Chapter 43 : If you can't kill me, you can't save Gotham

Gotham City, Ace Chemical Plant.

Puff puff…

With a few muffled sounds, mud projectiles made small holes in the steel plate like bullets. The Clay-faced villain, with one arm turned into a sledgehammer, aggressively beat the entangling plants.

"Little girl, I want to smash you into meat sauce!"

Unfortunately, the Clay face's mouth was impervious, unable to resist the pervasive plants and countless rhizomes that wrapped around his legs, penetrating his body to decompose the torso.

Having experienced her first murder, Ivy faced death calmly. She pointed to the mud-faced villain and said, "Children, let's make this mud shut up."

A plant, responding to Ivy's command, violently burrowed into the Clay face's mouth and soon exploded the opponent's head, trunk, and limbs. After a while, only a puddle of mud remained on the ground.

"Didn't your teacher teach you? Soil is the nutrient of plants."

After defeating Clay Face, Batgirl kicked the mad hatter's fox-headed hat, sending it flying into the wall. Stephanie took off the anti-hypnosis glasses, looked at Ivy, and smiled. "A new product; the effect is not bad."

Professor Pigman wielded a kitchen knife against Damian, but lacking systematic training, he was no match for Damian despite his superior strength. After a brief struggle, Damian seized an opportunity to incapacitate Professor Pigman.

"What…"

Under the pain, Professor Pigman screamed, and the kitchen knife struck Damian's head.

Clang!

The swords clashed, and though Damian was pushed back, he laughed. "Your left leg is no longer conscious, right? Lie down and lie flat; I won't let you suffer any more pain."

Being ridiculed by a child, Professor Pigman's eyes filled with anger. He injected himself with a chemical, claiming, "Batman's bird, don't forget, I am an excellent chemist."

After the injection, Professor Pigman's heartbeat accelerated, and a bloodthirsty light flashed in his eyes.

"What did you inject? A stimulant or adrenaline? But I advise you not to waste your efforts because you are doomed to fail."

While Ivy, Stephanie, and Damian progressed smoothly, Firefly, Nightwing, and Red Hood faced more significant challenges.

Scarecrow's fear gas overwhelmed Firefly, causing her to spew flames uncontrollably, almost collapsing.

Nightwing struggled against Two-Face. Unlike Professor Pigman, the fusion with animals had a significant impact, allowing Two-Face to suppress Nightwing.

Red Hood, facing Schrader, was battered and bloodied. The two were not on the same level, and Red Hood could only endure the onslaught.

Boom!

Red Hood was forcefully punched in the chest, crashing into the wall and creating a pit. Blood spurted out as he knelt on the ground.

Ignoring Red Hood, Schrader focused on Batman. "Don't go!"

Vines attacked Schrader, but he effortlessly cut them off with his claws. Dismissing Ivy and Damian, he sneered, "I have no time to play with you; get out!"

Woo…

Suddenly, a siren-like sound echoed outside, and a large airship flew over, heading toward the depths of the chemical plant.

Schrader's eyes lit up; he understood the signal. The plan was about to begin. Ivy, Stephanie, and Damian rushed towards Schrader.

"I said, get out of here!"

Schrader unleashed a shockwave, blasting the three of them away.

After his big move, Schrader gasped for breath. The exertion was taking a toll, but he was determined.

Inside the factory, Batman and Ra's al Ghul engaged in a fierce confrontation. Bruce, feeling the severity of the situation, contemplated breaking his vow not to kill.

"If you can't hold the faith to kill me, you can't save Gotham; this city will be complete hell!" Ra's al Ghul provoked while fighting.

Batman's movements became fierce, attacking the deadly places of his opponent. Ra's al Ghul noticed the change but welcomed it, hoping Bruce would break his creed.

In the room containing the spray device, Jude fired the freezing gun, freezing most of the protective cover, Dr. Fly yelled to stop him.

The bullhead and pig-faced villain charged at Jude, but laser shots and freezing rays incapacitated him.

Another adversary fired a modified nail gun, and Jude avoided the deadly shots. Dr. Fly Bagst instructed him to use circuitous tactics.

Jude, taking advantage of the distraction, approached the bull-headed villain but he fired indiscriminately, forcing Jude to avoid the shots.

Feeling a chill from behind, bullhead reacted too late. Jude immobilized him with the freezing gun, and Dr. Fly realized the dire situation.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Batman and Ra's al Ghul continued their intense battle. Bruce contemplated breaking his vow to save Gotham, while Ra's al Ghul goaded him to do so.

Jude entered the room, firing the freezing gun continuously, freezing most of the protective cover. Dr. Fly Bagst shouted to stop him, and Niu Tau, armed with a nail gun, fired wildly at Jude.

Jude, agile and resourceful, avoided the shots and used the freezing gun to incapacitate both adversaries. Dr. Fly Bagst recognized the imminent danger.

The situation outside the room remained critical, with Batman and Ra's al Ghul locked in a fierce confrontation. Ra's al Ghul, sensing Bruce's internal struggle, continued to provoke and taunt him.
