A notification suddenly appeared, getting a reaction from the feathery cocoon. The giant wings opened, revealing Link as he still held onto Samuel's corpse.

"What was that?" Link muttered.

<Soul String Detected…>

<Track? Yes / No>

Link read the odd messages with a frown. He wiped the tears from his eyes and stood up, placing Samuel's corpse gently on the ground.

"Yes!"

A thin transparent thread was connected to Samuel's corpse, leading somewhere. Link started following it, curious as to where it led.

He followed it around the area, turning behind buildings and finally, into the dorm. The string led Link to Samuel's room. With a light kick, the door opened, and Link entered quickly, searching the space.

In the middle of the room, the thread ended. It was connected to a small oval shaped glowing orb of light. Link approached it slowly, taking careful steps.

<<L...Link?>>

A voice spoke from the orb. Link's eyes widened after recognizing who it came from.

"Samuel?" Link spoke, shocked.

<<Link! R...run!>>

Link couldn't believe what he was hearing. He walked to it and touched the orb, feeling a warm but friendly feeling.

<Soul Captured!>

Out of nowhere, the orb was absorbed by Link's hand, vanishing inside.

"What the hell happened?" Link frowned. "Zero, Ora. What the fuck was that?"

Link's question received no answer. He asked a couple more times, still getting no reply from neither Zero nor Ora.

"What's happening?" Link was confused. He turned to leave, but a sudden view caught him off guard. He summoned the last Dagger he had and took a fighting stance, but he quickly realized something, making him panic.

"That was a mirror!!" Link said, getting closer to it. "What happened to me?" Link muttered. He touched the wings on his back, his hair and teeth. He even accidentally scratched himself with his nails.

"I look like a monster!" He muttered. "Status!"

"What the fuck? Is this my True Form? Turn it Off" Link said, seeing himself slowly turning back to normal. His eyes got their purple color back, his wings slowly sunk back into him while his veins and teeth vanished like they were never there.

Link was shocked and disturbed by his True Form, but he didn't think about it for too long, as he could do nothing about it now. He looked at his Options, and saw a new tab was now available.

Inside was one spot which was taken by the same oval shaped orb Link saw a few seconds ago. He reached and tapped it.

<A Soul Orb: Belonging to a mortal peasant previously named Samuel. Contains decent amounts of Mana, very durable>

After its description, Link saw two greyed out options underneath it. He knew that they were unavailable at the moment, but after reading them, the second one gave him some hope.

"Does that mean I can do something to save Samuel?" Link thought. "Why can't I speak with Zero and Ora?"

"Hello?" Link spoke internally like he usually did whenever he wished to speak with the two.

<Yes?>

[Do you need something, master?]

"Why did they not answer me before?" Link thought. "Was it related to that Form? Should I keep it to myself for now?"

"Nevermind!" Link said. "What can you guys tell me about the new Tab?" He asked.

<New Tab?>

[I don't see anything new, master]

"Are you two serious? I'm talking about the tab I have open right now!"

<Did you finally lose your mind? You have the Options opened in front of you, you're not in any Tab>

"They can't see it!" Link thought. "If they can't see it, then I'll keep this to myself as well!"

"I think i'm tiered, nevermind"

With that, Link started walking around, looking at the corpses and buildings, trying his best to investigate.

He found the corpses of some professors, one of them was Tommy. His head was open with his brain missing. His arms and legs were crushed while his chest had a giant hole in it where his heart was supposed to be.

"Who attacked the Academy?" Link thought. He felt disturbed and worried at the same time. The Academy was like a Magic powerhouse. They had spells, barriers and runes all over the place. Even familiars and guards patrolled the area constantly. It was located in another Continent inside a giant mountain, but it was still somehow discovered and easily taken down. Link did not wish to meet the people that have done this.

"Things keep on happening. Will I be killed in a random raid like this?" Link thought. "Was this why they did not pick me up? I got really fucking lucky by leaving this place! Now how am I gonna to return to my Continent?"

Link was in the Second Continent. He had no idea where his original one was and how he could get there. He remembered how the Academy always brought their students, and headed towards the field. This place was where students are asked to gather whenever they will be sent back home.

