Chapter 6 A clash with Peace 2

Mario could not believe his ears. It wasn't just about the words that the said Peace said to him, it was the fact that no one had ever spoken to him the way that she did -- the audacity and the intrepidity was something that he had never experienced from any girl all his life and yet this girl... This girl had the boldness to say those words to him. He watched her as she walked away from him. From her steps, he could tell that she was still angry and for a brief second he actually reasoned that she must have been angrier than him at that point. He nodded his head in disbelief and then turned towards his car and entered it.

They drove past her and Peace already knowing that it was them that passed, she didn't waste any minute in spitting out the last drops of insults that she had forgotten to say in her mouth (it wasn't like they could hear it anyway) but she just wanted to let it out.

"Egoistic piece of shit." She muttered to herself. Only God knows that she was never coming out to such a place again - rich people always gave her reasons to hate them and so she decided that it should continue that way, after all the only reason that she was there was because Lily wanted to get the autograph of her most favorite person in the World -- too bad that her precious Lily didn't like anyone but a messed up person like him. At least she was going to present her color book to her and she would be excited to see his autograph on it

...

Peace soon arrived at her home that night. She lived with her father in an average bungalow home and for every day of her life she was grateful that she had a room all to herself even though she wished that she had a sibling. Just like most girls' rooms, her bedroom was painted in pink with stickers of Barbie and Nicki Minaj on the wall. Even her curtains and bedsheets were pink too -- pink was her favorite room color. Yeah that's right, it was just a favorite room color and not a general favorite color because she never actually wore anything pertaining to pink outside. Her favorite color to wear was black but sometimes she liked to top it with other colors for it to blend perfectly.

The first thing she did as she came into the room was to fling the color book nonchalantly on the bed. She was tired from having to trek a distance before finding a taxi back to her house. Her fatigue weighed her down and the only thing that she wanted to do at that moment was to take a hot shower and just sleep from there. She headed straight to her bathroom afterwards and took off her clothes, dumping them on the bathroom floor and sliding under the hot shower. As soon as she was done having her bath, she just dried herself with a towel and went to position herself in front of the mirror to perform her usual skin care duty before she finally went to bed.

The blonde haired girl who had just recently clocked 25 just took her face cleanser and some other products and began to apply it on the necessary places that they were meant to be applied on; her face and shoulders mostly, and as soon as she was done with that, she looked at herself in the mirror once more, tapping her cheeks gently then she muttered to herself.

"You have done well today, Peace. Tomorrow is yet another day and you have a lot to achieve. Goodnight, pretty one." She blew herself a kiss in the mirror and then she jumped on her bed. Despite the cold, she liked to sleep at night with her towel on -- and for the fact that it was a cold night, she didn't bother wearing thick clothes as she already had enough confidence in her duvet that it was going to perform a great job at keeping her warm throughout the night. Just as she was about to close her eyes and sleep, her eyes flashed across the color book which she initially threw on the bed before entering the bathroom and she picked it up. After glancing through the book cover and smiling at the cute cartoons on it which reminded her of Lily, she then remembered that that rude billionaire son actually signed an autograph in the book. Now she wanted to glance through it and see what the signature looked like but she was just hoping that it was bad so that she would curse him one more time.

She opened the booklet and saw that he  signed his autograph on the first page. Peace was left disappointed as the signature that she expected would be rough looking like his face turned out to be cute and ethical.

"Well that's strange. The hippopotamus has quite a nice autograph. Just when I thought that his inscription would be as bad as his facial expression. But let me just say that he is lucky, I would have cursed him right now not to sleep well tonight." She closed the book and placed it very close to her bedside table and switched off the lights. "Goodnight, Peace," she muttered again before she finally closed her eyes and fell asleep.

...

Meanwhile Mario was already on his bed. He wanted to sleep but his eyes weren't feeling sleepy. Each time he closed his eyes he would have flashes of what happened between him and Peace, the young girl he met after the launch event.

"Hmm... Peace she said, her name would have been war instead. There is nothing peaceful about her and what she said to me today. Well I hope that I never see her again." He said to himself before finally closing his eyes and allowing sleep to take him into oblivion.
