[Space God - Palkia]
"The youngest of the Creation Trio, mastering the power of spatial laws. It is said that together with the 'Time God' Dialga, they can create passages to other worlds, being as elusive as the 'Nightmare God' Darkrai."
". . ."
Standing in the Temple of Origins, Hiruzen looked at the introduction before glancing at Sengoku beside him.
Initially, he thought Sengoku was a hospitable and just figure, but now it seemed... This man had a mind as deep as any war strategist.
Though Hiruzen hated to admit it, Sengoku gave him the impression of being a mix between himself and Danzo—both cunning and unafraid of taking bold actions.
Hiruzen took a puff from his pipe, feeling a deep sense of worry.
If the top leaders of the Pokémon Alliance were people like Dak or Zephyr, who were relatively hands-off or respectful of others' opinions, Hiruzen felt he could negotiate for an equal standing with the Pokémon Alliance.
But now...
[King of the Underworld - Giratina]
"The eldest of the Creation Trio, one of the earliest Pokémon to follow 'Creator God' Dak, creating the peaceful world of Pokémon Island. It is rumored to be the strongest among the gods."
The more Hiruzen read, the more bitter he felt.
The ninja world had no power to resist.
Even Dialga, the Time God, was beyond their capability to contend with. Not to mention there were six other deities on Pokémon Island.
Moreover, Hiruzen noticed that not all gods were benevolent.
Just as Dak, Zephyr, and Sengoku differed, among the seven deities, some Pokémon were more violent.
Judging by their titles and introductions, Hiruzen surmised that Nightmare God, Ice God, and Sandstorm God were more aggressive, while Leaf God, Time God, and Space God were more peaceful, with King of the Underworld being the neutral mediator.
Yes, in this short period, Hiruzen had already imagined the relationships and hierarchies among the seven deities, as the ninja world worked similarly, so he assumed this place was no different.
After all, the end of the road was always these sorts of things.
"This Leaf God seems quite similar to our Konoha, maybe they have a strong affinity. Surely this is a peace-loving deity?"
Hiruzen looked at the statue and introduction of Sceptile, nodding.
Yes, a peace-loving, benevolent god fit his expectations. And the name "Leaf God" made him think highly of it as the Third Hokage of Konoha.
". . . Everything you said is right."
Sengoku hesitated before nodding.
He didn't know what Hiruzen imagined, but he could guess. Many on Pokémon Island were misled by these descriptions.
The so-called 'Leaf God' Sceptile wasn't a god of peace but one of the most combative.
And 'Ice God' Lapras wasn't a cold, ruthless god but the kindest and most loving.
It was all due to the engineers from Wano Country who wrote these inscriptions after seeing battle remnants, taking wild guesses, and being quite pleased with themselves.
Only those who had been around since before the Pokémon era knew the real story.
Feeling a bit proud, Sengoku raised his chin slightly.
His only wish now was to have his statue and name in the Hall of Beginnings, immortalized forever.
"Next, I'll show you another world, a world full of oceans."
"Alright."
Hiruzen nodded, sensing nothing amiss.
But Sengoku's lips curled into a slight smile.
On Pokémon Island, he couldn't show his strength, but out on the sea, it was a different story.
Zephyr mentioned Hiruzen's reluctance to let the Pokémon Alliance's inspection team station in Konoha, and Dak didn't want to force it. So it was up to Sengoku, the Navy Admiral, to figure something out.
If Hiruzen didn't wise up...
In the pirate world.
Feeling his strength return slightly, Hiruzen looked around.
They stood on a ship that resembled a battleship, with many soldiers in white uniforms, ready and waiting.
"Where is this?"
"An inconspicuous island in the middle of the sea. Today, our navy has an operation for you to observe."
Sengoku casually said, gesturing Hiruzen to look ahead.
It was an island made entirely of cake.
They were in the New World, Totto Land, Big Mom's territory.
"That island looks..."
"Cake Island, most of the island is made of cake and can be eaten."
"What?"
"Don't be too surprised. Such places are everywhere in this sea. Each island has its own unique characteristics. If you have time, you can bring your family to tour around. Under our alliance's rule, this sea is peaceful now. Just be cautious of sea beasts and Sea Kings."
Sengoku spoke nonchalantly.
To him, a native of the pirate world, such things were not extraordinary.
But to Hiruzen, it was a completely different matter.
This was food!!!
Many people in the ninja world starved due to food shortages, and here they were making islands out of food—it was a waste!
Hiruzen clenched his fists. He had to ally with the Pokémon Alliance.
This wasn't just about allying with one organization but with two worlds. If Konoha could get supplies from Pokémon Island and the pirate world, who could challenge them?
Hiruzen's long-dormant eyes seemed to reignite with hope.
A person's demeanor changes when they see hope versus when they don't.
Boom!!!
As Hiruzen was lost in thought, a huge mushroom cloud rose on Cake Island.
Amidst the dispersing cloud, two figures appeared in the sky.
A man in a red suit, lava surging from his body, stood on a flying Charizard, raining down magma punches.
Such an attack was like a meteor shower. Hiruzen couldn't imagine how Konoha could withstand it.
He could ensure his survival but not Konoha's safety.
"Who is that?"
"That's one of our three Admirals, 'Akainu' Sakazuki, and his Pokémon partner, Charizard."
Sengoku calmly introduced, adding with a hint of meaning, "Sakazuki represents the hawks in our navy, advocating for aggressive policies and a tough stance towards others."
Hiruzen's eyebrows twitched.
As expected, the Pokémon Alliance's higher-ups weren't all easy to deal with.
He looked up at the figure in the sky and sighed inwardly.
'It seems I need to reconsider my previous decision.'
Observing Hiruzen, Sengoku smirked.
"What's going on?"
"Oh, Cake Island is the territory of a notorious pirate. For years, they've committed many crimes, and the Pokémon Alliance has deemed them 'criminals.' Our navy, upholding justice, is here to punish them."
Sengoku waved to a sailor who handed him a wanted poster, "Here, 'Big Mom' Charlotte Linlin, with a bounty of 4.388 billion Berries, one of the strongest pirates. Her strength might surpass Sakazuki's, but with Charizard's help, victory is assured."
Hiruzen took the poster, seeing a ferocious, ambitious face.
He sighed again, realizing this world had many powerful beings.
If even an Admiral was this strong, the Admiral beside him was undoubtedly powerful. Not to mention, there were three Admirals.
And Zephyr, whom Dak referred to as the 'No-Kill Admiral,' must be formidable too.
The more Hiruzen learned about this world and the Pokémon Alliance, the less he felt like resisting.
He couldn't let Konoha be destroyed by his actions.
"That Charizard looks powerful."
"Of course. It came from our alliance's breeding base, quite high level, almost Elite Four level. It seems to like Sakazuki, choosing to partner with him. But it's Sakazuki's only partner because his overbearing nature isn't popular among Pokémon."
Sengoku shrugged.
"Elite Four level?"
"That's a Pokémon level. The new Pokédex explains both Pokémon and trainer levels. If you have the funds, you can buy one and study it."
"Oh, I already have a Pokédex, just haven't had time to look at it."
Hiruzen nodded, noting Sengoku's words.
He initially thought the Pokédex was just a VIP status symbol, but it contained such valuable information. He needed to take it seriously.
"This battle won't end quickly. Let me show you our alliance's eight major gyms."
