Claire's mind went blank for a moment. Her onyx eyes looked into the violet-pink pair of the Beauty Goddess, and deep within them was a rare solemnity that betrayed the apparent playfulness in her tone.
But then, as though blind to her state, Aphrodite continued, each of her words revealing cosmic knowledge that was simply beyond the understanding of Claire… until now.
"I, or we, came from a faraway realm. A realm with greater and complete laws the likes of which universes like yours would never fathom… was what I would have said, if the fact that the specialty of this universe wasn't so glaring.
"Actually, that was a lie. The uniqueness was so hidden that were it not for my Race's ability to pick up even the slightest resonance in the fabric of reality, this universe would have been ignored… just like it had been ignored for so long.
