Lucia was glad she had finished going through the files. She was settling down in front of the television when there was a knock on her door. She got up and went to it. It was a maid with a hotel-style trolley with covered dishes on top.
Lucia looked at the woman blankly.
"Good evening, Miss Handhoff," she said with a tiny and rather swift curtsey.
"Good evening," Lucia said as she stepped aside, "His Highness said he would be with you shortly and sent us to serve his meal with yours."
Lucia nodded as she watched the woman come in and go directly towards the dining room. She closed the door and followed her, watching her precise movements. She wondered if this meant that Michael was right behind her. She looked at her watch and wondered if this was when he "clocked out," so to speak.
