Nail In The Coffin

Erica got up out of bed and looked next to her. She sighed. Ivan walked into her room.

Erica: Ah! Hey! Privacy please!

Ivan: 10 minutes then.

Erica got up and freshened up. Ivan came back in.

Ivan: You've seemed unsettled. What's wrong?

Erica: Oh, you noticed?

Ivan: Of course I did.

Ivan sat down at the end of her bed.

Ivan: Is it because you got close with the first meta?

Erica: She has a name, you know.

Ivan: Millie Koruba.

Erica: I don't know how that's gonna go. But it's more that I'm worried for you…

Ivan: Me?

Erica: You're just being controlled like a puppet by mom!

Ivan: I understand. But these choices are all mine. She has been a huge help to us. She helped our operation gain traction. We need to destroy the blue coats. They are causing riots in our slave sites!

Erica: Oh, and isn't slavery just, terrible?

Ivan: We have to keep the peace. We take the metas out of society because they could be explosive. We are just trying to keep any peace that we have in the world. Please. Keep your head in the game. Either way, are you ready for our mission?

Ivan walked out. Leaving Erica to think for herself.

Leon was sitting down at the dining room table. Donny walked down.

Donny: You doing okay man?

Leon: I don't really know what to feel. It's weird. I have been looking into Ivan. How he might be traveling the astral plane.

Donny: Oh, awesome. Me and Amelia were planning on jumping in on them.

Leon: What?

Donny: We were gonna attack their base. I'm surprised they haven't found us.

Leon: Yeah. I'll try and help in any way I can.

Donny: Oh yeah, speaking of.

Donny got up and came back with a big blue jacket on his shoulder.

Donny: You got that big red jacket on. You just don't look the part that's why we got you this. If you're in that is.

Leon: Really? I appreciate it!

Donny: That mean you're in?

Leon: ...Yeah. I think it does.

Donny: Think of it as a memento of moving on.

Leon: ...Do you hear that?

Donny: Hear wha-

There was an explosion right next to Donny and Leon. It blew both of them off their chairs.

Donny: OUT, EVERYONE GET OUT.

Donny grabbed Leon and teleported him out of the house. He teleported upstairs but Amelia had already run all of them out. Donny reappeared next to all the blue coats.

Amelia: We were too late.

Donny: No time to regret right now.

Kuzu walked through the slide door. Two big men in knight armor stood on both sides of her. The house crumbled down to the ground behind her.

Kuzu: Wow, you all have matching outfits! That's so cute!

Donny: Hey lady, all you black coats do too!

Kuzu looked over to one of the knights. His armor was lined with blue.

Kuzu: Are you wearing a black coat under that armor.

Blue knight: Yep!

Kuzu: Dammit!

Amelia: This is our first really big deal battle. We got this?

Oscar, Blue, Harry and Leon nodded.

Amelia: Oh, also that blue looks good on you Leon.

Leon: You got that right.

Donny: Let's go.

Kuzu slammed her scythe down on the ground and pulled herself forwards towards the group. She smashed her scythe down at them. Everyone scattered. The blue knight shot a blast of water at Amelia, stopping any momentum she had. The other knight, with red outlines on his armor shot a blast of fire at Amelia. She went flying up in the air.

Kuzu: See?! These are the water and fire knights!

Kuzu slashed at Oscar and Blue. Oscar jumped backwards while Blue put his sword out and cut through Kuzu's scythe. She brought it back behind her and made blood clones of herself. Leon summoned a spell and killed all the clones and disoriented Kuzu. Harry tried to come from behind her and make her fall asleep. Kuzu kicked him in the stomach. He fell backwards. He threw out a sticky bomb at Kuzu. It stuck to her and detonated. It electrocuted her. She coated herself with blood to get the electric pulse off of her but blood is a great conductor. Amelia ran in a circle and punched Kuzu. She went flying through the fence. She teleported behind Oscar and did a double roundhouse followed with a swing of her scythe overhead. Oscar tanked the hits and ducked the scythe. He did a jump front kick. Kuzu dodged and swiped him with her scythe. She stood still and drained Oscar of a bit of blood. She laughed to herself but was stopped when Donny came from above and kicked her in the head. She fell on the ground and dropped her scythe. The fire knight grabbed Donny by the foot and threw him into the wreckage of the house. He teleported out of the air and back to the fire knight. But he was hit with a blast of water from the water knight. He fell to the ground. The water knight went to crush him but stopped.

Water knight: wow. That would've been so bad. I'm so sor-

Donny jumped up and kicked him in the helmet. Denting it. He threw out some mini sticky bombs which blew him to the ground. Donny teleported above him and did a flip in the air into an axe kick to the face. Which knocked him out swiftly. Kuzu came from behind and caught him with her scythe. Leon came in and tried to stop it with a shield but he was hit instead.

Fire Knight: Permission to kill?

Kuzu: Not the speedster. All the rest are fair.

Amelia summoned as much speed into her and slowed down time. She took out her phone and sent out a distress call to Terra, Amala and Millie. She ran over and moved the knights arms so they were punching each other and did a jump front kick at Kuzu. She was already tired by then. She fell to the ground on both knees onee time resumed. Kuzu flew into the fence and turned into a pool of blood to stop damage. Both the knights punched each other.

Fire knight: What the hell man?!

Water knight: No, that was you!

Amelia: Buy time!

