Chapter 254

After receiving the report from the reclusive mage in the city, Commander Lars went out and arrange for an assault force to try and take the enemy camp by surprise. This was a rare chance where they can go out of the city and try to break the siege on the city, if they will succeed then they might be able to drive away the invaders from the vicinity of the city. Soldiers were gathering at the northern gate of the city as they waited for their other comrades to join them.

All the students of the commander were present during the gathering as they were hoping that they would join their teacher in the assault. A force comprised of a thousand infantry and five hundred cavalry gathered behind the close gate of the northern wall. The giant doors slowly creaked open as gathered dust started falling down from the enormous doors which forced the Ereians to cover their eyes.
