Link lost his connection with Gunther after that kick.

"He killed him with one kick?" Link looked at Gunther in shock. His side was caved in, ribs and bones were protruding. His head and back were smashed.

<Level 2 Mages are supposed to be able to survive something like that, what did that kid do?>

"Kal, go check on him" Lyrius ordered.

Lyrius was unsure of what happened to Gunther and made him act like that, the creepy white eyes gave him chills. Even when he can see the mangled body of Gunther's. He was still fearful.

"You want me to go?" Kal asked, still shaking. He never wanted to get anybody killed. At first all he wanted was to beat Link up maybe even cripple him if. But then Aguirre was injured to that degree by Lyrius and now Gunther has literally killed one of their friends and got killed in return. Everything was going terribly wrong.

"Who else is his f*cking name Kal?" Lyrius yelled. He had a bad feeling but could not put his hand on it.

"Ok, ok" Kal said, walking towards the unmoving body of his friend. Blood started to form a pool around him, swerving around the debris, making its way towards Kal.

This was not a scene anybody can look at without having a reaction. Kal, Gunther, Esprin and Aguirre were friends since their first year in the Academy. They got along from the start and helped each other. In their second year they met Lyrius. A talented and smart student from a powerful Noble family. He was arrogant and conceited but these were not strange characteristics of nobles.

They started to fear him when they went on their first Mission. It was for the gathering of a Plant called The Rubic Rose. They needed 10 but only managed to find 6 and the night was starting to creep up on them.

On their way back, they met another group of 4 students. They were heading back after their Mission so they walked and talked with each other, surprisingly they had the same mission as them but they actually did manage to collect 10 of the plant. The group did not care and felt a little envious, that was until they found out they were commoners.

Lyrius's attitude changed. A disgusted and disturbing look appeared on his face, he stopped in his racks and looked at the group.

"Lyruis, what's wrong?" One of the 4 spoke, he did not understand what was happening.

ARGH!

Without hesitation, Lyrius jumped with his sword in his hand. He moved around them like a viper, slitting each of their throats wide open.

"W...why?" One of them said as he held his neck, blood spilling from the gaps between his fingers.

"Why?" Lyrius laughed "Because dirty commoners like you should have never been admitted to the Academy. And you dare speak to Noblemen casually? Your kind should be kneeling to us" He lifted his sword and shopped the boys head clean off.

Kal, Aguirre, Gunther and Esprin looked on in fear. Since they learned that the group were a bunch of commoners. They were only going to rob and beat them up, but Lyrius took it to a whole new Level.

"Lyrius, what if the Academy finds out?" Gunther asked, his voice a bit shaky.

"The Academy? You have nothing to worry about. Death is a common thing in here, when the students leave they are no longer under the Academy's protection" Lyrius explained "Being killed by Beasts, students or whatever else is not a big deal, the Academy knows, but they choose to ignore it. I think it's their way of weeding out the trash."

After looting the corpses, they left them there for the Creatures to feed on.

Kal stepped over to Gunther, getting a better look at his disfigured friend.

Blergh!

He could not hold himself and vomited, his legs became weak and he started to panic.

"He's dead" He said and started to head back. As he turned Kal felt a light sting on his chest. He looked down and he froze.

"W..what?" He muttered. A sword, Gunther's sword was petrouding all the way through him.

"H..he's no..not dead?" His legs started to get weak, unable to stand anymore Kal fell to the ground, convulsing.

"Nah, he is dead. I just borrowed this" A voice spoke from behind Kal, a bloody sword in his hand.

"Link!" Lyrius frowned.

"Yo. I heard you were looking for me" Link said playfully. A smile on his face.

Link's plan was to kill them all without the need to show himself. But Gunther could not be used as a distraction for long and died quickly. So Link had to work with what he has.

"You sneaky bastard. This was all your doing wasn't it? You killed my friends" Lyrius spoke. If glares could kill then Link would have been turned into minced meat.

"Let's be real here, you killed your friends" Link said with a smile.

"F*ck you" Lyrius yelled as he rushed towards Link with his sword raised.

Link took a step forward, preparing to counter the attack, when a message suddenly appeared.

<Danger... Dodge>

"What?" Link thought to himself, but he listened and Blinked away.

Boom!

The spot Link was on and the Wall behind him blew up. It was like an invisible force smashed them to pieces.

"What the hell?" Link muttered. Looking at the place he was at.

<I knew it. Since he killed Gunther with one kick I knew something was wrong. I believe that's a type of a Psychic power>

"Psychic? Is here going to read my palm or some sh*t?" Link said, looking at the approaching Lyrius.

<This is not a time for jokes, Link. I'm not sure in what category this ability belongs but you can't let him hit you. Dodge>

Lyrius sent Fireballs towards Link, as he got close enough to attack.

Boom!

Like the previous time, the floor was smashed, turning into a small crater. Lyrius screamed. The shattered rocks hovered in the air, standing there for a bit before flying towards Link with breathtaking speed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With every rock landing somewhere, a shocking destruction occurred.

"How can a small rock destroy things like that?" Link said as he easily kept dodging.

<The rocks did not come to life and attack you. He wrapped them up with his psychic energy which reinforced them. If one of those rocks as much as touch you, you're dead>

"What the f*ck is up with this overpowered bullsh*it. Should I run?" Link asked.

<There is no need. With your evolved body and your 'Blink' Skill, he won't be able to touch you. Plus your Mana is over 2 000, you can last the whole day... But he can't>

"You want to tire him out?" Link asked, understanding the plan.

<Indeed. Now focus>

An hour went by as Link kept dodging all the attacks. Whenever Lyrius stopped for a second Link would attack, which forces Lyrius to continue his barrage.

Signs of exhaustion started to slowly appear on Lyrius's face.

"YOU COWARD. FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN" He screamed, breathing heavily.

"I'm no man bro. I'm 14 years old." Link laughed. Occasionally sending Wind Blades towards him.

Lyrius screamed in frustration. He turned around casting Air boost and other spells and started running. His speed was incredible.

"Is this bastard running?" Link frowned.

Link Blinked in front of him and raised his sword to attack. That's when Link's expression changed.

A grin appeared on Lyrius's face. Sending a power blast aimed at Link.

Blergh!

Link's body got smashed. His arms, legs, even chest and face were broken. Making him an unrecognizable mess.

"HAHAHA" Lyrius laughed "You fell for it"

"No, not really" A voice spoke from behind him. Making Lyrius's heart sink to his stomach.

ARGH!

Without hesitation, Lyrius's body was cut in half. Blood and guts went everywhere.

His vision started to slowly fade. As he fell near Link's corpse, looking at it in confusion. That's when he saw it vanish, turning into Mana particles.

"Seeing myself become like that is a little disturbing." Link said "But this Shadow Clone Skill is useful. I don't like the cooldown time though"
