Road to Level 10 (4)

"Get back in there" The boy said threateningly. He took a step towards Link.

"You must be an idiot or something, why would i?" Link smiled "Combat is not allowed inside the Academy, but if I enter the Arena it becomes allowable. So you can't do anything to me if i'm out here now can you?"

The boy frowned in anger, he looked at Link and spoke "Did you just call me an idiot? How dare a mere First Year speak to me in that way" He grabbed the handle of his sword.

"No no" Link playfully waved his finger in front of the boy while pointing at the floor. Link's feet were way over the Area Line. Both Link and the boy knew very well that the consequences of breaking the rules and attacking a Student in the Academy's premises will be severe.

"Hey, you really think you can stay inside the Academy at all times?" The boy asked. He really wanted to hurt Link now.

"Nope, how am i going to Hunt and do my Missions if i stay inside? Idiot" Link laughed in his face.

Link could see the veins on the boy's head bulging, about to pop from anger.

"He really doesn't like the word idiot does he" Link thought to himself "This is fun"

"You talk a lot Link, but you're just a coward." Rafael spoke, pointing at him.

"What?" Link laughed again "I'm hearing that from you? That's f*cking funny"

Rafael clenched his teeth, staring daggers at Link. His plan was to scare him, maybe have his second cousin to throw him around a bit, but things were not going as planned and he was making fun of both of them. Not only that but he can hear other kids laughing from time to time.

"Ok, I have a proposition" Link suddenly spoke "Now tell me, what idiot would go out of his way for strangers without getting anything in return?"

"What do you mean? Get to the point" The boy next to Rafael Spoke, his name was Kal.

"You really are an idiot aren't you" Link shook his head "I want something in return if you want to fight me buddy"

Kal squeezed his hand, he really wanted to break this First Year. When Rafael came up to him and told him about what happened, he agreed to help.

Rafael is from the main family. The Foik is a huge family with many households and branches. Kal was only a small member of a branch family. He got a lot of benefits from the Main Family due to his talents, and even managed to get into the Military Academy. And now that he can finally prove himself, he was being mocked and ridiculed by a First Year.

"I'm a Second Year, these kids should show me respect and fear. I swear when they move to the big boy table i'm gonna break them" Kal thought to himself, his head fuming.

"500 Points" Kal spoke through his teeth.

"Haha Deal" Link accepted happily.

"But if i win you give me 1 000 Points back" Said Kal.

"No problem. Deal" Link said immediately.

Link was fully aware that Kal is a Second Year. His uniform was a bit different than his, having two eye Emblems instead of one.

The reason Link was so confident in fighting was due to what he heard about him. Since Rafael approached him back then, Link asked around. He was confident but walking around blindly was idiotic.

Link and Kal walked inside the Arena, with Kal having a giant grin on his face.

"I'm going to humiliate this snot nosed bastard until I'm satisfied" Kal thought to himself.

He reached to his back, grabbing the sword handle. He held the sword with two hands.

"Alright, come at me" Link waved him over.

Wosh!

Kal ran forward, Air currents swirling around him, breaking the floor every time his foot touched it. His sword aimed behind him, ready.

He was so fast that even with the weight of the sword he was in front of Link in seconds.

"What?" Link was shocked "The information was false. Damn it"

Boom!

Kal swung his sword sideways, smacking Link sending him flying through the air.

Link swirled, stabbing the floor with his Dagger, creating a line until he stopped. Link stood up, his whole aura changed.

"Wait until I get my hands on that kid" Link muttered under his breath "Let's fight then"

He held his Dagger sideways, his hand in front of him while crouched down. The shape of a snake appeared behind him. His Purple eyes were focused, looking at Kal.

Kal smirked, his sword shone in a dim black light, smoke rose from it creating a menacing view "Demon Arts" Kal spoke "Void Aura" he muttered.

Ding!

In an instant, Link appeared in front of Kal, swinging his Dagger.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Like a snake, he twisted and swung his Dagger over and over again, each strike aimed at Kal's jugular, eyes and temple. While his other arm kept punching, going for his nose, ears, jaw and ribs. The moves were smooth and fluent, one after another.

Ding! Ding!

Kal wore armor underneath his uniform. He moved quickly, using his arm guard to block Link's punches while his sword moved through the smoke, appearing in front of his Dagger each and every time successfully.

Link was agitated. He spoke big thinking he had the upper hand, but he was lied to by a kid he spoke with. His name was Mike, one that approached him when he was asking around about Kal.

"He scammed me. I lost my Points for nothing" Link kept thinking, getting more and more pissed off.

Argh!

Link screamed, getting faster and faster. His Dagger developed cracks all over it, they were slowly spreading. It was the training Dagger he always used in this class.

Ding!

Kal stepped back, his eyes wide open. Link was too fast for him to follow, he could barely keep up. If not for the Void Aura he would have been struck multiple times already.

"You peasant, I'm going to kill you," Kal yelled "Demon Arts: Almighty Push"

Boom!

A powerful force started from Kal's chest pushing forward, breaking the ground and sending Link back. Shattering his Dagger.

"Haha, no weapon huh" Kal laughed. He ran towards Link, looking at his empty hands.

"Wind Wolf" Link muttered. A Fang like black Dagger appeared in his hand.

Ding! Ding!

Link continued with his barrage of attacks fueled with anger.

"Hey, No Beast Souls" Kal yelled at him as he defended.

"Since when was that a rule. F*cker" Link yelled back as a brown Armor appeared on him, covering his whole body with a Red scaly Glove.

"Air Boost" Link muttered.

Wosh!

He moved like the wind. Kal's Uniform started to have tears here and there, with his Armor the only reason for the absence of Blood.

"F*ck you" Kal yelled. He jumped away, trying to put some distance between him and Link.

Blergh!

Link Blinked, sending a punch straight to Kal's Ribs that sent him slamming to the ground multiple times, blood was left behind as he passed.

Students watched in shock. Kal was a Second year but Link was winning. The speed and skill he performed showed his real frightening side. Even Rafael took a step back.

For some reason. Link's anger didn't settle, growing more and more. He couldn't control or stop it for some reason. His vision was slowly turning black and white. He could see Kal on the floor, a line of dark energy coming out of him and flowing through the ground, coming closer to Link.

Boom!

Link jumped away at the last second as spikes of dark energy popped out of the ground, covering Link's spot.

"Sneaky F*cker" Link muttered. He Blinked, Kicking Kal as he was on the floor in the stomach with all his strength, sending him slamming into the wall outside of the Area with breathtaking speed. Rocks and dust covered the Hall.

Kal screamed, vomiting blood everywhere.

Link kept looking at him with hate, walking slowly towards him. His purple colored eyes were slowly becoming darker. Going from dark purple to complete black. His skin pulsated all over him, his muscles were slowly growing. His teeth grew in a speed visible to the naked eye, becoming sharper than a Beast's.

"Link?" Someone spoke with worry from the crowd.

Link heard it, stopping in his tracks "What was I about to do?" He thought.

Link could feel hatred and killing intent inside him, all aimed at Kal "Why do I hate him so much?" Link thought. He was confused.

Kal was on the floor, clenching his stomach. Surrounded by rubble and covered in dust.

<Link leave. Now>

Zero sounded scared, Link did not even look back at the crowd. He unsummoned his Beast Souls and walked out, heading towards his room.

"Zero, what is happening to me? I can barely control myself. I really want to kill someone" Link asked, clenching his chest.
