Chapter 54

It was 2am and Amara was sitting outside on the balcony looking up at the sky, Ian had called her and told her that he was on his way back and that he would back at around 4am. She tried to sleep but she just kept on twisting and turning so that is why she decided to go to the balcony and get some fresh air and clear her mind if possible. But her mind was still flooded with questions, questions that she had no answers to. A part of her wanted to believe what the doctor had said but another part of her did not want to. She had fallen in love with him, that is why she did not want to believe the doctor, she thought that, the questions were just too much but the worst part about it is that she could not find the answers to any of them. what if he was up to no good, what if he wanted to harm her and her baby and the only way to do it is to get her away from Ian. She sighed in frustration, her life was getting even more and more twisted. There was nothing that she wanted more than to be happy, it didn't matter what she had to do she just wanted to be happy.

It was now 3:45 am and Amara was still outside on the balcony but now she was sitting on one of the chairs, she really couldn't fall asleep, sometimes she wished that her cerebrum would just shut down for a minute. After a few minutes she heard the bedroom door open and she heard someone walk in she turned around and saw that it was Ian, his hair was messy and his eyes looked tired. He really has been overworking himself. "Why aren't you sleeping yet?" Ian asked after he noticed Amara sitting on the balcony. "Uhm... I wasn't feeling sleepy." She answered nervously. "You know it's not good for you, you need to have enough sleep okay, and don't stress yourself." He said, Amara looked into his tired eyes and to her they were filled with love and gentleness, she told herself that maybe that doctor was wrong, maybe he really loved her, maybe he had changed, he was not the same Ian that he used to be."I won't stress myself." She replied. "Good I am going to take a shower so that I can sleep I am a bit tired." He said sighing in exhaustion. "Would you mind if I joined you." Amara said, she was even surprised by her own words. "I would love it if you did but, it's almost 4am and you haven't slept yet, so for your own good and our baby's health go to sleep... Now." He said looking at Amara. "Okay, mom." She said, doing what she was told which is sleeping.

12:45pm

"For how long do I have to keep this up?" Ian asked his butler as he sat down on the chair in his study. "Long enough to make her stay." his butler replied. "You mean make her fall in love with me." Ian said. "Well I can not control people's feeling sir, so if she falls in love with you then that's not my problem to deal with it's yours."He said. "First of all you want me to take your advice of treating her nicely, but if she falls in love with me it's not your problem to deal with but mine? You know what, I won't be paying you for the next eight months." Ian said. "Okay fine I will not let you deal with your problems on your own anymore... Oh by the way I overheard, Amara and the doctor's conversation today." He said. "Now you want to watch even when she's getting a check up, seriously I'm the one who is supposed to do that not you." Ian said. "Well I'm afraid that good old doctor did not come to check on Amara's health and the baby's health, he had another motive." He said. "Which is?" Ian asked. "If you want me to tell you then you have to give me a raise." He said. "Really? Fine, I'll give you a raise but you won't be getting your bonus this year's Christmas." Ian said. "OH fine, I'm okay with that... Well that doctor of yours is up to no good, he is planning on helping Amara escape,he told her that he will lie to you about the birth date of the baby and he will keep you away when the time comes so that she can escape." He said."Can you please elaborate." Ian said. "He gave her a file containing all your secrets, and confidantial information about your company and at the back of the file there was RA's number,he told her that when the time comes she should call that number and that person will rescue her... But I managed to steal the file while she wasn't looking. "He said."What a backstabbing bitch! , I knew that that moron would turn against me sooner or later,when is he coming to my house again?" Ian asked. "on the 26th next month." He said. "Okay, make sure that that river bank becomes his final resting place... Nobody can ever get away with what he did, and make sure to clean up after you are done." Ian said. "As you wish master." The butler replied and then he left, leaving Ian alone to drown in his own thoughts. He started to question himself, why he even wants to have kids with, when the real reason he took her from her home was so that he could toture her and make her pay for her father's deeds, but now he just doesn't feel like doing it anymore, he doesn't hate her like he thought he did, yes he still hates her father but he doesn't hate her, in fact he cares about her but love, no Ian was not that kind of person to fall in love with anyone because he doesn't believe in it and he still doesn't understand why people think that if someone treats them with care and respect loves them, not everybody does.
