trembling hands dramatically brought Elizebeth inside her arms. Caressing her cheek gingerly as the tears run down like a waterfall.

Haley the queen was a stern mother of the kingdom but a very sweet mother to Elizebeth. She had high-level empathy when it came to her. She spoiled Elizebeth rotten way more than duke's family ever did.

"My daughter. You are okay? Who hurt you, my daughter? Let this papa punish them. Oh, my sweet daughter." Callisto hugged her too. Rubbed his clean face with her cheek.

She smiled again, the end of the line was twitching but it was unnoticeable. The one thing he disliked about the king and the queen was they excessively and exaggeratedly moaning her pains or any of her achievements. Flabbergasted her most of the time. She curled her fingers, blinking to her mother, sending her a signal.

"Your Majesty-" She sighed before another voice interrupted them.

"Your Majesty, the king Callisto, and the queen Haley, I demand you to put the patient down. The tight hug might harm the severe injury she sustains." The cold voice opposite to the rulers acted like the true ruler than the real rulers.

"Oh my, Your Highness Alec. You might be right." Haley pushed her husband away, reluctantly put her down on the floor.

"Did you bear the severe injury, my daughter?" Callisto crouched down, his long official attire draped on the floor without his care.

She tried to steal a glance from the prince and she made it so subtle. The prince just put his finger on his lips to tell him it was a secret she was okay. She gladly followed the lead. Easier for her to deal with them.

"It was unquestionably hurt as much as I plugged my teeth out and fell from the 20 stairs in that order." She blinked pitifully.

"Oh, my honey bear." Haley stagnation on the ground. Weeping as she reached Elizebeth's hand. "My honey bear is sick. Your Majesty king Callisto, we need to bring her to the palace. We need to nurse herself back to her usual health."

"Right, right. I agree." He nodded vehemently.

Elizebeth turned in panic towards the prince, wide eyes, jaw dropped. The duke and the duchess gazed at them in different reactions though shared the same lethal aura. She's begging the prince. In front of her was the weeping couple while behind her were the possessive couple. Both were bad news to her.

Alec ruffled his own hairs. His parents were dramatic, specifically facing the princess of the kingdom, which coincidentally is the favorite duke's daughter. His parents had flair for drama, they always acted aggressively to any slightest unusual event that occurred.

Most of the time, he left them alone, but not today.

Both Duke and Duchess eyeing both of them like a predator wanted to slaughter their prey.

"Enough with the impudent behavior, Your Majesty king Callisto and Your Majesty queen Haley. It's time for us to return. We have a pile of paperwork need to be done by today." His voice was full of authority. It was not an order still. Was the professional son who weighed the need and the interest of both parties.

"Prince Alec…" Callisto frowned.

"I beg pardon for my parents' impudent behavior. We will come to visit again when it is less hectic for us." He courtesy towards the duke and the duchess. "Time for us to go, father, mother." He turned around, his long coat waved beautifully, his hair moved and glittering under the sun. He was indeed a handsome young man with great manners.

"Son." Haley changed her direction as quickly as her son. "I will visit you again, my honey bear." She bid farewell with a kiss on top of her forehead and waved goodbye to the duchess before tailing her son.

"Fine." Callisto patted her head. "I'm going, duke."

"Never return." Duke bowed gladly.

"We'll see." Callisto shrugged and walked away.
