The first two to step forward were the two sect masters, Duan Xiulan with her taijijian and Shen TingFeng with his yanmaodao. Both took the lead as the most powerful present. Duan Xiulan, the stronger of the two was able to tell that the chimera was definitely stronger than Shen Tingfeng, and was probably a realm above herself.

With that being said, Duan Xiulan chucks her scabbard, before kicking it in the direction of the chimera. Obviously, such a move had no effect on the chimera. He easily caught it and began to collect the information that he had seen. But that was not Duan's intention, distracted, he could not have guessed that she would have used it to get closer to him.
Her taijijian barely touched the chimera, it dodging with its quick reaction to the surprise attack. Unfazed, Duan was actually happy instead because she was able to steer the Chimera's direction towards Shen Tingfeng. Looking down at his stomach, the blade of Shen Tingfeng's yanmaodao sticking out, the tip of the sword dripping his blood.
Unfazed and still poker face, the chimera reaches for Duan Xiulan. Before it could reach her, in a millisecond, his hand was no longer attached to the rest of his harm. So was his left leg. In that split second, Wei Jian as he was told, found the perfect opportunity to take action. The two sect masters were also surprised, they did not expect a disciple of the outer house to be so outlandishly fast.
Using [ Ghostly Supreme Sword] his entire body felt phenomenal. His body was light and his explosiveness was beyond incredible. True to the name, he was as fast as a ghost soaring through the world. His qi was covering his sword and himself.

Before it continue any further, Shen Tingfeng qi poured out, slicing and tearing the strands. Even though he was weaker than Duan Xiulan, he was still at the mid-stages of the Earth Tempering realm. His qi amounted to forty-five years' worth.
" Matriarch, do not stop attacking it, that'll allow it to heal itself!" Elder Wu desperately warned his sect masters.
Taking the elder's word seriously, Duan Xiulan lunged forward and used as many techniques as she could. The Chimera was now in a panic, its torso and limbs were becoming numb. With being alive for just a few weeks, it did not wish to die so early. Seeing the fear in its eyes, the two kept attacking, knowing that it was working. Whilst they were attacking, they were unable to see that the chimera had taken out its own blade.

The two were flung backward, but unharmed with only pieces of their robes getting damaged. But they did notice that for a technique of theirs meant for core disciples, it definitely felt stronger than it was supposed to. Even though it was sloppy, it definitely, forced them to defend it.
The Chimera now able to breathe was now ready for retaliation and wanted to rip the two to pieces. In an instance, the chimera's blade swung towards Shen Tingfeng.
' Impossible! How can he use my technique!'
