Noble Judgement Day!

"Wake up!" Someone banged on what looked like prison bars. He wore the guard armor of Yanda City. Inside the dark prison cell, a girl got up from a rusty bed. She walked close to the guard with tears in her eyes. It was Yen. She looked pale, beaten and in a rough shape.

She did not understand what was happening. One morning as she got up to go to work, she found guards standing in front of her house, where they proceeded to arrest her. "What did i do?" She asked, looking at the head guard. People crowded around, trying to see what is happening.

The guard looked at her. His face was hidden underneath his helmet, but Yen could hear the annoyance in his voice. "We were ordered by the Lord to bring you in, please cooperate" He then proceeded to put what looked like black cuffs with small runes inscribed all over it on her hands.

"I can't feel my Mana anymore" Yen frowned, she was not trying to do anything but someone could always feel his or her Mana flowing through them, but now it felt like that connection was cut off.

The guards walked her to the City Lord castle in a carriage. She was led down a flight of stairs then put inside a cell.

"Didn't you say the Lord ordered for my capture? Why? Why am I being put inside a cell without any explanation?" Yen yelled from between the bars but the guards didn't even look at her as they proceeded to walk away.

Yen sat there for a while, when after what seemed like hours, she heard the echo of footsteps. She got off her bed and walked over, trying to see who it was.

"My lord!" Yen yelled out, seeing who it was. "Why am i here?" She asked.

The fat man didn't answer. He walked over in front of her cell and one of the guards put a chair there where the lord proceeded to sit. Yen looked confused, but when her head moved to see who was with him, her face dropped. "Lucias!" She muttered.

Yen didn't understand what was happening, but seeing Lucias confirmed that it wasn't anything good.

"Yen, what's your relationship with Link?" The city lord asked, looking at her with a cold face.

"Link?" She asked "We're friends" She answered, her face was completely serious. Seeing Lucias reminded her of the events that occurred with his son, and how this man proceeded to bribe and threaten people just so his son's story is believed without being properly investigated. She knew he must be behind whatever was happening right now. Yen was scared of what's to come.

"Friends?" The lord mumbled. "Link is under suspicion of working for the Bandit group that have taken residents in our territory. I should have known after someone like him appeared out of nowhere. His attempt in deceiving me and our beautiful city was easily seen by me. I brought you here since you were the one closest to him" He took a deep breath "How much did they offer you to work for them?" He asked.

Yen was frozen for a bit, she knew that Link's sudden appearance in their city was random but she knew that he was a nice person, but looking at the despicable man standing next to the lord, she knew that what happened to her is now happening to Link, but this time its on a whole different level. "What evidence do you have?" Yen asked "You claim all of this with only a hunch or what you called a suspicion, but we all have rights, you can't do as you please"

Bam!

An invisible force lifted Yen off her feet, pushing her back as she painfully slammed into the wall behind her. "Argh!" She sat on the ground squirming in pain.

"You dare speak to the lord with such a tone?" A guard yelled "Know your place. Link has been avoiding us and making excuses every time we speak of the quest concerning the Bandits. He then claimed he killed three Level 5 creatures by himself while only providing a rotten Ghoul corpse without a core. Later he proceeded to humiliate and ignore the guard that was sent by the lord to invite him, and you speak of rights?"

Yen indeed didn't know Link. He was a stranger that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. His accomplishments were great, too great for a small city like this. Most people with even the tiniest bit of power would rather go to bigger cities or even to kingdoms for more rewards and glory, but Link stayed here. "No!" She thought to herself "He was the only person that gave me a chance and actually listened to me, and he then helped and cleared my name. Even if he indeed was a traitor and a spy, I don't care. I'll always take his side"

"Speak!" Lucias yelled "Did you conspire with him against our lord and our city?"

"No!" Yen yelled back.

"Confess!" A guard proceeded to open and close the prison cell, joining her in that cramped space. "Confess by yourself or we'll make you confess"

"So be it true or not, you people are just looking for a reason to attack him aren't you?" Yen smiled, looking straight at Lucias "Fuck you!"

Link was walking back towards the City, Zasho wobbling next to him. He has his status screen open looking at how much more exp he needed to level up. "At this rate, for me to become a Level 4 Mage even if i kill everything and everyone that i see might not be enough" Link took a deep breath.

He finally reached the City. He walked in and frowned. "What's happening?" He thought. The moment he stepped foot inside the city, a squad of guards approached him, asking for him to follow them.

