Chapter 7 ( edited with system)

At the Cullen's house, everyone was waiting for the rest of the family to arrive for an emergency meeting. Finally, Carlisle arrived from work at the hospital.

Carlisle: "Did you guys find mates for Edward and Alice?"

Jasper: "Yes, we did. Their names are Tony and Bella Swan. The other reason we called for a meeting was because when I met Alice's mate, I sensed a dangerous aura coming from him. I even had Edythe and Alice show up to confirm the feeling. They felt the same way."

Alice jumped in to defend her mate.

Alice: "He does have that feeling, but I sense from him that he is only dangerous to the people who attack him or the people he cares about."

Edward spoke up.

Edward: "I couldn't read their minds either. When I tried to read Tony's mind, it gave me a massive headache. It was like some kind of backlash."

Alice gave Edward a stern stare, clearly upset that he had tried to invade her mate's privacy by reading his mind.

Edythe chimed in, "At least they can have some privacy, unlike us who can't have any when we're around you."

Edward shot his sister a glare, but Edythe simply ignored it.

Carlisle intervened, trying to diffuse the tension. "Now, stop, you two. As for Alice's mate, we will keep a close eye on him to ensure he is not a threat to the family. No one is allowed to reveal our true nature to him until we are certain he is on our side. And as for Edward's mate, we will also keep a watchful eye on her. Being the twin sister of Alice's mate, it's important to ensure their safety as well. That is all."

The family nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of protecting their newfound mates and maintaining their secrecy.

Everyone left except Alice. She saw Jasper and came up with a plan. She pulled Jasper's ear and took him outside to have a private conversation.

The next day at school, before it started, Bella and I were sitting atop a table. She had an open book in her lap, and I was listening to music on my iPod. Bella's eyes were fixed on the arriving students and the parking lot, waiting for Edward. Jessica, Angela, Mike, and Eric were kicking around a soccer ball nearby. They waved for Bella to join them, but she smiled and declined, returning her attention to watching for Edward. Her expression showed that she was ready for a confrontation. However, when the Cullens pulled in, Edward was not with them. Bella was visibly upset about it.

Then I noticed Alice waving at me. I smiled and waved back at her. She returned the smile. Bella gave me a weird look and rolled her eyes.

"What? I think she's cute. Don't take it out on me just because the person you're looking for isn't here."

Bella replied, "I wasn't looking for him. And even if I were, it's not like I care."

I laughed and gave her a grin.

"I didn't say who it was."

Bella stared me down and then playfully pushed me off the table as I laughed. I started walking to my first class when I noticed Jasper standing there. He began walking towards me.

Jasper: "How's it going? May I have a few minutes of your time?"

"Not much, and sure, I have some time."

From the corner of my eye, I thought I saw Alice hiding in the corner.

Jasper: "I'm wondering if you have any plans for the weekend. If not, would you like to hang out with Alice, Edythe, and me?"

"Hmm... Are you trying to set me up on a double date with Alice?" I asked teasingly.

Jasper smiled slightly. "Pretty much. I'll be straightforward with you. She wants to get to know you better."

"Sure, I'd like to get to know her better as well," I replied.

Suddenly, a small squeal could be heard from the corner. I smiled, knowing it was Alice's excitement. Jasper shook his head and ignored it.

"That's great. We'll pick you up at your house. Let's exchange numbers," Jasper suggested.

"Sure, just let me know the day before where we're going and what time to be picked up," I agreed, reaching for my phone to exchange numbers with Jasper."

After exchanging numbers, we went our separate ways. I couldn't help but feel excited about the upcoming date with Alice. However, I decided to join them for lunch today since I had promised to do so last time. As I walked to the classroom, I couldn't help but anticipate the reactions of everyone when I approached their table. It was going to be an interesting lunchtime.
