System?

I wake up in the blank space.

"Host" I hear a voice behind me

The system is back? I start shaking as I think about the system.

"Host clam down" I hear as a small glowing ball floats towards me. Rubbing itself against me like it's comforting me.

"Your the system" I ask

"Yes and no," the ball says.

"The day we made the contract I was infected with a virus. Causing me to go into a deep slumber. So the system that you were supposed to be with was me but the system you got put with was the virus."

"What about the tasks assigned by the virus system then" I asked

"Those of course aren't the real tasks" the system answers.

I sigh in relief and ask

"what are my real task then"

"This system is system 063 and our system name is Protect the cannon fodder. Your real taskis to take down protagonists that have become evil, killing and harming innocents. Earning points along the way to buy things from the shop to help you get items" The system answers again. It shocks me for the system to say so much because before it would have just ignored my questions.

"Then I don't have to follow the characters' plot and character?" I ask

"You don't have to follow what the character did in the original plot where the protagonist was good and you can act however you want just don't kill the protagonist since they are still the sons and daughters of heaven but you can make it so they have a bad ending" the system answers.

As I process the information that has been given to me I unknowingly fall to the ground. The system tries to help me which brings me back.

"May I rest for now" I ask

"of course" the system says. I lay down and close my eyes feeling the warmth of the system next to me falling asleep, having a dreamless night yet again.
