Sky and Atlas trained together, day in and day out, oftentimes going late into the night. They rarely stopped for breaks, only resting and eating once training had ended. This continued for four months, no matter the weather condition or the condition of their bodies the two trained until the final day arrived.
"Boy, level two!" Atlas shouted as he assumed a crouched fighting stance, his hands formed like paws.
FWOOM! He closed in on Sky jabbing, punching, kicking, all of which Sky avoided with ease waiting until he saw an opening. When the unrelenting attack showed no plans of stopping Sky realized there wouldn't be one and slipped in a deep breath. SHINK! He slipped above Atlas and drove a hard punch into his back sending a dust cloud flying.
Once the dust had settled Sky was sprawled on the floor, panting as Atlas stood over him dusting his hands off.
"I said level two!" Atlas scolded.
"We're finishing here!" He said turning around.
"I… can still… go more rounds…" Sky said through deep breaths.
"I know Boy, but tomorrow is the fight, and your body needs rest." Atlas explained.
"You looked more fluid today than usual." Leeds said as he approached Sky, tossing him a towel.
After the burial, Leeds had holed himself up in his room, not speaking or talking to anyone. Only recently had he started coming out and watching Sky train.
"Not yet, I can feel myself thinking every time I see it coming." Sky sat up and started wiping the thick layer of sweat off his face.
"Kronos isn't here today?" Sky asked.
"He's at the arena, making sure no surprises are set for tomorrow." Leeds turned to look at Atlas.
"Are they here yet?" He asked.
"The moons? Probably…" Atlas waved as he started making his way up towards the town hall.
Recently Atlas had turned Kronos' room into his own, making Sky and Kronos now have a third roommate.
Eventually Sky pushed himself up and followed. Talking with Leeds about the plan as they walked. When he had first emerged from his room Leeds had been unfocused, and lifeless but after seeing Don looking after Matthew and Sky training he had started to come back. A few weeks ago he had been told about the plan by Kronos and decided to support it.
"Where's Prometheus?" Sky asked, realizing he hadn't seen the titan since hearing about Lucy's death.
"Before the burial he said he had something to take care of and poofed off." Atlas explained as they entered the giant room that had been left empty since Bahrny's humiliation in it.
The three of them made their way upstairs and found a new pair of clothes amongst the mess in the room. Atlas had heard that Kronos didn't have a bathroom and forced one to be created on the second floor. After a little a while the two had showered and now wore new clothes.
Atlas had returned to his old jester uniform, cloak and all while Sky had one a white t-shirt and blue pants.
"Now you rest boy!" Atlas ordered, "No more fighting, thinking, training, pure and complete rest!"
Sky nodded realizing how much he had learned in just four months with Atlas as his teacher. He laid down on the bed and before he knew it a wave of drowsiness came over him.
"WHY ARE ALL OF YOU IN HERE!?!?" The loud voice of Atlas woke him up.
"Leeds told us to come here!" Said a familiar voice.
"AND WHY ARE YOU HERE!!" Atlas boomed.
"To help!" The cheerful tone was unshaken.
"To inspect." Said another, calmer voice.
Sky groaned as he twisted in his sleep.
"He's not a normal human is he? White-haired tribe?" The second voice asked.
Sky suddenly felt the presence of multiple people looking at him. Unable to fall back asleep he opened his eyes seeing the three moons from earlier along with two new people standing before him.
"Oh good, you're awake now." Said the man who was inches from his face.
"Ah!" Sky jumped back, hitting his head against the wall.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said as he took a few steps back.
Sky's eyes drifted to the window, noticing the evening sun before his attention returned to the strangers standing before him.
The man that was inspecting him was in his thirties and had brown bushy hair that had been pulled back into a bun and a bushy beard as well. His face seemed very muscular and toned, too toned for a normal person. He was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt with its sleeves rolled up and its front open with black pants and shoes. Strapped to his back was a large scroll with a brown leather strap. Through his shirt Sky could see several pockets on the inside full of notes and papers.
"I'm Rune!" He said, sensing Sky's gaze on him.
The other person was a beautiful woman that looked to be in her mid twenties. She had a slender figure and a small chest. She had chocolate skin, short, black hair and green eyes. Her face was very petite, and slender, adding to her beauty. She was wearing a tight purple tank top that tucked into her shorts. Her legs from the mid thigh to her knees were covered in leggings while from the knee down she wore tall black boots.
"Hello!" She got really close to Sky, enough so that he could smell her perfume. "My name is Elsa!"
"Um… Sky." Sky said awkwardly.
"Hey! Attention here!" Atlas shouted, "What do you mean to help?"
Rune turned to him, "We're going to help with the rescuing of the villagers." He spoke confidently.
Atlas stared at him for a few seconds, "Is that the best way?" Atlas asked.
"It's the cleanest way." Rune responded.
Atlas started grumbling. "Fine!" He finally said.
He waited a few moments not saying anything, suddenly talking filled the floor below.
"Now then let's head down." Atlas said, motioning the others to follow him.
"Why? Dinner?" Sky asked.
"Not cause of Food!" Atlas scolded, "We gotta talk about what's going to happen tomorrow."