Link didn't understand what was happening, but he didn't care much and followed them. At other times he wouldn't have listened to the guards and insisted on knowing the reason, but since he took care of the Bandits, he thought why not go see why they asked for him and at the same time get his reward.

Five minutes later, Link was being led into the castle. "Why didn't they just say the city lord summoned me?" Link thought. He could feel that something was up, but was not worried in the least. "What can they do?" Link thought "If they try something or do anything i'll just kill the whole lot of them"

Link walked into the giant gate, in front of him was a huge hall where two flights of stairs led upstairs on each side. Between the stairs there was a hallway leading to what looked like a throne room. From where he was standing Link could see two lines of guards standing on each side, in the middle he saw the city lord smiling at him.

Link started walking in, while the guards that escorted him there followed him from a short distance. "They're following me in?" Link thought "Did this fat fuck order them to wait for me at the city gate?" Link frowned, starting to lose his temper.

"Link, it's getting harder and harder to see you these days" The lord spoke with a grin.

"What're you grinning for? Your teeth look fucked up" Link thought to himself. He really wanted to say this out loud but he still had some politeness in him. "I've been busy" Link smiled back, imitating the lord's creepy grin.

<Ha!>

Hearing Zero laugh, Link couldn't help but giggle slightly himself.

"What's funny?" The lord asked, confused.

"Nothing, I just remembered something. Sorry" Link said, bowing his head slightly.

"No worries.." The lord spoke, looking him in the eyes. "So, did you complete the quest I gave you or you have another excuse?"

Link's playful face changed completely. The tone and the way the lord said that last part, Link couldn't help but get irritated a little. "What's up with this guy and his tone?" Link thought. "Yes, I took care of it" Link said, his face showing slight irritation. Now that he looked at his surroundings, Link noticed that the place was filled with guards, which was something abnormal as he did not see this many guards around when he first went to the castle.

After hearing Link's words, the city lord's face changed. It seemed like he was waiting for Link to drop another excuse, but him saying that he completed it made him frown. "He did?" The lord thought to himself "Is he lying again?" And with that thought, The lord got angry. He looked at Link and yelled "How long do you think you can keep this charade going?"

"What?" Link's upper lip was raised, as the muscles on his face took on a form. It was a combination of annoyance and anger. "The fuck is wrong with you?" Link asked, looking at the man. He could see veins bulging from his head. "This fat guy is going to pop or something?" Link thought.

"Your trickery and deceit will not be tolerated anymore. You've been had and a confession has been made against you" The lord said, pointing towards Link.

"Now he's playing detective Conan?" Link thought.

"Bring her in!" The lord yelled, and a second later two guards walked in with someone in between them. They had her cuffed with each guard holding an arm.

"The fuck is this?" Link muttered, seeing Yen. He looked at her, especially the wounds all over her body. "You retarded fat fuck, what did you do?" Link yelled, Mana started circulating all over his body.

"She made a confession, and the jig is up. You conspired against me and Yanda City. You and your conspirators shall be properly judged" The lord yelled "Go on Yen, speak"

"I h..had to" She said weekly "They didn't stop until they heard what they wanted to hear. I couldn't take it, i'm sorry Link" She looked at Link with tears.

"Old man, explain yourself or there's going to be some major consequences" Link muttered, still looking at Yen, his head not moving.

"Stop with your bluff" A voice spoke from the door Yen just came through. "You've been caught, and you dared to still lie again about the Bandits? You're courting death. Your sentence has already been decided. You shall be imprisoned for 5 years, with minimal food and water, then publicly executed for all to see" The man that spoke was Lucias. He walked in with even more guards.

Link's brain cogwheels started to spin, and he finally understood what was happening. His demeanor changed. The anger that was plain to see disappeared from his face, and his expression became cold. "Old man, you said that you went with a group of guards to attack the Bandits camp right? And a few of you survived" Link asked, his voice lacking any emotion.

"Ha!" Lucias laughed. "See! His whole attitude changed, I told you my lord!"

"Ha!" The lord started laughing as well, he looked at Link and said "Yes, that is true. If you think you're threatening me, then you're unsuccessful. Fighting outside and fighting inside our city is different. Even if the whole lot attacks they'll only end up dead. The city is filled with traps and security runes."

Link seems to ignore everything Lucias said, and only hear the lord's confirmation. "Then you remember the Bandits faces?" Link asked.

