Ultimate Power

"Ebraham Raiss Van Ur, defiled royal decree, created unauthorized weapons, raised secret armies, and harbouring malicious intention towards the Empire!"

An old man silently watched the holograms in front of him. Three holograms that were projected in the air appeared blinding in the dim underground dungeon.

"Your Majesty, please give your verdict." The right hologram flickered as the person moved. Tension in the air suddenly increased. Even the guards that holding the projection crystals trembled.

With a solemn face, the person in the middle hologram took a deep breath, "Guilty!"

The person in left hologram nodded and announced "By the Law of Krudian Empire, the offender is to be sealed for a thousand years and his sins in condemn forever!" He glanced to the middle hologram and see the emperor nod. "Ebraham Raiss Van Ur, please step forward." The crystals holders hastily move aside to make room for Ebraham.

Klang!

Seeing that Ebraham remain motionless, all guards around him simultaneously drew their swords and stepped closer. The group of aggressive guards equipped with full body magic amors and glowing runes appeared very intimidating. They forced themselves to overlook that the old man in front of them was the last Great Sage.

"Royal Teacher, please" the Emperor urged.

'Humph, he still remembers that this old man is his teacher'

Ebraham silently thought and steadily walked forward. Laying at the centre of the dungeon was the seal, a blood red obsidian that is so dense that it seems to be blacker than red. And it was already activated by the magic circles. Ebraham decisively touched the seal without looking back.

Bam!

His whole body was sucked into the seal and his vision turned black. In the confined state, Ebraham was disoriented neither laying nor standing. He cannot move, see, hear or even sense anything. Just pure nothingness.

'153 years old huh…'

Ebraham tried to adapt with the unique situation and he thought to himself. He was already one foot in the grave and might die anytime by now, so one thousand years confinement was just an overkill. But, Ebraham did not care. He already given up the Empire and its nobility, might as well use this opportunity as a retreat and ponder the mystery of life.

Suddenly he was grab by something. Not his old bag of bones, but 'he' was grab by something. With a violent thug, he was dragged away from his body further and further away in a matter of seconds. Is this the end? Ebraham pondered. He could still feel his body, this should not be death.

Though he could still feel his body, he knew, even with his fastest movement magic, it would take years to get back. Sadly, he was powerless against this mysterious force.

His long-life experience had taught him if he could not go against the current, he should ride the current. History repeating itself and again Ebraham was swept away by fate leading to the unknown. But with high adaptability and unyielding spirit Ebraham will prevail.

'It hurts. Its burns'

While the force constantly accelerated, Ebraham's soul was burnt and suffered throughout the journey. There were multiple times that he felt like passing out, but he gritted his teeth and preserved. He instinctively knew his foe was trying to drain his life force. It will be absolutely over if he gave up.

'What's going on?'

'Where am I heading to?'

'Why is this happening?'

Numerous thoughts flashed through his mind, but he buried them back. Currently he needed every ounce of energy he could muster to challenge the ever-increasing pressure. Unknowingly, his soul also constantly grew stronger, but just barely pass through each trial.

Bam!

The force stopped. Ebraham finally get a chance for a breather. It seemed like he arrived at the destination. He felt the restriction was loosen and he was freed. He still did not relax his guard, but suddenly a powerful energy flowed inside him.

It was burning hot and majestic. If magical energy was like a warm bath, this energy was burning lava. If his pervious magical energy was like a gallon of water, this energy was an ocean deep water. Instantly he was revitalized and felt hundred years younger.

This is the ultimate power.

'This is the ultimate power.'

"Hah!" Ebraham let out a low shout and unleashed the energy to his surroundings and observed with his Magic Sense.

There was a large rock floating in the dark outer space. The rock was blood obsidian, black but with a faint hue of red. Then there was space debris. A pile of space debris disorderly scattered around in space.

"More!" Ebraham released another wave of energy. It reached a sun and continued beyond the boundary. He could 'see' everything in the star system, from the furthest asteroid to the smallest microorganism. Everything was within his sense.

With this power I can do anything.

'With this power I can do anything!"

Ebraham produced a magic circle shoot towards the furthest asteroid. Instantly reduced it to rubbles.

There were ten planets orbiting the star with one of it being habitable blue planet. The star system was similar to Ebraham's home star but also different. There were spatial rifts occasionally appeared within the star system. Things it brought over could be seen from the pile of space debris.

