CHAPTER 91

" Let's find a hidden place then, " Junshi said

" Whatever you say " Jia replied

They soon found a cave but it was extremely dark inside

Junshi muttered a spell and lit a fire that illuminated the cave. The cave was inhabited by bats that flocked out immediately after the place received illumination

The cave looked normal and did not have anything special

" So why did you bring me here? " Jia asked stifling a yawn

" That's why " Junshi replied touching the walls of the cave

It appeared oddly soft and squishy

The ground too was soft and warm

Junshi yawned and drifted off to sleep. Jia slept next to him using him as her pillow

The next day, the fire had already died out, which was odd

The cave was bright as day

The intensity of the light woke them up

They got up albeit very slowly.

" Let's get out of here. This place doesn't look safe. " Junshi said pulling Jia out of the cave

To their surprise, the cave closed up almost immediately

Jia stared at the scene with mixed emotions. She took her eyes off it after a few minutes

" We're going to start training. " Junshi said taking the sun katana

The moon katana had a cold eerie feeling to it. Jia was instantly attracted to it. The katana was a long sharp curved blade. A katana was extremely sharp and was wielded with two hands. Jia practiced the first move (Half moon strike) several times

Junshi was staring at the katana with hesitation

A half-moon strike flew in Junshi's direction. It didn't cause much damage but it scarred him

Junshi stared at her for a couple of minutes. A wry smile formed on his face

" Why's there no blood," Jia said with a fake disappointed look

" Oh well, I don't know " Junshi replied drawing a katana with a sly grin

"What are you up to?" Jia asked looking around

A Vertical strike hit Jia unexpectedly

Junshi flung his katana in the air and it ended up hitting him in the head

Jia had a sneer on her face. Blood dripped from a large mark on Jia's hand

" You don't want me to kill you, do you? " Jia said fiddling with a katana

" Ah, I remember that was supposed to be used with two ~ What the hell?! " Junshi trailed off

Jia stared in his direction with wide eyes

A literal army of golem-like beings appeared. They weren't exactly tall or gigantic but they were massive in size. Each step they took caused destruction

They both tried to escape but the force the golem-like beings exerted prevented them from leaving

The golem-like beings were getting closer and closer to them. They both knew that they were going to get crushed to death sooner or later

Junshi was muttering some spells. He levitated in the air and his hair moved as a destructive-looking wind started to surround him. At this point, he was akin to a mage

He sent the attack in the direction of the golems and it scattered some of them but they soon reconstructed their bodies

Jia only knew the half-moon strike and her second hand was injured

Holding the katana in one hand was quite difficult as it was a bit heavy

Channeling all the power she could, she executed the half-moon strike that decimated some golems completely

Junshi drew his katana with a devilish smile

" Let's try something," Junshi said with a knowing look

Jia understood what he meant and they executed the half-moon strike simultaneously. A tornado started to form in the shape of a half-moon. It blew up the golems causing pebbles to fly around. The tornado was extremely destructive. It cleared everything in a 15km radius

" This place is not safe...But I like it anyway " Junshi said with a sigh

" I know right? The thrill is so exhilarating " Jia replied knowingly

Jia sighed deeply

" What's wrong? " Junshi asked

" It's just that...Life without the system is .. " Jia trailed off

" Listen, just forget about it. Imagine it never existed. I know how you feel. Having everything easy and then it just disappears in a finger snap. You just have to forget all about it " Junshi said with a charismatic voice

" It's just frustrating," Jia said with a sigh

" I can help you with that. I'll just wipe your memories. But of course, it's only if you want that.I won't force it " Junshi said with an innocent smile

" You'd do that? and then leave me all alone? I may be gullible but not to that extent " Jia said with indignation

" You know I'd never do that, " Junshi said moving close to her

" You mean a lot to me, " Junshi said giving Jia a light kiss

" Fine. Do it. Only erase the parts where I had the system or where I ever met Xue. Or do you want me to forget about you? " Jia teased

" Of course not! " Junshi replied

" I'm going to put you in absolute zero " Junshi explained

" And what's that? " Jia asked

" A vacuum where the mind goes blank and the body is an animated state. " Junshi stated

" Whatever. Make it quick " Jia said closing her eyes

Junshi started chanting a few spells

A vacuum surrounded Jia. In the vacuum, the atmospheric pressure was drastically reduced. There was no air in the vacuum and this caused Jia's heart rate to slow down. Due to the extremely low pressure, Jia's brainwaves slowed down as well

All of her memories were open to Junshi

He had mixed feelings as he looked through them. With slight indignation, he wiped all the memories that contained the system in it.

Then slowly, the vacuum dissipated leaving Jia's seemingly lifeless body on the ground

He also chanted another spell and she woke up

She started mumbling incoherent words then she stopped

She stared into Junshi's eyes for a few minutes

" What's a system? " Junshi asked

" Sy.System? what's that? " Jia asked in confusion

" Looks like I did a good job," Junshi said proudly

" I guess you did. " Jia replied with a smirk