The lord looked at him and said "Of course i do. They slaughtered my men and I barely got out of there alive with what was left of my soldiers. What's your point? Is this you buying time?"

"My lord, you don't have to listen to his ramblings" Lucias yelled "Capture Him!"

The guards unsheathed their weapons. They started to walk forward, with their swords, spears and bows all aimed towards Link. When some guards started to get closer though, they felt like their bodies froze, unable to move. "What?" One of the guards thought.

"Then here you go" Link ignored Lucias again, which seemed to anger him further, but the next second, everyone took a step back.

Link reached into thin air and pulled something out and threw it in front of the lord. The moment everyone saw what it was, they frowned. It was Arlo's head. Link looted the area, taking all the gold, armor, weapons, and even every furniture that looked like it was worth something. Of course, he collected the bodies as well. He wanted to feed each one of them to Zasho later.

The head sat there on the ground, its eyes wide open as it stared straight at the lord. "What is this?" He said, but the next second he recognized the face. "Isn't th..is" The lord stuttered.

Link then moved once more, reaching into thin air and throwing something else. It was another head. This time it was Paul's head. The lord took a step back as he recognized this one as well.

Then something else was thrown. It was Lilia's head. Then Feo's. Then all the Bandit soldiers bodies filled the hall.

Everyone was backing up at this point. Link kept throwing head after head and body and body. Blood splattered the dirtied beautifully crafted marble floors and carpets. Some blood even hit the walls and got onto some guards.

"Th..ese are..." The lord stuttered again. "You really killed them.."

Link was no longer saying anything. He just activated his Quick Equip skill. An intimidating black and yellow armor appeared all over his body, with a dagger in his hand.

"What're you doing?" The lord said, his face pale "Listen, it was a misunderstanding. If you dare do anything to me you'll face severe consequences"

"I'm leaving this shithole anyways" Link said, before vanishing.

What he did was not teleportation. He activated his Air Boost and Bee's Swiftness skills which increased his speed to one that no normal person could follow with their eyes.

ARGH!

It was like an exaggerated bloody scene from a movie. Link did not spare anybody. He moved like a blur as he kept swinging his dagger in breathtaking speed.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

The guards tried to fight back but they didn't stand a chance. Link massacred the whole lot of them.

<Human Killed>

<Human Killed>

<Human Killed>

Messages kept appearing in Link's vision, but he ordered Zero to turn them off.

There was no dramatic scene where he leaves the Lord or Lucias last and have a final exchange.

Link did not care.

"I am the Lord of th…."

Slash!

"You dare kill me? I'm a noble of the kingd…"

Slash!

Yen was watching what was happening in horror. Her feet gave in as she fell to the floor, still looking forward, unable to keep up with her eyes.

"Link?" She muttered. The next thing she felt was a smack to the back of her head, knocking her unconscious.

"Sorry Yen" Link muttered. Looking back.

Death!

That was the only thing that could describe such a scene.

"Holy Light" Link muttered, healing and freeing Yen from her cuffs. He then lifted her and they both vanished. He took her back to her room back home. Laying her down on her bed as he left a pouch on the desk.

"Now i need to take care of the other vermin" Link muttered, putting on his Dark abyss mage's mask.

That day was one that people never forgot. It was named by all as the 'Noble Judgment Day' where all nobles were killed with all their guards in their homes. With only a few nobles being left alive.

The reason that day was called a judgment day, was due to the nobles that died. They were rumored to be the worst and most despicable people. They used and did what they pleased when they pleased.

Opposite to what one might think. The commoners were happy instead of being horrified. As that day, all the people that were wronged and forced to go through hell because of the nobles were avenged.

"Ok, I think it's time" Link said. He stood in a clearing inside the forest. In his hand was an emblem.

Clank!

Link broke it. A light shone from it then faded. A few seconds later a man appeared in the air.

"You collected all the coins required?" The man asked.

Link couldn't recognize him. He wore the Academy's staff uniform but Link had never seen him anywhere in the Academy before.

"Yes" Link answered. Bringing out a large pouch handing it to the man.

"Congratulations" The man responded after checking it. He muttered some words, then a set of runes flew towards Link, sinking into his body, making him glow.

"By the gods" Link thought to himself "If i keep glowing like this every time i do something, i'm gonna turn into a light bulb"

Wosh!

Link's vision got blurry, as if he was looking out of a moving car. His eyes started to burn, so he closed them for a bit, but the next thing he knew after opening them, he was standing inside the Student dorms.

"I'm back!" Link smiled.
