Prologue

'I do believe there's true love but I don't know if there's someone that will truelly love me like my parents love each other. All I see is lust and greed in the eyes of those who call themselves my "suitors". Why can't I be ugly? Why aren't we poor? Maybe this way I won't be running from this hypocrites. Maybe if I'm just a little bit ugly it would have been good, I'll need to chase just "money lovers".

Sometimes when I remember what Arbill did to me, my heart hurt so much I feel like killing him. I can't believe he even has the guts to come back and ask me to be his second wife! He must be kidding me. Whatever... God's plan is the best and everything happens for a reason.

I can't help thinking of "him" though. I meant the little boy that I met at kidsdom park. He'll now be a young adult just like me and probably have a family of his own. My stupid heart hurts anytime I thought of him married with a family of his own. But what I regret the most is not asking for his name before leaving, maybe if I know his name things won't be like this right now. I probably would have search for him and tell him that... tell him what? Ugh. OK I will thank him for his help but what if he didn't remember making him think I'm going nuts. If they're to be around when I went there with my parents then I'll have given it to him then maybe there's maybe right now I won't be seeing this thing that reminds me of him. Icn still remember how he had taken care of me but but ain't I torturing myself with these thoughts? And now here I am having foolish thoughts like a high schooler'. Ellie can't help scolding herself for thinking like that as she slumped on her bed looking at nothing in common.

"Hello" said a boy to Ellie, he might have seen the tears that are threatening to fall from her eyes, "hi" replied Ellie as she try hard to be strong, "here have my shoes" the boy said as he squat in front of her "I can't" she said as she shook her head in denial. She can see he is just trying to help her but she's not that evil to take someone's shoes in this cold freezing weather. "it's cold you need to wear it before you start freezing" he said as he touch Ellie's cold feet "whoa, you're freezing". "what about you" she can't help but ask him since he already started wearing the shoes to her. "my house is not far and besides I'm wearing socks, there let's go" he said standing up, "it looks good on you just that it is a little big" he added as stretch out his hand for Ellie to hold. "Thanks" she can't help feeling grateful for his timely rescue. She's been sitting there for a while now probably thinking about a magic to happen. It was a miracle that it actually happens. Where she's sitted is isolated. "where to?" she can't help asking as she hold his extended hand. "To my house, I need to wear another one" he said pointing at his feet. Letting out an "oh" Ellie silently followed him. It's truly not far. "I've never seen you around, are you new?" he asked as he put on another pair of shoes. "no, I'm from Elha" she answered. "so what are you doing here?" he asked again with a brow raised. "well I came to Kidsdom park with nanny but I got lost while playing hid and seek with the other kids" she answered as best as she can. "I heard Elha is a very nice place, I'll like to visit someday" he said lost in thought "oh let's get going before your nanny freaks out". "You know there?" she asked as she look at him with stars in her eyes. He really must be an angel sent to her. "Yeah, my mom works there" he replied walking out, following suit Ellie told him he can follow her to Elha if he wants but he refused saying unless his mom is going, which of cause won't be right now. "OK" said Ellie sadly, "your house is beautiful". It was a small but beautiful house with flowers surrounding it. "Thanks, here wear this" he said giving her a small cardigan. "no mine is with nanny" Ellie side as she shook her head, she won't be taking another thing of his again. "You give it back once we get there" he said stating the obvious. "thaàks once again" she said this time shyly. He wears her the cardigan himself and after he's doe his eyes can't help but shine as he look at Ellie. One might think he just make some big discovery. "You look beautiful, it looks nice on you than me" he compliments her as he looks at her happily. Ellie has never seen anyone happy about her other than her parents and Marvie her best friend. Her nanny don't like her much even though she's s always a good girl. "Thanks", Ellie said slightly blushing. "Welcome, it's like thank you is part of you. And oh you are blushing" he said teasingly as he brought his face near hers. "No I'm not", said Ellie covering her face.

"Here we've arrived", he said as he let go of Ellie's hand. "Thanks, there's nanny "she said pointing at a lady in her mid thirties sitting comfortably under a tree. From the look of things you'll know that she's not even aware that Ellie went missing.

They play for sometime together. When it's getting dark nanny called her to come get in the car. Can you believe she didn't even notice that Ellie was wearing someone else's cardigan to talk less of the shoes? "how I wish you'll come with me", Ellie said as she give him his cardigan back forgetting all about the shoes even though they slightly bigger than her feet, she's comfortable in it. "Sorry about that, don't worry I'll come visit one day maybe when I'm all grown up" he said making hand gestures. Muttering an okay Ellie made her way to the car with a smile. "You know what?" the boy asked and seeing Ellie shook her head, he continued, "I'll miss you". Me too". They embrace each other before saying their good byes. As Ellie entered the car, she remembered that she didn't ask of his name but before she can turn around he's no where to be found. Ellie can help but break down, it's always been like this.

'how can I be repeating the same mistake' Ellie asked herself as she wept. "Ellie, Ellie, Ellie" she heard her mother calling her from a distance. 'What's she doing here?'. "Ellie!!! ". Jecking out of her sleep she saw her mother looking at her worriedly, Ellie realized it's all but a dream, no, she just relived that moment from years ago.
