CHAPTER 90: RETURN
They reappeared in a strange rocky world with high spiritual energy
" We're technically in the middle of nowhere but at least it's safe. Well for now" Chaos King explained putting Junshi's body on the ground
His soul was still passed out
Some powerful, commanding runes appeared. Chaos king controlled the runes and the runes pushed Junshi's soul into his body with a thud
Junshi's body shook violently for a few minutes
His body awakened but Junshi wasn't himself at that point. His hollow eyes stared into the distance and carried a hint of pain. They seemed lifeless and Junshi was as pale as a ghost. He stood there frozen on the spot.
" Yep. He's still a martial honor and he'd wake up soon " Chaos King explained vanishing out of sight
" Tha Thank you " Jia stuttered
Spiritual energy formed a vortex around Junshi's body causing his once pale skin to regain color. His lifeless eyes regained the life in it. The deathly aura around him dissipated
" Cherry? " Jia said touching his face
" Pumpkin. I thought we were in the middle of that place" Junshi murmured
" You well died and I was kicked out of there because they thought I killed you. And you're now a martial honor " Jia explained
" Oh, I always wanted to leave there anyway. How was I revived " Junshi asked with a pained smile
" Your dear Chaos king appeared. Luckily, you still got the material from the bee" Jia replied
" Oh right. I hope that works " Junshi said
Junshi nodded and put the honey in his mouth and started to cultivate
He cultivated for an unknown amount of time. A slightly loud POP! sound was heard
Junshi continued to cultivate notwithstanding. He continued until the honey was completely exhausted
" You're back where you were? "Jia asked
Junshi nodded
" Let's go cause some provocation. Or more appropriately, Chaos " Junshi said with a sly smile
" Really? Do you see any sign of life here " Jia asked with a smirk
" Of course, there should be. We'll at least find one " Junshi said with a shrug
" That aside " Junshi murmured facing Jia
He held her face and wanted to kiss her but Jia turned away
" What's wrong, " Junshi asked with a hurt look
" You are a little ghost," Jia said with a smile
" Whatever you call me, I'm fine with it, " Junshi said with a whisper and pulled her closer
He stared at Jia with a soft smile
" Fine. If that's what you want " Jia said locking lips with him
They kissed and sparks flew
" I love you " Junshi whispered hugging her tightly
" Me too " Jia admitted
Her words struck a nerve in Junshi's mind
"Let's go cause trouble. I know you love it" Junshi said with a wink
They moved around but found no sign of life
" See. There's no sign of life " Jia whined
Junshi motioned for her to be calm. A storm was brewing in his eyes
" Stand back," Junshi said
He immediately blended into the atmosphere
A large number of living beings appeared soon. They looked like humans but they had furry wolf-like ears on top of their heads and thick hair
The ears were in different colors
One of them which looked slightly older stood in front of them all. He appeared to be their leader. He addressed them in an unknown language.
Junshi smiled as he was above all of them
A commotion broke out among the wolf beings
They all shape-shifted into their true wolf nature. Pieces of bloody skin flew about like a torrential rain
Blood was splattered on the already red ground. Some of them used their abilities on themselves
Junshi absorbed the energies with a psychopathic grin
Shortly after, all the wolves were dead. Their bodies were in several pieces
Jia watched the scene with an equally sadistic smile
" Do you care for blood? " Junshi asked extracting their energy centers
" I'm no longer a vampire or anything anymore. I only have my cultivation level and the katanas and that's all. " Jia explained with a deep sigh
" What happened? " Junshi asked
" Xue happened. All the skills, and bloodlines I had were never mine anyway. It was hers " Jia replied
" It's fine. Do you mind forging a new path for yourself " Junshi asked
" How do you mean? " Jia asked with keen interest
" All I'm saying is, Xue is gone. You don't need her or a system or anything of that sort. " Junshi explained
" And how do I get stronger without anything " Jia countered
Junshi sighed.
He whispered a few words and chaos king appeared
" My my, what a nice ceremony you have here, " Chaos King said staring at the dismembered wolves' bodies
" It's funny you're still around " Junshi taunted
" I know right. I'm just trying to get a few things done . So, why did you call me ". Chaos king ranted
" I need a cultivation technique.For a katana " Junshi said
" You're interested in katanas? That's extremely strange you know " Chaos King said with excitement
" Of course not. I never liked Katanas and don't think I will. It's for her " Junshi said with a snicker
" Why does she need one? " Chaos King asked scanning Jia's body
" She she seems to be empty? how did this happen? " Chaos King said in surprise
" No time for talk. Do you have one? " Junshi questioned
" Of course. " Chaos King replied moving towards Jia
" Wait, It has to be the best one " Junshi half threatened
Chaos King dumped a heavy book on the ground. The size of the book shook the ground a little bit
Jia stared at it in horror
" If you finish it, you'll become the strongest person ever. Of course, I am not done with it but. Whatever. " Chaos King said disappearing
" How, am I supposed to finish this? " Jia asked staring at the book
" It's fine. You can't finish this in a day. I promise to train with you. How about that? " Junshi asked with a charming smile
" Really? I thought you didn't like katanas " Jia said in a low voice
" It doesn't matter. Anything for you " Junshi reassured
