Chapter 53

The next morning

Amara woke up to the cold wind entering through the windows, the sky was covered in clouds but it didn't look like it was going to rain it was just going to be a cold day, she yawned and she sat up straight stretching her already tired body. She looked at the right side of the bed and it was empty, it looked like Ian had woken up before she did. She sighed rembering what had transpired the last night before she went to bed. 'Of course he wouldn't want to see me now' she said in her head. It made her feel bad about not being able to have sex with Ian, she felt like it was her fault but the voice in the back of her head told her that it was all Ian's fault if he hadn't raped her mercilessly then they would have done it last night. She got up from the bed realizing that she was naked, then she remembered that she never put anything on last night after Ian left the room. She sighed walking to the bathroom to take a shower, she just hoped that Ian would have gone to work or something because she wouldn't know how to face him if she bumped into him right now. She turned the shower on letting the water pour on her body. Letting herself drown in her thoughts.

After taking a shower she wore a white strapless t-shirt and blue jeans and black sandals. She went out of the room and she found Ian sitting in the dining hall eating breakfast. 'Oh god, did he really have to be here?' Amara asked herself. She walked towards the dining table, sitting on the chair opposite to him. "Good morning." Ian said. "Uhm, morning." Amara said nervously. "Did you sleep well last night.?"He asked her."Yeah I did." She said. "Okay." He said and then he continued eating his breakfast quietly. And Amara ate hers too, the silence was a bit too awkward for Amara but it's not like it was the first time they had an awkward silence but it was still hard for Amara to get used to this."There is something that I have to do at the company today and I won't be back until late, and the doctor will be coming over to check you up today and if there is anything wrong then he will inform you." He said. "Uhm okay." That's all she could say. Then they continued eating.

After eating breakfast Ian left and Amara was now sitting on the couch in the living room watching cartoons, there was nothing better to watch anyway. "Ma'am the doctor is here." The butler said. "Okay." Amara said and then the butler left. Then she got up from the couch and the doctor entered the living room. "Hello doctor." Amara said. "Hello there Mrs Royce, it has been a while since we met." The doctor said, shaking her hand. And then they both sat down. "I am sure that Ian has told you about your child having high chances of suffering from pneumonia." He said. "Uhm yeah he did." She said. Talking about this really made her uncomfortable. "It's okay if you don't feel like talking about it... Anyway I cae here today to give you this." He said handing her a file. "what is it?"she asked him."it has all the answers to your questions, I lied to Ian telling him that I was here to check on your health and the baby's health, but I only wanted to give you this." He said. "What do you mean it has all the answers to my questions?" Amara asked him. "I know why you are here and how you got here, I know what Ian is planning too... The thing is I can't bare to see you end up like those other women, read this and there is a phone number on the back of the file, if you need to leave or anything then just call this number. " He said. "Doctor I don't understand, what are you trying to say?"Amara asked, this was all too confusing for her. "You are still around because of that child you are varying in your womb, after you give birth he will do what he told you he was going to do." He said. "Are you saying that he is going to take my baby away?" Amara asked. "Yes, so i will Ian that you were giving birth a week after the actual date which is yet to be confirmed... So when the time comes for you to give birth, I will find a way to keep Ian from here and you will get the chance to call thus person and he will come and pick you up. "He said. "I know that this is a lot of information to take in all at once, but you still have time to think about it, I'll see you some other time I have to go now." He said standing up and then leaving. Thus was a lot of information for Amara to take in, and she didn't know whether to believe it or not, a part of her didn't want to believe it because of how Ian has been treating her lately, he had been so nice to her, but another part of her wanted to believe the doctor because of how he treated her when she first got here and still not being able to fully trust him. But what she didn't understand was what he meant by the other women, thus Ian do the same thing to his previous wives but decided to lock them up in the basement instead of kicking them out or was there more to thus story than she knows. Maybe this file is her key to freedom, maybe thus file does have all the answers to her questions and maybe thus person can help her escape from this and be free like she has always wanted to. 'I'll just have to wait, but first I have to hide this file.' She said to herself and then she got up from the couch going to find a place to hide the file.
