Chapter 15

Marenoshin led Yami, Sui-Feng, and the members of the Executive Militia out to the Rukongai to deal with the hollow problem. But even after moving their fastest, the group was still too late to prevent nearly 2,000 souls from perishing.

Marenoshin and the others arrived to see a scene of pure carnage. The lieutenant of the 2nd Division had red eyes and gave his orders enraged.

"Sui-Feng and Yami. Deal with the lesser Menos. The Executive Militia members shall take care of the normal hollows. I shall hold off the Adjuchas. You two better get ready to assist me. Do not try to save any souls. Use any opportunity to cut down our these beasts and avenge them."

"Roger!"

"No need. I'll finish all 3 in a single blow."

Yami and Sui-Feng took off to take care of the Gillian-class Menos. These were giant black creatures that were the accumulation of countless lesser Hollows eating one another. Once they became a Gillian, most would lose all sense of reasoning as all personalities mixed together and be in a constant fight for control. And while they battle for control, the main body would be nothing other than a creature driven by instinct.

But since they were still beings that were made up of hundreds of hollows, they had a large amount of spiritual power. Most Gillians were comparable to vice-captains which was why Sui-Feng and Yami were supposed to take them out.

But since this was a large-scale battle and not an assassination, Yami could let loose.

"Tsumi no Eda!"

Yami's zanpakuto became covered in green reiatsu before he slashed out with it, unleashing a wave of green energy horizontally that beheaded all 3 of the Gillians with a single cut. The slash also cut through dozens of the flying Hollows, either killing them directly or making them die from falling from such a high height.

This was one of the only 2 abilities of Yami's shikai and it was extremely limited, only being able to be used 3 times a day. It also drained a large amount of stamina, making it unsuitable for assassinations as it made it difficult for Yami to escape.

Sui-Feng and Marenoshin both looked at Yami surprised. They had never seen him use that move before.

And just as they were about to ask about it, the Adjuchas appeared behind Yami. It was a large spider-like creature with a humanoid body standing on 2 legs while having four arms. Its body was covered in blue fur while it also had an insect-like, white mask.

"Interesting. But I can't allow you to continue going rampant."

The Adjuchas swung both of its right arms at Yami's side. The young shinigami was barely able to raise his blade in time to block a direct strike but he was still sent flying. While he was sent flying, the Adjuchas looked at its bleeding hand before looking at the wound on its shoulder.

"Interesting ability. Even more reason to kill you!"

The Adjuchas was about to charge forward but Sui-Feng and Marenoshin both appeared behind it with their shikai already activated. Sui-Feng's shikai took the appearance of a small black and gold gauntlet with one of the fingers having a longer nail to it that resembled a wasp's stinger. Marenoshin's shikai was even stranger as it was a fuma shuriken.

The Adjuchas saw them approaching so it hurried to turn around and stop their attacks. It used one arm to grab Sui-Feng's hand before it could stab her while it used two hands to grab onto the shuriken.

"Tsk. You insects are so annoying."

The Adjuchas raised its free hand above its head, ready to bring it down on Sui-Feng and kill her. But before the fist came down, Yami's blade entered its neck so it had to hurry to grab the sword. Yami was able to cut through about 40% of the creature's neck before he was stopped.

The Adjuchas let out a roar of frustration. The sockets of its mask were glowing pink in anger.

"You damn bugs! I will slaughter you all or my name isn't Locusio!"

The trio shared a look before firing several kido spells at the creature with their free hands, hoping to get their zanpakuto free. And the fight of 3 lieutenant-level fighters vs the captain-level hollow was in full swing.

Kisuke was sweating heavily, his left arm had a massive gash on it, and he was burned on his right foot. He looked at the 3 individuals in white outfits who he had to battle by himself. They had drawn him away from the gate before setting up a barrier that made it impossible to see what was going on outside and vice-versa. Even if he could break the barrier, he didn't have time with the 3 Quincies who were using strange abilities.

"Told you that we could use our Schrifts as long as we wipe out all the evidence."

The Quincy with the pink mohawk laughed as he thought of how smart he was for coming up with such a solution. They didn't have to worry about getting scolded as long as none of the other shinigami saw them use it.

"Quiet, Bazz! Let's just end him before taking care of that sickly captain. Then we can go."

Urahara's eyes went wide as he heard them say they were planning to go after Ukitake too.

'They are trying to weaken us by taking out captain-level shinigami? But for what? Damn, not enough time to get answers. Looks like I have to use it.'

Kisuke got distracted for a moment allowing Cang Du and Mira to appear on his sides while Bazz-B charged at him from the front.

Caught off guard, Kisuke instinctively unleashed a large amount of reiatsu and began to say the most important words in the (Bleach) universe.

"Ban..."

But before he could finish, he saw two shadows appearing behind him. The one to his left struck Cang Du, sending the man with claws flying while the other knocked Mira away with a kick to her face. Bazz-B suddenly had a target appear on his left arm before it exploded and sent him flying away.

"Did they really give you that much trouble, Kisuke? You need to work out more."

"Kido training too."

Kisuke looked around and saw that barrier was down. He saw Yoruichi standing to his right while a large man wearing blue robes with a unique-looking staff was standing to his left. He also saw that Kukaku was standing atop the outer walls of the HQ, pointing her zanpakuto at the group. He also saw a group of people wearing unique robes had arrived on the battlefield and were firing kido spells off.

'Tessai even brought Kido Corps?!?!'

The 3 Sternritter saw that the situation had changed. Not only did more captain-level combatants arrive, but they also had regular reinforcements as well.

Mira saw the situation and made a split-second decision.

"Cang Du, go kill Ukitake. Bazz, handle the sniper. I'll take on these 3 myself."

Both of them nodded. They knew that if Mira said she would handle them, it meant that she was going all out. They both ran off in opposite directions to take car of their tasks.

Yoruichi was about to run after Cang Du but she was stopped by Mira who had appeared in front of her somehow before kicking the Hakuda Master away. Mira then appeared between both Tessai and Kisuke before launching punches at both of them, sending them in opposite directions.

The others were sent flying but quickly recovered. When they looked at Mira who was standing in the middle of all of them, they saw that she had changed. She looked like a hybrid between a wolf and a woman. Her clothes had been torn, barely covering the important bits.

"Let me give you all a proper introduction on who will kill you. My name is Mira 'J' the Jaeger. And I will hunt you all."
