The Bandit Hunt (1)

"I told you, my Lord. Link does care about that girl" Lucias spoke. He was sitting on a sofa facing another man. It was the City Lord. "Then we can proceed with our plan" Lucias smiled, pouring him more tea.

"Good work" The Lord said.

Link was walking with Zasho by his side. In front of him was a giant empty field with an old house and a barn. A group of soldiers were walking around inside the recently built fence surrounding the house. "I'm back" Link whispered, looking at one of the house's windows. He could see Feo looking around, keeping an eye out for the place.

After their failure to take care of a single kid. Feo, Arlo and Lilia were severely punished by San. Fortunately for them, he needed every single one of his allies to complete his mission, which was why their group was spared after a small punishment.

"Their blood is on your hands" Feo kept thinking about what Link said. She knew that what Link did that day, killing the 2 soldiers, was something that she would have done if she ever was in his place. As Feo was looking outside, she noticed purple spots in the air, coming straight towards their camp. "What is that?" She thought. Before she could do anything, the flying objects hit their camp. To be more precise, it hit each and every soldier that was outside. They kept coming at a fast pace, like they were shot at the same time. "Arrows?!" She muttered. "We're under attack, get in formation" She yelled, but her voice slowly faded as she saw the scene in front of her.

Blood flew in the air, covering the ground like a carpet from hell. The soldiers couldn't react as each and every one of them fell without knowing what happened. Their fancy huge armors couldn't do anything to these arrows. It seemed like judgment day finally came.

Wosh!

A light blue transparent field rose, covering the house with a few of the soldiers that were lucky enough to be close by. The arrows hit the barrier but the moment they made contact, the arrows vanished. There were no sparks, no explosions of any sorts. The arrows just vanished like they never existed.

"Lilia!" Feo yelled, seeing a woman in a fancy dress standing on the balcony a few feet away from her. "Feo, move and find the source of the arrows" Lilia didn't look in her direction as she spoke.

"Is the Yanda City's guards attacking?" Feo asked as she jumped out the window, landing on the ground with a light thud. Her clothes and hair moved with the Mana particles that flew around her.

"No!" Lilia answered "Yanda's guards are nowhere near this level. These arrows share the same Mana. We're being attacked by a single person, and i think i know who it is"

"What? An attack of this scale is being done by a single person?" Feo frowned "Who?"

"I think it's that kid, Link!" Lilia's eyes started to glow as she focused more on her barrier.

Feo looked confused. The arrows that were flying towards them were constant and in great numbers. "How can a single person do all of this?" She thought, but as she focused her Mana, she noticed something. Between each arrow there was a small delay. If it wasn't for her great vision, Feo wouldn't have noticed. "How is he shooting arrows this fast?" She muttered. But dwelling on the subject for long wouldn't do her any good. Feo started to move, circulating Mana in her legs and jumping up, landing on top of the house. "Where are you" She thought.

San stood up. Hearing all the ruckus outside, he ran out of his room. On the first floor, a door led down by some old rotten set of stairs. Leading to the dimly lit basement. "Paul, where are you" San yelled "We're under attack" San finally got down. He ran into the small space between the stairs and a door. lights were seeping through the door cracks. Sounds of muffled screams could be heard from the other side.

Bam!

San opened the door with force, pushing it so hard it slammed into something behind it with an odd squishy noise. Sounds of cries could be heard.

"Hey, you sadistic fuck, didn't you hear the commotion outside? We're under attack" San yelled at the man standing in front of him. He looked middle aged with a short beard with a long robe on. He had a bloody knife in his hand while his face and clothes were covered in the red liquid. A woman was tied to a table, screaming her lungs out in pain. "Sorry my Lord. I didn't hear anything because of her" He said, pointing at the woman. San had an annoyed look on his face as he said "Hurry up and come help" He yelled before turning around to leave. That was when he noticed what the door hit when he pushed it open. At the corner, piles upon piles of body parts and organs were huddled together with swarms of flies and other odd looking insects and maggots all around. San shook his head and left. "Even i'm not this sick" he muttered to himself, shutting the door.

"Sweet Lena. You've made my Lord mad. If you just kept quiet while we had our fun he wouldn't have yelled at me like that" Paul looked at the woman as he spoke, a sick smile on his face. "P.. pleath, i donth want tho dhie" The woman attempted to speak as blood poured out of her mouth, she had no teeth while her tongue was cut into two parts, making it look serpentine.

"HA!" Paul laughed, holding his stomach. "You look so stupid, i couldn't even understand what you just said" He grabbed the woman's face, lifting her head up, than whispering something in her ear "You made that arrogant Lord yell at me. You fucking bitch" He said as he slammed her had as hard as he could on the table. Blood splattered. "Ugh" The woman tried to scream but she had no more strength to muster.

Slam!

Paul laughed at her as he lifted her head again and slammed it as hard as he could over and over again until the woman's horrid and painful expression slowly relaxed. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as the sounds of smashing kept echoing in the room. "Ok, now I should head upstairs before he comes to complain again" Paul said. He grabbed a rag that was hanging on a chair and started wiping his hands while walking up the stairs humming a melody.

"I found him!" Feo yelled from the roof as she pointed towards the woods. On top of one of the trees, Link sat on a branch with a bow. All he did was pull the string and an arrow quickly formed and settled.

Wosh!

Link released it and a small wind blew the leaves around him. He moved like the wind as he performed the same action over and over again with incredible speed. "She found me" He muttered to himself. "Alright Zasho, you ready?" He said, stopping his attacks.

Seeing the arrows were no longer coming, Lilia took a deep breath, but she did not deactivate the barrier. She could not risk it.

"Working hard I see" Paul walked to the balcony and stood next to Lilia. He looked her up and down.

"Fuck off" Lilia didn't even look at him as her face wore the look of disgust. She never liked this man and never will. They were on the same side but she couldn't accept what he does to women.

Paul belongs to one of the biggest noble houses in Kaibol City. even the lord shows him some respect. He enjoyed torturing people, especially women. He would take anyone that catches his eye and does god knows what to them before dismembering and disposing of their bodies.

Lilia knew he got his eyes on her too, but luckily she wasn't just a normal commoner like the girls he takes. Her family and powers made her an unreachable target for him, but he never seems to fail in making her feel uncomfortable.

"Feo, Arlo, Mike and Paul. You four split what is left of the soldiers between you and go get me his fucking head!" San went out to the balcony, standing next to Lilia as he yelled his commands.

"Yes sir" The four of them saluted and moved out.

Link was still sitting on the branch, watching and hearing everything that was happening there. "This body is a cheat" He said, laughing. He saw 4 groups leaving the barrier and heading in his direction, which was when Link moved. Blinking somewhere.
