Chapter 154 : Thanos

Meanwhile, billions of light-years away from the Milky Way, in the Beliffen galaxy, Altairan, Thanos, one of the overlords of the universe, resided.

Unlike the original narrative, Thanos wasn't a Titan here, and he didn't live on Titan either. Otherwise, with the galaxy's proximity, Earth would've been conquered long ago. In this world, Thanos was a member of the New Protoss, just like Darkside, alongside Mongo.

In the dawn of creation, before the universe began, the old gods appeared as the first self-aware beings. However, their existence was short-lived, and they soon vanished. After their disappearance, the new gods emerged, including beings like Yuka Khan, the Celestial group, and the Observers.

As the energy of the old gods dissipated, planets began to spawn their own gods, like Odin and Zeus. These gods were known as planet gods or native gods, and while their power was generally weaker than the new gods, some, like Odin and Zeus, were exceptionally powerful.

Thanos, born to Yuka Khan along with his brothers Daxed and Mongo, became one of the new Protoss. After Yuka Khan's disappearance, a power struggle ensued on Apocalypse, ultimately leading to Darkside's reign.

Thanos stood at the port of Atlan Star with his Obsidian Five Generals, waiting for Darkside's arrival.

"Thanos, you've been waiting for two hours. Maybe you should rest while we continue to wait," Ebony Maw suggested.

Thanos snorted. "I must greet Darkside myself. You don't have that privilege."

"Once you see him, lower your head and avoid eye contact, or Omega rays will incinerate you."

Soon, Darkside's arrival caused space to ripple, and Altairan found itself next to another planet.

The magnetic fields interfered, causing chaos and knocking soldiers to the ground. Thanos knew Darkside would not leap over Apocalypse, and indeed, Mongo arrived first, followed by Darkside's space battleship.

"Mongo, keep your war world away from here!" Thanos commanded.

The world of war separated from Altairan's, and Darkside's battleship docked in the harbor.

Mongo leaped off the ship and confronted Thanos. "It's been a while, my brother."

"You're still as annoying as ever," Thanos retorted.

As the two brothers exchanged words, Darkside's ship appeared, signaling his arrival.
