For The Kingdom!

WOSH!

In a forested area where giant trees stood proudly, figures were zigzagging, making their way around with another person flying in the air.

This was Link and his team. They rode their mounts skillfully while heading towards their destination. Their speed was decent as anyone with an untrained eye wouldn't even notice them passing by, but Link was having a hard time trying to hold back. Being a Master Mage or a Star Mage, he could easily leave them in the dust if he wanted to, but that is not what a good captain should do.

The creatures that appeared in their way hid or ran, sensing Link's oppressive aura. With no obstacles or annoyance, Link was hoping to lessen the distance as much as he could.

'I can't take this!' Link thought to himself. He calculated the distance and time it would take for them to reach their target with their current speed, and he did not like the result one bit.

'Should I just tie them up together and carry them?' Link, surprisingly, considered this option seriously before shaking his head.

Daylight passed as the moon stared at the moving figures. Link prevented them from camping, seeking to cover as much ground as they could before resting. Although heartless, the team was not bothered even a little. Even though they were not Master Mages, they were still peak Level Mages, and keeping up with Link's paste was slightly challenging but not impossible.

The mounts were creatures that fed on Mana, which might explain why they looked fine while their masters started showing some signs of exhaustion. Pumping Mana whenever the mount's reserve is drained was finally taking its toll on them after skipping a night without rest.

The moon peeked once more, but this time, the previous figures were now camping in a small clearing. They had Mana Tents set up with a campfire and food here and there. Link entered his tent and did not leave to join the team. He felt a little uncomfortable around them seeing that he barely had any social interactions ever since he started his journey.

What Link was more focused on was Ora and Dungeons. He never ceased scanning the area for a worthy Dungeon while hoping to detect a fragment of consciousness in the process.

It was not like he never conversed with the team, as he learned their usual strategic battle formation and fighting style from each. Link was no strategist or a leader, so he listened and decided to go with their usual formation. It being a good one was not the reason why he stood with it, but he thought that if he were to change it and come up with a new one, no matter how good it was, they would still be unfamiliar with it without experience and practice.

'Marzia in the middle, surrounded by Noah and Ariel behind her and Jhuler in front of her, while Helga and Ganthor hold aggro while helping each other, splitting it for each one to get some time to breathe' Link thought of their formation and nodded his head. 'Marzia is the healer, so her being too far in the back might create some issues with her healing spells not reaching her teammates on time. Noah and Ariel are ranged damage dealers, which must always stay out of harm's way while at the same time covering Marzia's back and assisting whenever they're needed. Jhuler is mostly a guard, but his size and strength does the job of two warriors. Helga and Ganthor are Tanks, mostly Helga, while Ganthor is a damage dealer/Tank. His job is to buy enough time for Helga to heal before jumping back in... This is well done, i like this' Link took a deep breath as he stared at the moon while thinking.

(5 Days Later...)

"The Captain now hates us, it's all your fault Ganthor!" Ariel said, sneaking looks at Link who laid on a tree branch.

"I already apologized, what more do you want me to do!" Ganthor retorted.

"Ariel, it's not Ganthor's fault" Noah said. "Some Master Mages are naturally Introverted. Plus I don't think the Captain is much of a talker in the first place"

"I think so too" Helga said.

"Yes!" Jhuler quickly added.

"What a waste of good looks!" Ariel commented as she stared at Link's handsome face and smooth pale skin. She shook her head before focusing again on her food.

This was the norm as Link sat there every night either thinking or browsing the Shop. He wished to find his next target Skill after he bought Lightspeed Cerebrum. This was his ritual trying to keep himself busy and motivated with a goal.

The days went by quickly as Link started holding practice fights now and then, trying to learn their synergy and from their perfect cooperation.

This went on until one in the evening, they reached their mark.

A large camp sat near a mountain. It had dark eerie tents and demonic and deformed figures that moved around triggering disgust and killing intent from the squad. The scene of the bombing flashed in front of their eyes as they remembered all the innocent souls and the aftermath of the attack.

Their Kingdom… No their Home was defiled and the faces and places they were familiar with were either killed, injured or destroyed. Seeing the people responsible for what happened triggered a feeling they were very familiar with..

REVENGE.

"Let's f*cking show them we're not to be messed with!" Ariel gritted her teeth. Even though Rechanguard was not the place she was born in, it was the place that accepted her and offered her a place to stay and feel safe.. It offered her a home.

"Naoh, Ariel, prepare your strongest offensive spells and wait for my signal!" Link ordered. He was not planning on participating unless it was an emergency and he was needed. "Ganthor, sneak towards the biggest tent and set up Mana Bombs behind it and keep doing so as you move until you are noticed" Link continued. "Noah, Ariel, the moment Ganthor is out of the explosion range, you aim at one of the Bombs and meet up with Ganthor with the rest and prepare for battle!"

"Sir Yes Sir!" The team echoed together, understanding exactly what Link had in mind.

"Alright, let's get started!"
