Not A Joke

There was a deafening silence in the room. Every one of them was shocked at what Deb had just revealed.

"Is this supposed to be a joke?" Mason asked angrily, finally snapping out of his shock.

Deb shook her head. "No, it's not. You are not Jack's son." She sounded so sure of what she was saying.

"What the fuck are you talking about? My mother had me after she got married to Jack, are you saying...?"

"Your mother was already pregnant with you before she got married to Jack.

"She was a few weeks gone, and none of us knew about it. And when she gave birth to you, a little earlier than nine months after their marriage we all thought that she had gotten pregnant the night of the party. But that wasn't the case, she was pregnant for her boyfriend before she got married to Jack, and she knew about it and kept it away from him. She made him believe you were his. She...."