Oscar ran up and punched the fire knight in his stomach. He threw out a barrage of punches but the fire knight was still standing. But Blue jumped in and knocked him down with his soul blade and knocked him over. Water knight got up and fired a stream of water at all of them. Blowing them back into the fence. Harry came from behind the fire knight and made him fall asleep. Kuzu sucked a bit of blood out of Harry. Enough to make him fall unconscious. Oscar punched her in the stomach. So hard that she went flying in the air. She took her scythe and brought it to the ground and flipped so she landed normally. She slammed her hand to the ground and a sea of blood came from her hand. Bringing Oscar and Blue to the ground.

Kuzu: I'll enjoy hanging you two up in my room!

Amelia got up and smashed into Kuzu with her body. Making Kuzu fly back. Donny teleported back with Terra, Millie and Amala with him just in the nick of time.

Amelia: Donny?

Donny: Don't worry. I got everyone!

Donny fell unconscious.

Amala: Don't worry. This won't be trouble for us.

Terra lunged at Kuzu and threw some quick jabs followed with a front kick.

Kuzu was sent flying backwards. She got up and sliced at Terra. Who tried to block but she was sent onto the ground. Kuzu tried to steal blood from Terra but Amala cut her scythe in two.

Kuzu: Dick!

Her scythe just materialized back. Water knight sent off a blast of water. Amelia got up and spun her arms really fast. Pushing the water back and at Kuzu and the Water knight. Amala went for a downward slice at Kuzu but she turned into a pool of blood and escaped.

Kuzu: Someone has to survive this run-in. I'll be back for you all...

Water knight fired some water at the Fire knight. He awoke.

Water knight: You know the mission? Just try not to overkill anyone!

Fire knight: No promises.

The water and fire knight shot a synchronized blast at the group. Everyone scattered. Terra jumped up. But their blast didn't stop. They just moved up and blasted Terra out of the sky. She was sent flying back into a car on the road. It's roof was completely busted in. Terra looked down at her armor. It saved her from a broken spine. Millie ducked under the knights and grabbed one by his legs. Pulling him to the ground. Fire knight fired a blast at her. She was hit but she held out her hand and fired a blast at them. They were both hit. Amala came from behind and stabbed Fire knight from the back and through the chest.

Water Knight: Brother!

Water knight fired a blast of water at Amala. Blasting her through the fence. Terra ran over and jumped off the house. She jumped high into the air and came down with a punch. Denting the Water knight��s helmet even more and knocking him out.

Amelia: ...thanks. Thanks for your help guys.

Everyone went to Terra's apartment. Terra had Harry and Donny in her bed to recover. Amelia was drinking some water.

Amelia: Everyone got a little banged up aside from them, right?

Oscar: We've never seen those knights before.

Blue: That girl though...She looks like a doctor I knew.

Oscar: Obviously a super insane one. She had problems.

Amelia: Alright. This is the last one. We are going to their base for real next time. I can't have any more injuries on my hands.

Terra: You think they'll be fine?

Amelia: Yeah. I know Donny'll make it. Harry will be okay. I hope Amala can take more than a little splash of water. We need to put together who's going.

Millie: I'm going. I can't stand by and let Ivan do whatever he wants.

Amala: We should get to them before the knights and that girl recover. Especially if it took all 9 of us to take them all down.

Amelia: Well this time we'll be catching them by surprise. We are gonna have to have Donny teleport us in there. We can't just go into the entrance this time. But we can't bring everyone. I don't want to do this again but should we leave some people behind to hold down the fort?

Blue: It's okay. I feel like you guys really have a beef with him. Me, Oscar and Harry will stay.

Amelia: So that leaves me, Donny, Terra, Millie, Amala and Leon.

Leon: I've decided to stay. You told me there was a way to get into the astral realm.

Amala: It really isn't that easy. If you can't get back you will pretty much die.

Leon: So I'd need to know how to bring them back. I have a stupid question, is anyone willing to be my test subject?

Amala: Why not?

Leon: Wait really? That fast?

Amala: I've seen everything in this world. It'd be pretty cool to astral project. Even though I'm pretty sure it's just all black.

Amelia: Well. In this case less might be better if we're gonna infiltrate. Our goal is to take out Ivan or shut down as many slave sites from that place as possible.

Terra: Oh yeah. I wanted to talk to you Leon.

Leon: Me? Okay. What's up?

Terra and Leon went out in the hallway.

Terra: I just wanted to tell you to try not to beat yourself up over Krilla. It was still her choice.

Leon: Are we seriously gonna talk about this now?

Terra: Yeah. I feel like you're pushing yourself hard since then. Here. How do you feel?

Leon: I feel like I am the one to blame. I didn't tell Amelia. Now she's gone.

Terra: I had the same thing. I looked back. If you only focus on the past then the past will catch up to you. I just want you to know to move on.

Leon looked at his new jacket. He smiled at Terra.

Leon: You really are good at making people feel better, you know that right?

Terra: I dunno. I guess I was just born with it. Let's go back in.

Terra and Leon went back into her apartment. Where she saw that Donny and Harry were awake.

Donny: ...So that's the plan? If we fail then we try astral projecting?

Leon: Once I feel safe with the new spell I'll meet up with you guys. If something happens I wanna be the backup.

Terra: Alright. Everyone ready?

Millie: Let's do it. I'm getting him outta my head.
