Aftermath

Her entire day was spent doing examinations and seeing various doctors before she was finally released in the evening.

Something had changed as everyone treated her differently from normal even Tan Mo walked around her in egg shells clearly hiding something about what had happened the night before.

"Goodnight guys I am going to bed." she announced before getting up her seat and leaving.

She quickly rushed to her room and locked the door before rushing to her walk in closet and closing the door behind her.

It only took Lu Sicheng two rings to pick up her phonecall. She rarely called him but decided it was necessary to tell him what was happening.

"Hey did something happen?" he got straight to the point an action that greatly pleased her.

"Yeah, I woke up in the hospital today and no one is telling me what happened. Do you have a way of accessing our living room security camera footage?"she asked.

"Yeah give me a few hours and I will send it to you." he answered confidently.

"Okay thanks let's talk about it later I have to go to school tomorrow." she concluded before hanging up.

She honestly didn't know how long it would take him to send the video and decided to sleep and watch it the next day in school.

It had taken him exactly thirty minutes to send the video after their phonecall but since she has already fallen asleep all his question marks below the video had remained unanswered.

She was curious about what had possibly happened but decide not to open the can of worms early in the morning and instead dressed up for school.

It felt weird putting on her uniform after missing school for such a long time but it was just a period that she had to go through in all her lifetimes.

Everyone was already sitting when she got to the dinning room bag pack in hand. She mumbled a greeting before taking her usual seat and quickly inhaling her breakfast.

Her parents and Xueli were the first one to leave while Tanxin was upstairs getting her bag. She stared at Tan Mo who looked a lot more cheerful before walking out to the car.

She said hi to your their usual driver before climbing into the backseat. She took out her phone and stared at the last message she had gotten before putting on her earbuds.

Her finger only lingered on the play button for a second before she pressed down. The video began with her sister's question making her skip to the part she last remembered.

Momo and Tanxin didn't seem to notice the pallor that had permeated her face after she was done with the clip a few minutes ago.

She had wanted to rewatch it but changed her mind when she had seen them approach. They had deliberately hidden the truth from her and didn't have to know that she knew it.

Besides how would she explain the security footage lying in her phone storage now. She didn't think asking someone to hack into her own family's security network would fly over well.

The entire car ride was eerily silent as she stared out the window the entire time ignoring the two other girls that were sitting next to her.

The same went for when they got to school as she alighted the vehicle and quickly walked away leaving behind a puzzled pair staring at her back.

"What do you think is wrong with her?" Tanxin asked Momo as they walked into school.

"I don't know she has been acting weird all morning. Do you think she remembers?" she asked with a lowered voice avoiding the ears of the people swarming around them.

"No but keep out an eye for her just in case anything happens." Tanxin suggested before turning around and walking away.

Tan Mo's solo walk to the classroom was anything but peaceful as people openly pointed at her and spoke about what had happened the last time she was at school.

To make matters worse she bumped into her very upset sister who glared at her openly before sneering loudly.

"If it isn't the sell out how are you enjoying your new life as someone's toy?" she asked out loud drawing attention to their conversation.

Everyone in school knew they were sisters based of their identical features but had never acknowledged each other in public until now.

"Get out of my way" she sighed not willing to start a yelling match in front of the quickly forming crowd.

"Why should I do you think you have become a Feng just because you moved into their house." her sister jabbed exposing her situation to everyone present.

Everyone had seen her leave with the Feng sisters last time and thought they were just friends who would have thought she had even moved in with them.

"No one said that" she defended shrinking away in fear.

"You didn't but sure act like it go ahead admit it you think you are better than me just-" she spat out angrily.

"She doesn't think, she is better than you." a familiar voice interrupted putting an emphasis on the is.

"That was why you were rejected even after begging for an invitation." Mo Danyi exposed.

Everyone turned to the two guys who had just arrived they languidly manuovered their way to her side both glaring at her now scared sister.

"Next time you want to fight someone why don't you go for someone in your own lane." Qin Mo dissed glaring down at the now trembling girl.
