CHAPTER START---

Late at night in Konoha general hospital, Naruto and Kakashi can be seen on separate beds being treated by Shizune and Tsunade, while the blonde boy is unconscious Kakashi is wide awake. Standing a few feet away leaning against the wall Jin can be seen eating a pack of chips as he observes the medical legend herself at work.

"So, Naruto couldn't convince him and Jin decided to step in. All three of you decided to stop him from killing Sasuke and lost until the Kyubi began pouring out. He then beats it and knocks Naruto out while Sasuke escapes with one eye. Did I miss anything Kakashi?" Tsunade asks as she heals the copy ninja's ribs.

"No... That's about it, ugh" he groans as she touches his ribs to check them.

"Any particular reason you two decided to save the traitor?" Jin calmly asks the man being healed.

"I, I believe in Naruto's bond with him. That Naruto can bring him back to the village." Kakashi says.

"Mhm, so you and the Hokage decided to place the fate of the village in the hands of a kid? And I'm supposed to trust you people, to run the entire village now?" Jin questions.

"Naruto is special, he can bring Sasuke back," Tsunade argues as she continues to heal Kakashi.

"Hm, and you were willing to bet the entire village on that, the woman who never wins a bet chooses to gamble the entire village and all its people on the actions of a child. Why are you Hokage exactly?" Jin says through gritted teeth.

As his words permeate the room, everyone is completely silent. Even Tsunade can't seem to formulate a response. The realization of her emotions overpowering her duty to the village finally dawning on her.

"I-I," sigh, "I'll be better" She whispers out.

"Thank you lady Hokage, Kakashi, if you get in my way like that again I won't spare you. I went easy on you all to avoid the Kyubi coming out from the start but next time I'll just tear your head off." Jin says while walking to the window. "Get some rest, and sorry about the ribs. I swear I didn't know you'd break that easy, I need to do some things lady Hokage, if you need me for specific missions I'll be there." He says while leaping out the window.

As Jin leaves the three Jounin in the room wait a moment before anyone speaks.

"So, how exactly did he beat you three and deal with the Kyubi? Kurenai's reports on him to the third Hokage said he might have strange techniques but couldn't put a solid finger on anything, how about you?" Tsunade asks.

"Well, hitting him felt like punching a wall. His ninjutsu doesn't seem to use hand signs and is more or less instant. Immense chakra capacity. He's also extremely fast but I don't think he can fully manage his speed. There is one thing I did manage to figure out. He can absorb chakra through touch. That's how he suppressed Naruto. He drained his chakra and pummeled him into sleep. The kid's dangerous, even without that massive snake he can summon." Kakashi says while moving to sit up in bed.

"Yeah Jiraiya told me about that, he also said that Master Fukasaku is training Jin in sage mode, he refused to say why just that it's for the best that he learns it," Tsunade says.

"Tsunade-sama isn't sage mode a bit much for a child to have?!" Shizune asks, obviously worried.

"I trust Jiraiya, besides, Jin seems like he only cares about protecting the village. I just don't know what Naruto will do. It seems like beating Jin AND Sasuke is what he'll have to do" She murmurs.

"Don't worry about that, I'll work the kid into shape" A new voice says from the window.

"Lord Jiraiya, what're you planning to do?" Kakashi asks.

"Well, Orochimaru has to wait three years to take Sasuke's body, let me be Naruto's teacher for a while Kakashi. I'll get him into shape, even if not to beat Jin, at least strong enough to drag Sasuke back here." The toad sage says as he looks at the injured Kakashi.

"Hmm, if Sensei knew you were training Naruto, that would put a smile on his face. Alright, Lord Jiraiya." Kakashi says as he relaxes a bit.

---Jin's apartment...

Sitting atop Jin's kitchen table holding their cups. Fukasaku(Pa) and Shima(Ma) nurse their tea while talking to the young man before them.

"Why'd ya summon us so late boy?" Pa asks, concern in his voice as he sees the unsure state Jin is in. Doubt plastered all over his student's face.

"If you knew something was going to happen, something bad. Would you let it happen if everything works out in the end?" He asks the wise toads, his words barely rising above a whisper.

"What do you mean child?" Lady Shima asks.

"Bad things will happen, but the world will recover. I've been playing along as if watching from outside all this time. But now, after I almost died, huh, never thought I'd get that hurt. I thought I was invincible. Now I want to end all the fighting."

"Oh, you want to bring about peace to the world? Sage mode would be a good first step, is that why you called us son, more training?" Pa asks.

"No, peace like that will never last, that's why the bijuu will never bring about peace. Peace can't be truly achieved. I want... I want to stop the fighting because their people won't fight. The hidden villages wouldn't fight without the Daimyo of their lands wanting to fight. The first war was to settle land disputes when the clans came together, the second was because the cloud felt threatened by its resources being cut. The third destroyed the surrounding lands because the land of fire couldn't feed the growing population. All of these can be stopped if people didn't have to fight. I'm not going to win the fights, I'm going to prevent them." Jin says in a small voice.

"Hm, so you're going to what? Become Hokage?" Ma asks.

"No, the kage kneel before the Daimyo which is why conflict will always arise, the Kage protects their village but the Daimyo must control the entire nation. I'll become someone, something, that the entirety of the elemental nations cannot imagine living without. Only then will we have it, Peace through necessity."

"Boy, that's a new way to see it, beyond the Hokage, leading the people directly. You really think you can do it?" Pa asks.

"Yes, but I'll need to get stronger while making this a reality. I'll become stronger to protect this world, spread my influence and reputation to make people drop their blades and reach further than anyone else, to help all people." Jin says as he looks directly at the toads.

"That's big talk, but you've got a lot of work to do for peace like that," Ma says.

'This world, as fantastical as it is lacks development like my old one did. Economics, agriculture, transportation. I'll make the people revolt should their Daimyo command them to raise arms against other nations. I won't control a hidden village, as Naruto wants, but the world itself'

"Then I've got to get to work, can you please take me to Mt.Myoboku, I think it's time for me to stop playing along and start controlling the board."

"Alright son, let's go, REVERSE SUMMONING JUTSU!"
