The Black Swordsman and The Robin Hood

Faust grabbed the map that Mark had given to them from his backpack and opened it up. The map is not that detailed, but it still has a few easy-to-spot landmarks and the general area in the forest. Right now, Faust is trying to find a suitable spot to be their campsite.

Faust scans the map and finds a lake not too far from their current place. It is located at the border of the outskirts of the forest and the deeper parts of the forest, between the outskirts and the center of the forest. Since their mission is to hunt rank 3 magic beasts where most of them lived at this part, not too deep from the outskirts of the forest, making the area near the lake as their campsite is a good choice. So the twins decided to go there.

"We should be able to find the magic turtles at the lake right? Since there is no other area with a huge body of water nearby"

"Yes, you're right Gra! Since when do you use your brain for such things?"

"Shut up Faust, I just wanted to try something against the magic turtles."

"Well, father said that they are peaceful as long as we don't start engaging them in a fight first, so I don't think making enemies with our neighbor on our first day is a good thing. And if you are thinking about comparing who is stronger, your new halberd or that turtle shell, please don't. We need the shell as a material, and destroying it is not good for our mission."

"Of course no! I never planned on chopping the shell to pieces with my halberd at all. I've never thought about it!" Angra said as he looked the other way and clicked his tongue.

"Whatever you want to try, please keep that in mind."

Faust then looked at the zombie crew walking behind them and said, "You guys, go ahead first and clear out the rank 1 and rank 2 magic beasts on our paths. I will tell you guys the direction we're going in so please don't go too far away from the path. Oh and also, please use the power-leveling method to level up Robin and Edgar first, you guys understand?"

The zombie crew then nodded in unison before quickening up their pace and walked first into the direction that Faust told them to go. It should take them killing tens of rank 2 magic beasts for only one of the two to get to level 10, but they have a lot of time, and Faust and Angra also able to help them hunt rank 3 magic beasts to fasten the process, so they can just take it slow killing the rank 1 and 2 magic beasts.

Since most of them have already reached rank 3, fighting rank 1 and rank 2 magic beasts are already not a challenge for them. With Husk, Zayn, and Mark having silent steps in their skillset, ambushing a magic beast and incapacitating it only needed one move with the combination of attack from the three of them.

And Ben could even easily deal with a rank 2 magic beasts like the magic rhino who has a naturally strong defense on his own with his skill, charged strike. The skill assisted Ben in gathering mana to his weapon, in this case into the makeshift halberd that Faust had made for him and made the weapon stronger, faster, and sharper. If he could land a good hit onto the magic rhino's head, the halberd, with the assist of the skill, could pierce through its head and kill it instantly.

While the one who has to struggle a bit is Edgar, he used to be a mage when he was alive, but when Faust made him a zombie, he lost his ability to use magic, and now he is forced to use a dagger to fight the enemies. But luckily his friends, including Robin who is still at rank 2 also helped him and gave him the opportunity to give the most experience from killing the magic beasts with the method that Robin thought up, and called the power-leveling method by Faust. They fought by immobilizing the magic beasts together and giving Edgar the free hit to end the magic beast's life.

Although The Forest of Beast is called a forest, the truth is, it takes up an area as huge as a whole another kingdom in itself and it's not wrong to even call it The Kingdom of Beasts. The team has been traveling for a while now that the sun is almost directly on top of their heads. But luckily the lush trees of the forest helped Faust and Angra to feel less hot from the sunlight. But constantly walking from when the sun wasn't up until almost noon is tiring for people, mainly Faust. While the rest of the team is an undead who can't get tired and Angra has his attribute boosted up, but Faust only got the ability unordinary strength and not unordinary stamina, of course, he got tired and needed breaks. So he called the team to slow down and search for a place to take their break.