In a giant circular area with grass and no trees. Link stood in the middle as he tried to remember where the Academy staff stood and what they did exactly to activate the runes.

Underneath all the grass, Link could see the runes drawn all over the place. He studied them and tried looking around, but he couldn't find anything.

<Try to power it with Mana. It might be slightly unreliable, but if it works once, that's all we need>

Link nodded. He made sure that he did not leave anything behind. He put Samuel's body in his Inventory and looked around the place for any loot. But unfortunately, the shops were empty, while the Academy itself had nothing left. Whatever attacked, just like the previous scenes Link keeps running into, took everything that was of some value.

"Alright!" Link spoke, putting his hands on the runic writing. He ran Mana through his body and slowly passed it through his arm to the ground. The runes shone aggressively, making Link worry slightly.

<Don't worry, it worked, but this might be the last time it does>

WOSH!

Link's vision blurred, his body felt like it was tossed into the raging sea. He couldn't fight against the current and just let it take its course. His senses were numbed and an odd taste appeared in his mouth.

"What the hell!" Link opened his eyes only to find himself face first into mud. His clothes were torn to pieces as he sat there naked. Pigs and cows circled him, starring with curiosity.

"Fuck off before i make a burger out of you!" Link yelled, clapping his hands with force, sending weak shock-waves towards the animals, scaring them away. He easily left the pit he was in and looked around, activating his Stealth Skills. He saw a lake not too far away and headed there. He was covered in mud after all, and the lake seemed like the best place to take care of that.

Splash!

The moment Link was close enough, he dived in, reappearing further ahead.

AAAHH!

Screams filled the area. Link looked around, and to his misfortune, he saw 3 girls swimming near him. They were naked as well, presumably bathing or just skinny dipping.

"PERVERT!" The youngest looking girl yelled. She had long blond hair with blue eyes. Her skin had a healthy red color to it, while the rest of her body was still in the water.

The second girl had a ponytail. She had black hair with brown eyes. Hey skin was silky smooth. She was trying to sink deeper into the water so Link wouldn't be able to see anything.

The third girl was the oldest. She looked like she was in her early 20s. Her hair was short while her face was one from dreams. Her eyes had an odd glow to them as she looked at Link with a frown.

Link quickly turned his head. He lifted his hands up and spoke. "I didn't know others were here. I fell in the mud and was only trying to clean myself.. Sorry!"

"And we're supposed to believe that?" One of the girls spoke, Link couldn't see who it was.

"You don't look familiar. You must have sneaked in here to peek. You're not the first pervert we encounter. GUARDS!" Another girl spoke.

"I understand how this can be misunderstood, please listen to me!" Link said.

"Shut up! You'll pay for this" The first girl spoke.

Link took a deep breath. He quickly grabbed another set of clothing from his Inventory and wore it. He jumped out of the lake and started to leave without looking back.

"Where do you think you're going!" One of the girls spoke. Link could sense a weak Fireball heading towards him. He quickly moved to the side, dodging it easily.

"Don't take this too far! I saw nothing and neither am I interested in seeing anything from you lot. This is a misunderstanding, but attack me again and I'll return the favor!" Link yelled back, still not turning around.

"Return the favor? I'd like to see you try!" The voice spoke again. The same girl jumped out of the lake and put on her clothes quickly before going after Link. The other 2 did the same and followed.

"Tris, maybe it really is a misunderstanding. Let's listen to him first!" A girl said.

"What? You can't be naive Rose. He's a pervert that's trying to get away" Tris said. She was the youngest girl in the group, while Rose was the girl with the ponytail.

Link listened to them and shook his head. The unstable teleportation was still messing with his senses slightly. He did not wish to attempt to fly but fall later a few seconds after. He also did not know which direction he needed to go, as the territory was unfamiliar to him.

In the distance, past the barn and animals, Link saw a giant castle. It looked like he was inside the castle's territory. He also saw some buildings and housing in the distance. The architecture of the place was different from the ones Link was used to.

"I hope I'm not too off trail!" He thought to himself.

Wosh!

Link felt someone grab his sleeve and pull him back. He looked over and saw Tris holding onto him with a grin.

"Got you. Perv!"
