A Second Chance

Athrun Greenway is a 17-year-old teenager suffering from stage IV cancer with no hope of recovering lying in bed watching over the window where the trees shed their leaves during the autumn season knowing that his life is going to end soon.

He was staring over the tree with a carefree smile on his face. Athrun was an heir to a billion-dollar company with branches all over the world, But he never had his life easy losing his parents at a very young age due to a power struggle in the family, He was the sole heir to a billion-dollars worth of assets left all alone in the world of greed and hunger. His only light in the devouring world was his grandpa.

But even he left him alone when he was 15 years old in this world. But he didn't leave him alone, He incorporated all the knowledge he know about the world to Athrun so he could survive on his own feet when he was gone.

Over the days, Athrun started to notice that something was wrong with his body and when he diagnosed his body the results gave him a shocking revelation that he was suffering from IV-stage cancer and he was counting his days.

During his hospital days, his only companion was his movie Avengers was deeply indulged by the story narrative and imagined himself to be a part of it hoping one day he could live a life that he could enjoy to the fullest without worrying about the amount of responsibility was shouldered to him by his parents and the society.

"I think it is time to meet my parents" Hoping for a better next life by closing his eye and leaving the world with one final breath causing his soul to the realm void where nothing exists.

In the realm of nothingness, a world of pitch black where the concept of time and space matters none. In the world of nothingness, a primordial being who governs every existing concept opens his eyes to the world of darkness the only light produced by his luminous eyes noticing a wandering his soul in his realm which causes the fluctuation in his realm, intrigued by the abnormality he takes an interest on the wandering soul decides to confront him.

Athrun P.O.V :

"I finally died" was the first thought that came to me when I find myself in the world of pitch black.

"I could have led a better life, anyway no use in thinking anymore about my past or was my past. Let me think about what should I do from now on, wait I can do nothing so I just stare at the pitch black and wait for someone maybe " I was thinking to myself as I was not able to voice out my thoughts for whatever reasons.

I was thinking about what to do next when I noticed that someone was watching over me but I was not able to see anything practically as the world was pitched back and not having the ability to move.

"You intrigued me young one !" a heavy profound voice that I was hearing made me realize that I am not alone.

"Who is that ?" I asked the being who I was not able to see in the hope of getting an answer back.

"Hm... I go by names but to you humans I am what you called God I presume" the voice replied with a smirk that I promise I heard.

"So what do you want ?" I asked the being a.k.a God a question which had been bugging me since I heard him. "What do I want? ha ha ha, Since my creation no asked me that question. you intrigue me young one, I should be the one asking you that since you roam around my realm"

hearing his answer made me realize that he is correct since I was the one who came here uninvited wait no I came here after my death where I end up is not in my control since I shouldn't feel guilty ." You are right God but where are you? since I am not able to see you here "expressing my concerns about not able to see here where I am pretty excited to see. It's not like every day you can meet the god.

"Oh! How clumsy of me, I was just excited to meet Soul after a long time ha ha ha " I was pretty dumbfounded by the response from the god where all my expectations of him shattered in a moment.

I felt the world around me changing when I heard the sound of a snap into a beautiful garden near a lake and I was able to find myself moving around where I notice someone looking over me. He looked like an old man with long white air looming over his back bright golden eyes wearing a white tunic watching me with a kind smile.

I find myself moving toward him and I noticed something that shook my heart, He looked like my late Grandpa which was quite shocking to me "Grandpa "I murmured unconsciously and found my face was a little wet as tears were leaking out of my eyes.

God who looked like my grandpa showed a saddened smile where he took the shape of the person he was most comfortable my looking at his memory, he found that the person no the child in front of him had everything in the world but nothing saddened him that a young soul who cultivated long positive karma in his previous life still ended with an unworthy ending in from of betrayal or abuse but kept a positive life he kept holding on.

Which is quite an injustice to even him the almighty being .so he decided to give this young man a chance, A chance where he can enjoy his life to the fullest and maybe even something more.

"Don't be saddened child, I just took a form who you find the most comfortable with based on your memories " He expressed his answers with a kind smile as he was answering my question.

I was quite dumbfounded by his reading my memory and it made me wonder about his sudden change of attitude from an almighty being who looks down on everything to a king old grandfather answering his grandson.

"You lead quite a sad life young one, So tell me young one what do you do next ?" I was quite shocked by his question and I don't know what to reply, no one in my life asked me what I want to do. I was doing to do what I had been told.

"I don't know !" was the only answer I had to his question.

"Let me rephrase my question do you want to either reincarnate in the world of your choice or send you to heaven tell me your choice young one ?"

"Wait Worlds of my choice, I'm afraid I don't understand what you are trying to say ?" I expressed my genuine concern over his question.

"You indeed an intriguing soul, It seems like you never heard the concept of Isekai as the term used by your humans to be reincarnated or transferred to another world " He replied.

"According to you, I can reincarnate to another world to my choice? my choice intense like a world of fiction maybe ?" I asked which I think is pretty impossible just asked out of his pretty curiosity.

"You right young one, I can send you to any world you desire even to the World of Avengers which you are pretty fond of which I can see from your memories " His reply shocked where I didn't expect his answer.