With this power I can be god.

'With this power I can be–'

"What?! No!" Ebraham was awaken from his euphoric state. He noticed that there was an unclean thing that tried to influenced his mind. It was cleverly hidden even from Ebraham's Magic Sense. It struck at the gap of his guard.

"Reveal yourself, evil!" Ebraham raised his vigilance to the maximum.

Hehe. How rude. This great me granted you with unlimited power. How can I be evil?

Ebraham noticed a blurry formless figure that was also residing inside the blood obsidian rock.

"Who are you?"

Ebraham tried to calm his chaotic mind. The figure was unlike anything he had seen from his long-lived life as a Great Sage. Its body parts kept on changing shape making it a combination of multiple creatures at the same time. It was small then big. Lean then brawny.

Ebraham had thought that his nemesis, the spirits were playing trick with him. However, this was not spirit. Spirit cannot shapeshift. And there were also evil, malicious, and disgusting aura the seeped out from that thing, much worse than spirit.

Hehe. This great me? I'm nobody. But you can call me 'Shay'

Alarms rang in Ebraham's mind, warning him not to say that name. So, he ignored the thing's name and asked the main question.

"What's your intention?"

Haha. My intention is a very pure one. I just want to make you to become… 'God'

That thing, Shay, in order to consume Ebraham, it had spent a lot of time grinding Ebraham's soul and life force. But unexpectedly Ebraham did not become weak. He grew multiple time stronger instead.

It was annoyed by this. So, it changed its plan and tried to corrupt Ebraham by brainwashing him. It almost succeeded but failed at the last step as Ebraham was still clear-minded even in spiritual state. Since Ebraham wanted to talk with it, Shay also wanted to 'convince' Ebraham to walk the 'Path of God'. So, Shay continued.

Ultimate power. The power I've granted to you was the highest form of magical energy. With it you could cast God-tier magic spell. With it you could destroy any world. With it you could control the fate of anyone…

Isn't this the power of God?

And what's more, with this place you could go anywhere you want. You could conquer any world you find. Spread your name to the whole universe.

What more do you want? You could do anything. Because you are God.

Ebraham instincts warning kept on ringing. He would never believe in this kind of smooth-talk. Furthermore, this was very conflicting with Ebraham's ideology.

He tried to argue, "God is more tha–", but was interrupted mid-sentence.

Rumble! Boom!

The whole universe trembled. Then came a bright light followed by a loud explosion.

"What happened?!" Both Ebraham and Shay were shocked.

A large spatial rift appeared near the sun and tearing the space apart. Spiderweb-like cracks that were visible to the naked eye spread from it.

Within the spatial rift was another sun, forcing its way through the rift. The orange glowing sun bulged through the rift brought along radiation and gravitational force.

The nearest terrestrial planet to the suns instantly split in half and disintegrated into to dust. The planet was destroyed by conflicting gravitation forces from both suns.

Oh sh*t, Sh*t. Sh*t.

The thing kept on swearing in panic. It never experienced such catastrophe before.

The heat radiation swept through the star system kissing every planet. The blue planet, the only planet that hold life was burnt crisp and turned into a barren inhabitable planet.

When the invader sun completely passed through, every celestial body quaked. They derailed from their proper orbits and crowed towards the centre. The original sun also slipped from its orbit and even rushed towards the invader.

Everything happened within seconds. Ebraham saw the gigantic suns accelerated towards each other. Then they violently collided with each other bursting a powerful Kilo nova explosion spewing their matters all over the universe.

But!

That did not happen.

Freeze!

Everything was frozen in place. The suns halted and were facing each other. The planets stopped on their tracks. The time itself stopped. Just for fraction of a second. But it felt like forever.

Whoosh!

Once again, the suns gently moved. The once nearly colliding suns rotated each other. They rotated in anti-clockwise and in harmony. At the same time, the remaining nine planets also moved. They resumed orbiting the two suns. Their orbits shrank and shifted closer, but they continued as usual.

The large spatial rift mended itself and disappeared as if it had not been there.

After all of that cataclysm, the star suddenly turned into stable binary star system. The sudden reversal was unnatural and perplexing.

Ebraham gasped in wonder. He had seen many things and experienced spiritual encounters. He had developed spiritual resistance. But this was beyond him. It was a celestial level supernatural phenomenon! And a miracle.
