Monster Core!

In an average sized room, there were 3 small beds with a night stand for each made of wood, a small wooden desk with a chair in front of it.

On the bed to the left, a boy covered in bandages was sleeping, his right arm covered in bandages all the way to his shoulder.

"Mhm!" The boy made a sound, slowly opening his eyes.

"Where am i?" The boy spoke, the bandages on his face made it hard to recognize who he was.

"Did i get another reset?" he spoke weakly, barely able to let the words out. It was Link, he lifted his head, looking around.

"This is my room, I'm back home" he said, slowly sitting up and walking towards the door.

He lifted his right arm to open it, suddenly stopping..

"My right arm, it's back" Link was excited, he was right handed and losing that arm would have made his life harder than it already is.

"How long is he going to stay like that? He's really fine right?" a female's voice spoke on the other side of the door, he recognized the voice, it was his mother, Anny.

Link slowly got closer to the door, reaching to open it.

"Calm down, he's fine. He used his mana beyond its limits, it had some side effects but I took care of everything" a female voice, unfamiliar to Link, spoke.

He stopped himself and listened.

"Are you sure? What if you missed something?" A man asked, obvious signs of concern in his voice.

"Dad?" Link knew well who that voice belonged to, a huge smile appearing on his face "So he made it, Thank god" he thought.

"Master Saya already told you he's fine. She's a renowned healer, people pay fortunes just to see her, but you ignorant dirty commoners dare to question her skills?." A man spoke, his voice full of scorn and disgust "Master, i know you think the kid is talented but i don't think he's worth going this far for him, he's just a commoner, you shouldn't bother with these people."

Link's cheery and excited mood was gone, His eyes becoming dead, losing the light they just had.

"Watch your mouth, we are guests here, if you don't like it you're more than welcome to leave." Saya spoke, Link heard anger in her voice.

"But…." the man stuttered, stopping himself "Yes, I apologize" Even with the apology, the hint of disgust was still obvious.

Link was annoyed, he didn't know who these people were but he understood that the respectful woman helped heal him, while the man was probably her apprentice.

After going through all of that, Link was worried about his condition, especially after hearing Side effects.

He quickly opened his status screen, looking it over.

"What the hell?" Link was surprised "I leveled up four times... Was it the Female Hell Bear's kill?" He thought to himself "No, maybe after they killed the Male Hell Bear I got some of the XP as well."

Link closed his status screen, opening his Inventory.

In Inventory, a Small round object the size of a tennis ball was in it, bright blue in color.

"What is this?" Link thought, pressing on it.

'A Female Hell Bears mana core : it contains all the monster's mana and skills. Consumable.'

That was not appraisal, but a cheap imitation of it. Link discovered that the inventory gives the basic information of an item, not as detailed as the Appraisal Skill but still useful.

"What the hell? It's the monster's mana and skills?" Link nearly yelled, barely containing his thoughts.

Under the Inventory's explanation, a button was present, written in Green.

'Use'

Without a second thought. Link pressed the use button.

A wave of pure pleasure washed over him. He couldn't help but close his eyes and enjoy it.

Suddenly, Countless messages appeared in front of Link, waking him.

"What the hell was that mana?" Saya spoke on the other side of the door, the sound of a chair being pushed and footsteps heading to the room.

Link was in a trance, unable to shake the surprise. Upon hearing the footsteps getting closer, he awoke, heading back to his bed.

The door was opened, The same woman with godly beauty walked in, with the worried Rao and Anny.

Behind them was a man, in his early twenties, keeping his distance from the two commoners while trying to catch up with his master, Saya.

"You're awake" Saya said "You sure took your time" She stood there with her hands on her hips.

Rao and Anny passed by her and ran towards Link, Hugging him.

"You ok?" Anny said "Do you feel alright?"

"Is there any pain anywhere?" said Rao.

Link was touched, He really saw these two as his parents and loved them as such.

"Yeah I'm ok" he said, reassuring them.

"My god" The man in the back sighed, clear annoyance on his face.

Link looked at him, His cold expression returning.

That lasted only a second.

Saya was standing not too far from the man, catching Link's eye.

His heart jumped, his ears turning red with a strange feeling in his chest.

"Oh No" Link thought "Did i just fall in love?"

Link was stunned by her beauty, her aura and her noble demeanor.

"An angel" He couldn't help but think.

If you keep staring at me like that i might blush" Saya joked, noticing Link's familiar stare.

"Another one huh" She thought "I should start wearing a mask"

"How rude" The man said, "Look away, don't you have any manners?"

Link looked at him. "You're one to talk".

"What did you just say?" the man took a step forward.

"You heard me, fucker" Said Link, his anger allowed some of his mana to seep through.

After 'Consuming' the beast's core, Link's mana have reached 2 438 Points.

Thinking he would let out a small drop of killing intent, turned into a wave.

Suffocating everyone in the room, except Saya.

She looked at Link with interest.
