Every time those gorgers open their mouths, I would throw the miniature bombs into their mouth and explode them from the inside, splattering their head everywhere. One charged at and I managed to held them down and punched it in the face.

It swung its tentacles at when it recovered, but my gauntlet then gathered a large amount energy and charged forward dodging the tentacles and punching it in the face killing it with the blow.

I jumped from one to another spinning around in the air dodging their tentacles and landing on them to deliver a killing blow, finishing them all in one shot.

By activating 'Presence', it scared them off a bit. I miss having Dabria with me already, usually having her with me would allow me to kill people after a few moments of activating it if I use my full power. I can then sense a few infected nearby in the crowd of gorgers.

I then took out my assault rifle again and shoot the gorgers down as I run at the direction of the infecteds.

"Kenny, you might wanna cover my back" I requested

"You always keep forgetting to say over." Kenny replied "Just a few times to start the day and there it goes, our protocol and training out the window. Go, I'll cover you. Over."

"We always have the habit of talking too much. 'Over' " I mocked him as I charge into the direction of the infecteds.

"Grace, mow em down faster." Kelly grumbled "I know that we're supposed to be here for at least 3 days, but I would love to stay only for today. Over."

"Fuck all you guys"

I know what will happen, if this test in like what happened, we'll stay only till next morning, the number 1's squad is supposed to go back to base, and traveled through our route and make our mission end quicker by interfering. My squad prioritize safety so we tend to finish things later, her squad prioritize efficiency, clearing things as quickly as possible.

After the successful help from them, they will invite our squad to join them in that one stupid mission, we were promised that we would become a legal citizen right after since the mission is important...I did, my 3 siblings didn't.

With her ability, I can see why, and unlike us, she isn't an immigrant. So she isn't forced to be in here like us, she wants fame. Soldiers like us with abilities gain fame, especially the top 50 like me.

But the moment we were placed there, we were given a choice of hiding our information or showing it off, so I hid it, a few did too. I have no interest in fame really, though my current life is the opposite of that.

"There's 3 just like the reports"

"Well you know that reports don't lie, you idiot! Over!" Benny retorted

"I'm smarter than you in more ways than one, Benny. Over."

I arrived at the infecteds destination and shoot down the nearby gorgers, the ones attacking me from the back gets shot down by Kenny. I can see a helicopter far away, using magic would be too obvious, so I got a plan to change my fate.

My rifle have a single burst mode that consume the whole magazine's battery and shoot a laser blast in stead of a bullet. One of their crew will jump down about 2 minutes later to 'help'...basically show off, and I'll accidently shoot the burst, piercing through several infecteds who I will now try to gather in range.

"I'm seeing a helicopter coming in our route. Over." Kenny reported

I finally gunned downed the gorgers and isolated the infecteds. I put my rifle away and activated my gauntlets and engaged them in melee combat. Infecteds might be strong but like the gorgers, they are very dumb and only throw simple punches or kicks at most.

"Grace, are you gathering them together? Over." Kenny asked

"Weird, I thought killing them one by one is more your style. Over" Kelly commented

"Yeah, you usually lure one away and destroy a building's floor with it. Over." Benny added

"Just have a new idea I want to try out" I replied as one of them threw a punch at me, I used his own strength against him, and flip the infected over my shoulder. I stopped the other's tentacles attack with both my arms, the third was about to hit me, but Kenny's shot it it and the other 2 are shot as well.

"Tough as always, but well, they're drunk now, so do whatever, Grace. Over." Kenny said

"Aye aye captain"

As they were daze, I used that one moment to pull out my assault rifle, changed the magazine and changed it to the single burst mode while making some distance. The one on the ground got up and along with the other 2 sloppily ran at me.

I can still use 'eyes' of god', so I activate it to see far away that one jump off the plane like what actually I rush at them and slide, aim the gun a bit upwards and pulled the trigger, the blast went through the 3 and pierced them, blasting through the falling person's leg in the distance.

I won't kill them, otherwise I might get kicked out which would put in this limbo zone for a while as I wait for another country to take me in if this is the real world. But even if this is a test, I don't want to hurt my siblings even if they're an illusion.

I won't get punished for this, other squads can not interfere with another one's mission unless they got permission which they didn't.

They interfered back then but we let them get away with it since we get to go home quick. Now they won't invite us to join their mission 2 months from now since they would be angry and not be able to work with us.

I then see 5 people jumping after the guy falling and all 6 launch their parachute to land.

"You fucker! Because of you, he now has one less leg!" One of their squad member pushed me as we met up.

"Well how would I know that one of you fuckers would jump and join in?! We can fucking handle it on our own. And guess what, I took 3 infected downs in one shot while you 6 just broke protocol, try to bring me to court, you know what would happen. 1 have lost his celebrity status, 5 more would look bad"

"Grace calm down, captain's orders" Kenny said as he and Benny held me back

"Yeah, besides you might kill them" Kelly grumbled

"That's enough out of you all" the captain said

The number 1, Karen Melissa. 20 years old, 170cm tall, blond hair, blue eyes. 1 ability, 'Expunge'. Every time she activates it and swipes her hand, the thing in front of her hands get erased out of existence. Range: 4m and there's a cooldown between each time she can use it which is kept secret.

"Well blame yourselves" I responded "My shot won't even have it the fucking copter, you're fault for jumping down and getting hit by the blast that wouldn't have hit you if you just stayed out of range like you're supposed to"

"If you want a fight right now, Grace, I'll go. Even if you win, I doubt that the rest will make it out a live though, your 3rd ability is still kept secret after all"

"You really are a karen, really nosy" Benny scoffs
