-Why are you at the vampire kingdom?- Dabria asked as I am led by the king through the same tunnel for when I was made prince.

I then arrived at the chamber with the bowl of flames and the wall of names of famous vampires throughout history.

-Oh why are you up early?-

-Why are YOU up early?- she countered -You could've woken us up, we can help you-

-Everyone need rest since you all have been covering me while I recovered, so I came here on my own.-

-Fair enough, but I got news, that's why I woke up early, it should be great news for both of us especially me-

-I can use great news.-

-I asked a favor from Thanatos, I found Cain.-

-Oh! Where? And have I told you how lovely you are?-

-Get over yourself, but yes I know that I'm lovely.- she groaned -He's in Tartarus.-

-Fuck me.-

-Yes, fuck you.-

This goddess, I swear. I then told her about my deal with the king and everything that happened that night as she reported to me about her conversation with Thanatos.

-Didn't your mother forbid you to work for 2 weeks?- she asked -This is technically a business trip-

-Since when have I been following the rules, I hate rules since they're meant to be broken anyway.-

"Perseus, please give your blood to the flame." The king requested which I did as he asked

The flames glowed bright red and when the king dripped his blood in, the flames consumed the whole room. Despite being technically on fire, I don't feel burning but another type of pain as if my blood is literally boiling from the inside.

"I, Brennon Elrod, and my prince, Perseus Silver seek an audience with you, Valentino Crimson" the king shouted as he looks upward

"Why are you coming along?"

"I just want to see if you can really get the power. I want to know if Urie is right about you." he replied "Urie, the person whom I deem to be the most powerful vampire, has been adamant about voting for you, I want to know the reason."

-He just lost a bet, the king is overestimating you- Dabria commented -I'll see you there, I'll be accompanying you, but just so you know, I'll be snitching on you to your parents.-

-Damn you, you are not lovely today.-

I can see my body and the king's body turning into red mist and heading upwards.

I then reappeared in this sort of cave with bats everywhere, if it wasn't for my enhanced vision and 'eyes of god', I won't see anything. In this empty cave, there's a blood red throne with a vampire sitting on it.

I can sense that he's a god, Valentino Crimson, the god and first of vampire. He looks to be in his late 50s, 183cm tall, lean and muscular, has long white hair and dark red eyes while wearing a fancy red suit.

"Hello Perseus Silver, I've been looking forward to meeting you." he greeted "It's nice to see you again Brennon."

"It is my honor and pleasure." the king bowed

I can then see Dabria arriving in her usual black cocoon entrance right next to me.

"Ah nice to meet you Dabria, it seems like you have chosen a good mortal to sponsor." he chuckled "Nice to actually meet you 2 lovebirds in person."

"No offense, but what the hell tell you that we're lovebirds?"

"Did you not know that Aphrodite has spread the footage of you 2 kissing among the gods?" he asked

"No wonder that bastard was laughing!" Dabria exclaimed "Damn that Thanatos, worst god of death ever! What's wrong with helping me getting a spirit out of my body? It's already humiliating enough that I had to ask him for help!"

"Should you be calling Thanatos right hand man a bastard?"

"You call Hypnos the same thing, what do you know about right or wrong?!"

"Seeing you 2 in person is even more funnier" Valentino chuckled

"Alright whether we're lovers or not isn't important, I'm here for-"

"What the fuck do you mean by 'not important' ?!" Dabria interrupted "Deny it! My reputation is at stake here!"

"Dabria, honey, if you interrupt me right now, I will kiss you to shut you up. You know I will do it...Good."

"Well I've come here for the abilities and your alliance, I know you're a neutral god, but I'm here to convince you otherwise."

"Ok counter offer, I'll give you the abilities if you shut up and not convince me to change my neutrality stance." he countered

"Do you not want more screen time?"

"In this stupid novel?"

"Well what other novel am I talking about?"

"Well will you take the deal, my prince?" he asked "I rather not fight in a war and just watch by the side which is strange for a vampire, but I lived far too long and fought far too long, I have considered retiring, but I currently need a successor, and I do not want to give my position to another god nor do I want to wait for a god to be born to fill my position."

"Wait, why have I never heard of this?" Brennon asked

"I'm very old, child, I want to rest. being a god is both a blessing and a curse." Valentino chuckled "Perseus, want to be my replacement?"

The vampire king is shocked at Valentino's question towards me.

"No, I'm already going to live long and I think that that's enough for me. I have no desire to be a god. Dabria have also the same thoughts like you, the 3 replacement candidates are Beatrice, her saint, Richard the grand commander of her holy knight and Jake who currently serves me. One will replace her while 2 will be granted immortality and serve as the replacement advisers."

"You will need permission from the council first." Valentino informed "But will they even accept the position?"

"If they don't, it's fine by me." Dabria shrugged "Immortality isn't for me."

"Well Perseus, will you take my deal?" Valentino asked

"Oh that's a win for me cuz I'll take your abilities."
