S4E14: Discovery

So as Foxx began to study the notes transferring anything that looked helpful into his own journal, Joy was lying on the table next to him sleeping while Silvia was reading a different book from the Professor's library. For the most part Foxx discovered that Professor Ivy was traveling through the Alola region when she discovered the G.S. Ball.

"So Professor, where exactly are these Alolan Islands and do you remember which one it w that you found the G.S. Ball on?" asked Foxx when he saw Professor Ivy enter their little study area.

"They are a week's journey farther south and I believe they it was on the Poni Island but not completely sure doesn't it say in my notes?" Asked Professor Ivy as she approached him knowing he was just trying to get around doing some of the actual work and not just waiting around for everyone else to do it for him even though he didn't do it on purpose it just up to this point all the work has been done for him.

"I see" replied Foxx as he picked the journal again and continued to read through it and when he found something he would comment on it. "Now that's interesting."

"What is ?" asked Silvia more seeking something more exciting then the silence of the study or the lame books that seemed to be all this place seemed to have.

"It appears that when Professor Ivy first found the G.S. Ball it was too hot to touch as it and actually had to have Glaceon freeze it only for it to take a five attempts before it finally cooled of enough for you to handle with an oven mitt." replied Foxx as he tried to make the calculations to figure how it was even possible for it to generate such heat.

"If I remember correctly it was about a month before it was finally cool enough to touch. Not to mention by then I had returned to the orange Islands, yet is still wasn't able to be frozen." replied Professor Ivy with a smile.

"So was it time or distance that cooled the G.S.Ball down?" asked Foxx as he looked through the journal for any clues.

"I'm not really sure the thought never occurred to me to test, but if you're planning on heading back to the Alola region you should first infest into some good oven mitts as well as test the distance theory." replied Professor Ivy.

"Actually if you have some old wires, computers and metallic bits I might be able to create something that can do the same trick." replied Foxx with a grin.

"So you're going to build a containment device?" asked Silvia a bit puzzled but wanting to still see him create something.

"First I'll need some heat shielding and a long cloth glove and a computer chip or five. I should have the wiring for I believe I might be able to get more then one purpose out of this new creation." replied Foxx, "Also I think I may wait until I've completely studied your notes before I start the work on the gauntlet."

"Soooo, more just sitting here reading old dusty books." sighed Silvia as she flopped back in her seat with a moan.

"Vul, vulpix vul?" asked Joy barely lifting her head or opening her eyes.

"Be nice Joy." replied Foxx to which Joy looked up at him with her head tilted to the one side.

"Vul?" asked Joy puzzled.

"Sorry your tone didn't make it sound like a joke." replied Foxx with a smile as he rubbed the back of her neck.

"Vul." replied Joy gesturing towards Silvia wit her paw.

"Okay I will." replied Foxx with a smile before looking over at Silvia and adding, "She asked, then why are you even here?"

"That is a good question, Silvia why don't you give Foxx a little space ad come help me in another part of the lab." replied Professor Ivy before Silvia could get a chance to respond.

"Yes Professor." sighed Silvia as she stood up and followed Professor Ivy out of the study. As for Joy she went back to sleep while Foxx returned to his studies.

He really was starting to get fascinated by the Professor's notes. She'd tried to use heat and ice to open the ball but it seemed to remain just slightly warm to the touch. It was at that point that he didn't remember it ever being warm to the touch so h grabbed it out of his bag only to realize it had indeed increased it's temperature as there was now a slightly warm to the touch. Then again this was the closest he'd gotten to the Alola Region.

Setting the G.S. Ball on the table he began to compare it to Professor Ivy's initial notes only to realize that it wasn't originally gold and silver. In fact when she first found the G.S. Ball it was white and had a slight shimmer to it. That wasn't all the ball was found in a circle of charcoal almost as if someone was trying to burn it. Maybe that's why it's sealed, maybe it was burned and the seal melted sealing the ball forever but why wild someone do such a thing?

What pokemon could be that dangerous that someone tried to seal it away forever in its pokeball, and why make such an elaborate looking pokeball just to seal the pokemon away? This mysterious pokeball was really starting to get darker in it's origins. Was it really worth the potential risk to figure out what is so important about this ball? Not to mention he was planning on leaving soon to go meet up with Dawn and Ash.
