Between a Rock and a Hard Place

I didn't mean to kill it…

Looking at the slime splattered all over the ground in front of her, Scaly could not help feeling a bit sorry, it wasn't her fault that it was so weak that it died from being casually slapped by her, she really didn't intend on killing it!

Unfortunately, there was not much she could do about it now that the small slime had died. Even if she wanted to find out more about the powerful slime behind it, it looked like she could only hope to keep her eyes open for it or spot another of the slime clones.

At the very least, considering that it was a powerful slime, she guessed that it should be rather easy to spot, as stronger slimes seemed to grow larger the stronger, they were.

A good example of this would be the mountain slimes she had encountered when first stepping into the mountain range.
