.

For two days straight, I kept looking for animals and fought them to hone myself. My first three opponents were quite unlucky due to me not having proper control over my strength, but the rest were, well you can say, they were able to walk home with some injuries.

After conquering my fears, I resumed my journey towards Korin's Tower. I also intensified my training by increasing the cap to 200 reps per exercise.

By the evening of the 8th day, I was almost 5 km away from the tower, knowing that there's a small tribe that lives around Korin tower, I planned to reach the tower the next day.

Currently, I am sitting on the branch of a tree and meditating. During these 8 days of meditation, I was able to feel the Ki present inside me. Well, when something new suddenly starts flowing inside you, it doesn't take much time to get used to it.

'I have to be careful, I might mentally be an adult, but I look like a 10-year-old kid. I'm also pretty sure that both Korin and Kami must've felt my Ki'

I need to be careful about how I use the knowledge I have, as I know there are beings in the Dragon Ball world who can easily find me if I do something a mortal wasn't supposed to know.

'Alright, that leaves me to first get the knowledge from them and then use it for my betterment'

I plan to act as a curious kid and ask about everything I can.

-//-Scene Change-//-

Coming out from the tree line, I saw the settlement of the Karinga tribe, these people were just a copy of the Native Americans from my previous world.

All of them were busy with their work, men were preparing to go hunting and women were either taking care of the children or sewing something.

They all were wearing quite similar baggy clothes, the only difference was men were wearing a sleeveless vest and women were wearing a shirt. They had faces painted in Native American style and were using bone necklaces, and Eagle feathers as a hair ornament.

As I walked closer, someone from the tribe noticed me and alerted others about me. With a happy smile, I walked near them and stopped 5 meters before them, then looked at them with a questioning gaze.

"Are you guys also here to climb the Korin Tower", I asked them and saw that many of them chuckled at my dumb question.

A huge man walked out of the crowd to come near me and then got on my level by getting on his knee, he put a hand on my shoulder and smiled kindly.

"No little child, us Karinga tribe live here as we are the guardians of this land as well as the Great Korin Tower," he said to me and then became worried as he saw my condition up close.

"But what about you, are you alright, who did this to you," he said while pointing at my clothes which were torn from places.

Then he noticed some blood on my clothes and immediately picked me up, then turned around towards his village.

"Osa, bring the medicine, this child is hurt," he shouted at someone in his tribe, most probably the village doctor.

Others instantly scattered and made way for the man to take me to one of the Tipi's, everything happened so quickly I couldn't even tell him that it wasn't my blood.

As we entered the Tipi, the man carefully laid me on small bedding made of clothes and leather. Before things got too out of control, I sat up to clear the misunderstanding.

"Child, lay down, you are hurt," the man yelled at me.

"Sir, I'm not hurt, this is just some animal's blood that I fought while on my way here," I said, trying to clear the misunderstanding.

The man, dumbfounded at my revelation, looked at me weirdly and then started checking me for injuries.

Not finding any injury, he sighed in relief and looked at me, "Child, The Sacred Land is a dangerous place, the animals living in it are too dangerous and violent"

Then a man and a woman rushed inside the Tipi with some ceramic jars in their hands,

"Raku, we brought the medicines," both of them said together.

"It's okay, it was just some animal blood, he's fine," the man now identified as Raku said to the doctors of the village.

"Ah, thank Kami, I was so worried about the little guy," the woman said with a sigh.

"But I think you should still examine him, Kana, he said he fought with a wild animal," Raku said to the woman.

"What, why didn't you say that sooner," Kana put the jars on the side and started examining me for any injury.

"Tell me, dear, does it hurt somewhere?" she asked while pressing lightly on my vital points.

"Ma'am I'm okay, I am not hurt," I replied with a smile

"Are you sure about that," Kana asked me with a motherly smile and put her hand on my cheek, "Wild animals are dangerous, a child like you should stay away from them," she said with sad expressions on her face, and that sadness on her face reflected the pain of losing someone.

Then, the cover of the Tipi opened again and Raku came inside with an old man.

The old man was shorter than Raku at around 6.5 feet, he had silver hairs and a white mustache, he was looking at me with a serious attitude.

Raku and the old man walked near me and sat in front of me on the ground.

"Child, this is our Village Chief, Hata," Raku introduced the old man, to which I nodded and accepted the new information.

"Tell me, child, who are you and why have you come so far from home," Hata, the village chief asked me.

"Sir, My name is Arlic," I introduced myself.

"I have come here to climb the Korin Tower, my goal is to become the strongest Martial Artist," I proclaimed while raising my fist in excitement.

All the adults present inside the Tipi looked at each other with a dumbfounded expression, and then looked back at me.

"Child, climbing the Korin Tower is not a child's play, only the worthy and strong Martial Artists can climb it and reach the top to receive the sacred water from Immortal Korin," Hata explained to me with concern.

"Whoa, what is this Sacred Water you just mentioned," I jumped and reached in front of him and asked him with stars in my eyes.

"Oh, it's a miracle water, given by the Immortal Korin to those who finish the challenge of Korin Tower, Sacred water helps people increase their strength and become strong Martial Artist," Hata explained to me while retreating a little.

"This Sacred Water, I want it, I want to become the strongest fighter," I said in excitement.

