'This' I unconsciously straightened my back as I heard them speak.

'Isn't this too much of a coincidence. I just decide to walk along for a while and I hear this. Is the artifact that can create coincidences from the novel I have read exists here?'

I considered this issue seriously. According to the records of the tribe that killed my father at least a month should have passed when they encountered the mysterious gem.

'Perhaps that merchant is still wandering around this area and I happened to be just lucky' I thought as I quickly closed the distance between us.

One of the bandits suddenly swung a knife to the gut of the merchant. I wildly swung my legs as the bandit's hand along with a knife was blown away.

"If you want to live, run" I said in an irritated tone. The bandits ran as fast as they could for their dear life.

As I looked at the merchant, the look on his face was pure shock.

'It must be pretty weird to find a child at this time. Even weirder for that child to make a hand blow away with just a kick'

"Are you alright?" I asked hoping to calm him. But he become more frightened.

"Y-yes" he stuttered.

"If you don't mind can I take a look at that magical gem of yours" I asked him with a kind smile.

"Yes, if you want I can even sell it to you" he answered both scared and a bit greedy.

As I got the gem-like red stone from him, I immediately knew it was fake and crushed it. I looked at him in fury as he shrank back.

"What is the meaning of this?" I barked. He appeared quite scared.

'Perhaps this is not the same trader but a different one'

"Did you go to trade in the tribe that is near the fountain a month ago? Did you also show them this stone?"

"Y-yes, I went to that tribe last month. But I didn't sell these magical stones to them" he answered immediately.

'Still calling these fakes magical stones'

I immediately yanked the bag he had with him. Inside, many similar red stones were piled upon one another.

'This guy is a professional scammer'

"Well, Itzcali what are you doing with these stones?" Soon he recounted this experience. He was a trader under a wealthy merchant in the capital Tenochtitlàn.

His job was to trade goods outside the empire. During one of his travels further north he had met a man Silva.

This man named Silva claimed to be a servant of Niccoló dé Conti. Silva informed that his master Niccoló dé Conti travelled from Europe to the land of gold, Asia.

There he visited many places including India and China among various others places. In one of his travels, he had seen a stone of similar property. But the owner refused to sell it.

Upon hearing this tale Itzcali found this interesting and planned to use this to scam and earn money.

He produced many cheap duplicates that had similar appearances. Using some petty tricks he had made it so that the stone burned things by refracting sunlight.

'So, the Red Stone of Aja's possible location in Asia. But can't be too sure as that might also be a fake. But heading over to Asia as of now is very dangerous as I have a high chance of encountering Muzan and his demons. Compared to Muzan I am just an infant'

This matter has to be put on hold for now until I get sufficient strength. I also have a strange feeling that the stone will not ever leave Asia.

As the sun was beginning to rise. I left the trader and returned home. I also visited my father's tomb for a while. My mother was still asleep.

I didn't have anything better to do so I began studying astrology and science. It has become one of my favourite hobbies as there was no entertainment here.

My mother soon woke up in the morning and unconsciously went outside the house. I reminded her promptly before she was turned to ashes.

She went to take care of some matters of the tribe from the house. Again I was left in my room sitting idly and letting my thoughts wander.

'It seems even if I avoid it I am destined to go to Asia and probably Japan. I don't want to send some other people to search for the stone. I even doubt they will find it.

I am bound to meet with Muzan and his demons, the powerful slayer that was in Muzan's memory and the slayer corps. I am almost certain that I will get into conflict with the corps. If I get powerful enough can I get Muzan to co-operate with me?

But for that, I should have the necessary strength. For that, I should unlock elemental mode. I am just going to be six years old. Is my body lacking or is it something? It seems like I am almost missing something

Argh, I am a headache just thinking about this.

We soon went to the cave and started our training. It seems she is pretty talented and have been improving greatly.
