Protectors : Human & Demon

Somewhere near a little village in the kingdom of Brandia. Outside the village, there exists a small wooden cottage, inside of it there are 2 babies that seem to be arguing about something. One of the babies will say "uaa uu?" and the other replied "UAA AAAAU GGG GGG AAA!!" then the other tilted its head and said "auu a?" then the other waved his hand excitedly "UA UA AU YYYYYY UU!" then the other nodded and said "au!"

Going back to 3 months ago

'GRA! ARE WE REINCARNATED?'

'I don't know Faust is this like the ones in the novel that you read about people being rebirth in another world?'

'IT LOOKS LIKE IT!'

'But I don't know if it's another world or not.'

'Oh and btw Faust, how can we talk to each other?'

Faust and Angra then see a man with a large build talking to an old woman about something. They can't seem to understand the language that they are using.

The man then walked toward them and picked them up gently, then he carried them to a woman who seems tired and worn-out like she had just done a marathon. But when she held both of them, Faust and Angra can feel the happiness, love, and affection the woman gave them. They can see her smile and hear her saying something. Even if they don't know what she is saying to them, but they can feel that her feelings are soothing for them.

Mark's POV

"Congratulations sir, you have been blessed with twins."

I looked at the two babies laying on the crib that I have made for them. I can't believe that we really can have a child, even better a twin! Lily must be really happy.

I picked both of them up and carried them to their mother. Seeing Lily's tired face disappearing after seeing the two boys also relieved me.

"Who should we name them Lily?" I asked my wife.

Looking at her sons, one of them moved his little hands back and forth looking like he's excited that he could finally come out of the womb while the other just calmly observing her and his sibling.

"Let's name the fervent one Isaac and the quiet one Aiden"

"Welcome to this world Isaac, Aiden"

Noticing that his two boys didn't cry like normal babies he began to question is it because of his demon bloodline that they're not like normal babies but he doesn't know himself because he never seen a demon born himself. So he asked the midwife

"Is it normal that they are not crying like I heard normal babies would when they are just born?" (Mark)

"Don't worry young man, sometimes you can find babies that don't cry when they're born. Your babies are healthy from what my experience and diagnosis magic have told me. If anything happens you can call me again from the village, I will be taking my leave for now."

"Hope they will be alright and grow up strong like me." (Mark)

"I just hope they don't cause trouble like you" (Lily)

"We have to protect them when the time comes right?" (Mark)

"I will teach them with the best of my abilities and prepare them for when the worst time comes" (Mark)

"Yes sure, but let them enjoy their rest right now." (Lily)

Marchosias look at the two boys looking back at him and Lily with curious but sleepy eyes, 'they must be tired after their effort escaping that hole' he thought

"Of course, and you should rest too dear." (Mark)

Marchosias then kissed his wife on the forehead and went on to kiss his sons, but when he neared their forehead, they somehow tried to look away to dodge his love attack.

A week has passed since then.

Faust and Angra are now sure that they are reincarnated, and in a world with medieval era settings.

They know that they live in a wooden house somewhere, with a complete father and mother. They are still learning their languages but they eventually knew that Faust's new name is now Isaac while Angra's is Aiden, by their mother constantly trying to talk to them to get them used to talk.

Every day their father will go out in the morning and come back in the evening sometimes bringing a boar with large bodies and horns as big as a baseball bat protruding from their nose, while their mother will stay at home to take care of them and do the housework.

But Faust and Angra noticed something while they are watching their mother doing chores.

They saw the clothes that their mother had just washed float and squeezed themselves then a wind blew them dried then flew themselves onto a basket prepared for the dried clothes.

Faust's mouth was agape for a while then shouted loudly in his mind

'GRA! GRA! DID YOU SEE THAT? IT'S MAGIC, IT MUST BE MAGIC RIGHT? THERE'S NO ESPER POWER'S TO DRY CLOTHES RIGHT? SO IT MUST BE MAGIC!'

'Yes Faust even though I'm not inside your head anymore, but I'm still beside you and I can see what you see. We don't know if it's a type of esper ability or magic, if she can only do one type of things then it's an esper if she can do many things then it's magic'

'Okay! Let's observe more.'

Then they watched their mother lit the firewood stove with fire coming from her hands, washes them with magically appearing water that filled a basin for them to bath, produces wind strong enough to cut the firewood, and then after a full day of observing their mother, they finally are convinced that it is indeed a world with magic.

'I guess it also explains why we can talk without using our mouth, it seems that we have some kind of telepathic magic abilities.' (Angra)

'I want to learn it right now! Today! This minute! This second!'