"Sorry child, I can't let you climb Korin Tower, you might get yourself killed," Hata said with a serious face.

"But I'm strong, and I can easily climb the tower," I told him with confidence

"Sorry child, I can't, you're too young, come back when you have grown up," Hata declared his final decision.

"Kana, take care of him, and Raku get four men to escort Arlic tomorrow back to his home", Hata said to them.

"Yes, Chief," Kana and Raku replied.

After declaring his final decision, Hata stood up and started to walk away.

"Wait," I cried out,

I can't leave, I have to start my journey to become strong, or I don't know what future awaits me.

Hata, hearing me yell, stopped walking and turned around to face me.

"You can't persuade me, child," Hata said while shaking his head in denial.

"Please, tell me if there is something that can make you believe that I can indeed climb that Tower", I begged him with tears forming in my eyes,

'When nothing works, puppy face works,' I thought and knew that the legendary technique has a 100% chance of a critical hit.

Hata looked at me and his expressions started to soften, he then sighed in defeat.

"Fine, Arlic, prove your strength by fighting Raku, the strongest fighter of the Karinga tribe," Hata said with a small smirk.

'Darn it, I can't fight this monster of a man, he'll defeat me in no time,' I thought to myself looking at the 7.5 feet huge monster. 'I have to think of something else quick,'

"Tell me, Arlic, will you fight with Raku," Hata asked me.

"I… I don't know how to fight," I replied with a sad tone.

"Can it be a battle of strength," I asked with watery eyes.

Looking at the tears forming in my eyes, Hata's smirk vanished, and a tender expression appeared on his face.

"What do you think, Raku, do you accept his challenge," Hata asked, turning his face towards Raku.

"I accept it, chief," Raku said in confidence, "I have full confidence in my strength,"

"Okay, then tell me when do you want to have the battle," Hata asked me

"I want some time to train, please give me a week," I said after having some thoughts.

"Okay, in a week you and Raku will have a battle of strength," Hata declared and then turned toward Osa and Kana, "Both of you take care of little Arlic for a week,"

"And if you lose, you will return to your home, am I clear," Hata turned toward me and said with narrowing eyes.

"Crystal," I replied while grinning

Now I have one week to get strong, or I have to change my plan and go to Kame house to train. I have to recall all the strength exercises I had seen in my previous life, I can't let this chance go.

"Alright, I'll send you some clothes of your size, change into them and train however you want for a week," Hata said and quickly left the Tipi.

"Arlic, come with us," Osa said and turned to leave.

"Okay," I said, and ran after Osa and Kana.

[Korin Tower]

A white fat cat holding a wooden staff was standing on the edge of the top spherical structure on Korin Tower. This white cat's name is Korin, and he's looking down from the tower, he was currently investigating the new strong Ki that appeared near his Tower.

"This kid is quite strong, although naive, but strong," Korin mumbled, "He's quite naive to think that he can become stronger than Raku in a week,"

"Well, I should still be ready if some kind of miracle happened," Korin said and went back inside.

-//-Scene Change-//-

[The Lookout]

An old and wrinkly green man with two little antennas on his forehead was standing on the edge of a floating semi-spherical structure. He is wearing a white robe with a blue-collar and is holding a wooden staff similar to Korin, he has the word God written on his robe in red colour. He was looking down towards the lower realm, investigating Arlic. He had a concerned expression on his face while he was assessing him.

"Kami, what's the problem," a voice came from behind.

"It is about this child Mr Popo, he came here to challenge Korin's Tower," the green old man identified as Kami replied, "I'm afraid this might be another plan by the Demons to infiltrate earth"

"Why do you think that, Kami," Mr Popo asked Kami curiously.

Kami turned around to face Mr Popo, Mr Popo is short and plump, he has a black complexion, red lips, and pointy ears. He wears a single gold hoop earring on each ear. Mr Popo has a white turban with an aqua-coloured jewel resting on his forehead. On his upper body, he wears a sleeveless vest that exposes part of his torso, as well as gold armbands on his upper arms. On his lower body, he wears white harem trousers with a red sash around his waist.

"This child's Ki is far more destructive than Normal Ki," Kami replied, then made a serious face, "The most concerning thing about him is that he has quick regenerate,"

"But Kami, I can't feel any Demon Ki from him, I don't think he is part of the Demon clan", Mr Popo explained his opinion.

"That is the only thing stopping me from sealing him, Mr Popo," Kami clarified his intentions.

"What if he is under mind control, Demons are vile creatures, Mr Popo, they must have experimented on this poor child's body," Kami said with a sad face, "Garlic can go to any length to return to earth, and that child even has a name similar to him".

"You might be right about that Kami, but what can we do, what if that child isn't controlled by demons, and is just another different human like you," Mr Popo inquired.

"If that is the case, then maybe we can train him to be Earth's protector, he has so much potential, I can only imagine how strong he will get when he grows up," Kami said with enthusiasm.

"We can try giving him the Sacred Water," Mr Popo suggested

"Hmm, Sacred Water, maybe it's ability to undo mind control can uncover this mystery," Kami said, agreeing to Mr Popo's plan.

"If it doesn't affect him after drinking it, then I suggest we should train him to be the next Kami," Mr Popo said with a smile.

"I see, then let's hope for the best, Mr Popo," Kami said with a smile, and resumed to watch over the earth.