They quickly find a small clearing and Faust takes out his and Angra's lunch, the bacon egg sandwich that Lily made this morning. She intentionally made extra portions for the twins to take as their lunch for today. But starting from dinner, they have to catch their own prey and cook it themselves, which is not a problem since the zombie crew had been killing plenty of them on the way and Angra had taken some cuts of meat that he liked from the slain magic beasts and asked Faust to freeze them using ice magic to preserve them. Faust then put the conserved meat into a sack that they prepared from home and tied it to Pat Kai's body.

Faust then sat at a soft patch of grass near a large tree, he ate his sandwich while leaning against the huge tree trunk. Angra also did the same and happily eats his mother's delicious cooking. While the zombie crew didn't have to eat, they only stood guard around the area just in case any magic beasts came to the area.

While slowly enjoying his lunch, Faust looked at his surroundings and found the atmosphere around him calming and peaceful. The abundance of green around him, along with the sparse sunlight that pierced through the leaves gave him the sense of going on a camping trip to the jungle. Faust wondered if back on earth, the voids didn't come, will he be able to enjoy moments like this or will he still waste his time chasing something useless and he will once again be too late in realizing it. But now that he is already in this world, he doesn't want to think too much about it and just enjoys the moment that he's in right now.

Without realizing it, the bacon egg sandwich that Faust had is already completely gone to his stomach. He decided to stretch out his body and looked at what the zombie crew was doing. Although they are undeads that always listen to what he commands them to do, Faust also noticed that they are not like the mindless undead that his father told him about.

Faust realized the small things they did like they are able to make their own strategy to ambush the enemies, splitting their forces, and finding methods such as the power-leveling to execute his order the best they can and Faust never told them to do any of these things. He only told them to 'Go hunt rank 1 and rank 2 magic beasts and level up as quickly as possible.' But they could make their own independent decisions that Faust didn't command them to do. Faust really wanted to know what is exactly on their minds, like if their consciousness is the same when they are still alive or did they have their own goals, but his necromancer skill is not that high yet and they are still low-ranked undead so he wasn't able to properly have a chat with them even if he really wanted to.

The zombie crew is currently patrolling the area around in pairs. Zayn with Mark, Ben with Robin, and Husk with Edgar. This kind of behavior is also not one of Faust's commands, but their own independent decision. And Faust thinks that the combination is quite good, Zayn and Mark the ex-thief duo that infiltrated his house first, Ben and Robin along with Husk and Edgar pairing is to help the weaker Robin and Edgar to be able to fight properly with the help of the members who is more skillful at fighting, Zayn and Ben.

While looking at them, Faust also noticed that their lineups are not that good, 4 of them right now using daggers which is maybe good when doing thief works like ambushing, breaking in into places, and stuffs, but Faust wanted his undead to be more well rounded in their line ups. He then thought hard about who should change their weapons. Ben is already good since he is the only warrior who can deal with head-on attacks. Faust also felt that the thief duo, Mark and Zayn, are already fit for their role. And Faust still hopes for Edgar to be able to use his magic again when he reaches rank 3. The remaining members are Husk and Robin. Faust heard from Angra that Husk can use death mana when he is still alive, so that must have an effect on his future development, then an idea suddenly came up in his mind. He then called for Husk. Husk quickly came over and stood in front of Faust.

"Husk, do you want to be stronger?"

Without any delay, Husk then nodded in reply.

"So I've heard a myth that there is a black swordsman that went into another world, he became so good that he is able to kill the god of the first world, cut bullets in the second world, and even cut through magic in the third world. Do you want to be like that?"

Husk only stood there silently as if thinking about his master's proposal.

"Ah, by the way, a bullet is a very fast arrow, like the magic gun-javelin that I made."

Realizing that his master had said that someone is able to cut through something as amazing as his master's gun-javelin, now he is convinced that he wanted to be like the black swordsman.

"Okay then, I will ask dad to make you a pair of swords for you to dual wield when we get back home."

Faust then dismissed Husk and then called Robin over. He remembered his first meeting with Robin, where he made a remark about how his name and profession make so much sense. 'Wait a minute..' An idea then suddenly popped up in his head.

"Robin, do you want to be a real Robin Hood?"