'Calm down Faust, come on is being a kid really regressed your mental state that bad?' (Angra)

'Maybe, but It seems really exciting you know, being born into a new world, even with someone I know not being all alone, I can't wait for our journey in this new world.' (Faust)

'And with magic existing, If we get good enough, maybe we can learn dimension magic if it does exist here and do what the Voids do? We may be able to go back to earth to get revenge on those damned Invaders.' (Faust)

'I don't know if there's a time difference between this world and Earth, but if we can save them why not? I haven't seen Jess' and Alfred's souls nor bodies so maybe they are lucky enough and survived. Maybe they are already living their dream in the countryside somewhere, if possible I want to see how they're doing.' (Faust)

'Alright slow down Faust, there's a lot to do then. But don't you think it's also nice living here? We seem to have a loving family that cared for us, and with our mental age being this old, I think we have a head start compared to other babies out there right? We can surely make mama proud.' (Angra)

'mama.....' (Faust)

'Shit, I've stepped on a landmine Angra thought to himself.

'Yes Faust, We can live our lives properly with this new chance, you can redo your life and avoid doing the same mistakes, while I can experience what family and life are since I don't have any memories before I met you. And guess what I have my own body right now. We can surely enjoy our new lives, Our second chance here.' (Angra)

'Yeah you're right Gra, the thought of magic seems to be making me forgot about the present.' (Faust)

'And learning from our experience from the fight against the Voids, I think we should be strong enough to protect those close to us right? Starting with each other then mom and dad.' (Faust)

'Since there is no danger, let us take this slow and explore this world bit by bit. And for our glorious path for becoming stronger, how about we start by learning their languages? We can't learn anything if we can't read/write or even speak.' (Angra)

'Sure let's focus on learning the languages and how to talk first!' (Faust)

3 months later

'Umm, Faust?'

'WHY CAN'T WE TALK GRAA WHY IS LANGUAGE SO HARD!!"

Angra tilted his head and asked 'I mean it's only been 3 months right?'

'BUT BUT WHEN CAN WE LEARN MAGIC AND STUFF IF WE CAN'T EVEN TALK, I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO USE BOWS AND ARROWS BUT FORGET THAT WE CAN'T EVEN SIT ON OUR OWN!!" Faust said while flailing his hand.

'Patience Faust, Patience' Angra said while nodding his head. 'remember to take it slow, bit by bit okay?'

'I'm starting to miss my gun and shooting the Voids!'

'Remember it starts slow but when we able to walk and read, we can study magic and our progress will snowball due to our headstart.'

Yes contrary to the team captain Faust, Faust without any responsibilities to hold, and subordinate he needs to maintain his image. Faust right now is the real Faust that Angra has to deal with on a daily basis, his daily nagging and complaining didn't stop even in this new world, and without responsibilities tying him down, it only makes Angra's headache worse. But Faust is still Faust, even when he's complaining all the time, he is still talented, witty, and smart. Even though he's complaining he can't talk, he already understands a lot of words his mother and father used to talk to them, and he frequently translated it to Angra for him to understand. Which frustates Angra when he's only good at brute strength and head-on methods despite his calm appearance.

'Damn I miss life where every day is only punching those bastards' core out of their damn head..'

'What is it Gra? You're saying something?' (Faust)

'No, nothing. Btw what's mom talking about with dad that earlier?' (Angra)

'She's just saying that she will cook his favorite wild boar stew for dinner.' (Faust)

'I want to eat that too, It's not I'm being ungrateful with mom's milk but it lacks that oomph when you're eating grilled meat you know?' (Faust)

Seeing their kids speaking in their baby language excited Lily And Mark

"What do you think they are talking about?" (Lily)

"I don't know maybe about how their but are itchy because of the diapers or because they're bored and wanted to go outside." (Mark)

"Or maybe they are amazed with the magic I showed them, Isaac always looked at the magic with eyes full of excitement then looked at me as if begging me to teach him." (Lily)

"Of course we'll teach them magic, since they are half demons they should be born with the talent to use it." (Mark)

"I wonder what attributes they will be the most profficient with" (Mark)

"Let's hope at least one of them are profficient in wind magic, I want to teach them my lightning speciality." Lily said as she produces sparks of lightning between her index and middle finger then releasing them to the window outside, causing a small patch of grass scorched from the sparks.

"Sure, we will teach them a lots of things when they grow up a little." Said Mark while flicking his finger aiming at the patch of scorched grass then burried the scorched patch of earth with the pressure from his flick.
