Rank 3 Zombs

The fight against the wolves with the zombie pair is going great with 2 zombies flanking each wolf from 2 sides, the smaller wolves are being pushed back.

After making sure that the zombie crew is safe and are doing well, he focused back on the 2 small grey wolves in front of him. He tried to hit them with the usual death mana arrow but the arrow was too slow for the wind attributes wolves.

Their movements are fast and agile and they can release wind slashes with their paws making Faust had to conjure earth walls or dodge with his own wind spells.

He knew that if he has to keep up with the speed game, he will be exhausted first against the 2 speedy wolves. So he constructed a plan in his head to deal with this problem.

Faust then released a death mana arrow to one of the wolves, slightly tilted left, making the wolf jump on to the right to dodge the arrow, but Faust already predicting it, using earth magic he makes a sinkhole where the wolf was about to land making him fall into the ground.

Before the wolf succeeded in getting out of the hole, earth spikes popped out from below and the sides of the sinkhole straight penetrating the wolf. While they are quick and agile, defense is not their strong trait, making the earth spikes able to pierce through their skin riddling holes everywhere on its body and certainly ending its life.

Seeing his fellow pack member getting killed in that way, the other wolf raged and growls angrily at Faust before putting every ounce of its strength into a pounce towards Faust with its mouth opening wide in an attempt to bite off Faust's head. Faust being ready for the rage attack, shot his most dense death mana arrow he could make in the span of time before the wolf jumps at him. Fortunately, the arrow is strong enough to shock and weaken the wolf considerably for Faust to end its life with an earth spike piercing its head.

This kind of behavior will not happen if the alpha is fighting alongside them, but with Angra being a tough opponent for the alpha, the alpha can't split its focus elsewhere let alone monitor its pack members. One second of distraction can get Angra's death infused halberd straight slicing its head.

With Faust's enemies gone, he helped the zombie crew to make them finish their opponents so they get more experience before checking on Angra.

'Gra are you ready for some zapping?' (Faust)

'What is it Faust, I'm a little busy right now, don't play word game with me.' (Angra)

'Alright muscle head, just be ready to strike when I give you the chance okay?' (Faust)

'Oh on second thought can you give it to the zombie crew? I'll believe they'll surely evolve when they defeated that thing.' (Faust)

'Damn it Faust, I fought it alone for all this time can you give this one to me?' (Angra)

'Come on my dear sweet, kind, and strong brother please????' (Faust)

'No Faust, just help me finish this.' (Angra)

'I'll give you its soul for you to eat, isn't that okay?' (Faust)

'Hey, I'm the one fighting it right now so it belongs to me in the first place.' (Angra)

'I'll do your chores at home for three days how about it?' (Faust)

'Laundry, dishes, and everything?' (Angra)

'Everything.' (Faust)

'Hmm but I don't think it's worth it' (Angra)

After finalizing the deal with Angra, Faust told the zombie crew to prepare to attack the alpha wolf after he gave them the signal.

Faust then conjured a lightning spell with both of his hands. Condensing wind elements in both of his hands making electron imbalances that cause lightning to occur. Sparks of electricity started appearing, then he pours in more magic to make the lightning stronger.

The alpha wolf certainly noticed the influx of magic happening near him, but he thought that he could dodge any magic with his speed, and the speedy wind magic can't damage him significantly so he just ignored it.

Not knowing what it's dealing with, the wolf continued to exchange blows with Angra until suddenly it saw a light flashing so bright and in the next moment, all his body was paralyzed and refused to move according to his command. And that was the last thing he regretted before 6 zombies appeared and battered him to death.

After sighing with relief, Faust checked the zombie crew if any one of them reached level 10 and to his surprise, Husk did it!

"Alright zombie crew, we'll see what you'll become when you reached rank 3" (Faust)

After announcing the rank up, Faust then connected his mind with Husk. And said 'status!'

Hearing this, all the members of the zombie crew felt joy and happiness and relief that they will be able to be like what they were before and maybe even stronger. All these emotions are transferred to Faust through the connection they have with each other.

"Alright Husk, now let's see how is your stats!" (Faust)

"Alright guys, let's go back for today and go to your usual spot near the house and be careful not to get seen by others than us, father and mother!" (Faust)

"One of my zombies have reached rank 3 mom! And guess what, he turned into a zombie thief! I wonder what the other zombie will evolve to when they reach rank 3!" (Isaac)

"Wow congrats Faust! You're one step closer to that invincible undead army that you wanted!" (Lily)

"I'm still far from that mom, but I will definitely one day achieve it!" (Isaac)

"How about you Aiden?" (Lily)

"I ate a bunch of wolf spirits and got agility attributes mom" Aiden said with his face seems a little down.

"It's okay Aiden, you're also doing great. You will be the strongest in this world!" (Isaac)

"Yes Aiden, don't be sad, you two boys have your own unique talent and skills." (Lily)

"Thanks Aiden, thanks mom." Aiden said while his noticeably gloomy face becoming more visibly regaining its color.

'Oi Gra, you're not actually sad aren't you?' (Faust)

'I'm not sad Faust, I just wanted something more amazing you know, like your undead army is very cool.' (Angra)

'Damn these kids' hormones really acting up on our emotion aren't they. Don't worry Gra, our unique skill is different for a reason, maybe your time hasn't come yet. But getting attributes from eating souls already a cheat-like ability from my perspective you know? And by the way, I gave the undead troop a name, they're called zombie crew starting now. ' (Faust)

'Yea, it must be these damn bodies with undeveloped brain making these emotional spikes for me, thanks for reminding me that I'm actually a thousand years old demon inside.' (Angra)

'No problem with that brother.' (Faust)

'You're getting comfortable calling me brother now?' (Angra)

'Yes but no, I won't start calling you brother all the time.' (Faust)

'Yes I refuse to be called brother all the time, it will be weird as hell.' (Angra)

"What are you two doing staring at each other?" (Lily)

"No mom, nothing Aiden said that he loves me using his body and face language." (Isaac)

"Daad, when can we fight rank 3 magic beast? Rank 2 alone is not enough anymore!" (Isaac)

"Rank 3 magic beast is more complex than rank 1 and rank 2. Rank 3 magic beast started to have multiple magic attributes they can use and Rank 3 magic beast are usually a mutation of the previous rank beast." (Mark)

"But now I already have my undead Army! And we have defeated a pack of rank 2 wolves! And Aiden could hold the Alpha wolf on his own !" (Isaac)

"Your undead army is not strong enough right now, I mean you probably could defeat a rank 3 beast, but I don't want to take any risk for you guys." (Mark)

"But if we want to be stronger we have to fight stronger enemies dad!" (Isaac)

Mark was thinking of ways to dissuade his 6 years old sons from going into a dangerous battle. He knows that what Aiden said is true that they need to fight stronger opponents to become stronger, but rank 3 magic beasts are much more dangerous than the human robber group that they had fought.

"You may go." (Mark)

"YESSS!" (Isaac)

"IF" (Mark)

"All your zombies have reached rank 3." (Mark)

"Okay Dad! That's no problem at all! Thank you dad, we love you!" (Isaac)

Then Isaac and Aiden proceed to hug Mark's right and left legs respectively.

'Damn these kids sure know how to get what they wanted.'

"Alright it's time to go to sleep boys, don't wait until mom zap you to bed !" (Lily)

"Yes mom Goodnight!!" Isaac said while running back to his bed without looking back at all with Aiden following behind him.

"Goodnight mom" (Aiden)

On that quiet night, 6 zombies started to roam towards the Forest of Beast.
