Escaping Smoker

3 hours have passed since Smoker fainted, during that time Cedric experimented his innate ability on Smoker trying to know the limits of it. The results were pretty satisfying for him that he maintained the smile on his face for a long time. "Heeh, I never knew our captain could smile like this? Do you prefer men over women captain~?" Nojiko asked him smiling gently. "Eh? Really!?" Nami was surprised hearing that. Cedric stopped smiling as his lips twitched at their words. "Stopped messing around. It is just a surprise that my experiment worked. We still need to restock on this island and use another ship" Cedric informed them their purpose into coming in this island. "We already took care of that while you were immerse on your experiments captain. It was adorable watching you getting lost in work" Nojiko smiled making the man embarrassed but didn't show it on his face.
"So? What did you gain this time?" Nami asked excited about his gains. "Try hitting him" Cedric said pointing at Smoker who is still unconscious. Nami didn't hesitate and slapped Smoker hard forcing him to wake up. "?" Nami was confused to what happened. "Is something supposed to happen?" Nami asked tilting her head at him. Meanwhile Smoker was shaking hard on his spot when he sensed something wrong with his power. "What the hell did you do bastard!?" He shouted at Cedric who just closed his ears. "You're loud, shut up for a bit" he said with Smoker surprisingly followed. "Now, try hitting him again" Cedric said, he still didn't activate his ability. Nami tried punching Smoker again only to be baffled when her hand passed his body. "W-What is this? Its creepy" she backed down creeped out by the phenomenon, she is also frightened that she can't do anything to him.
"That is the ability of his Devil Fruit. Logia Devil Fruit to be exact. Unlike Buggy's devil fruit which only helps him separate his body, Logia users can become an element itself. It is literally impossible to do anything to them" Cedric patiently explained to them while his ability started to work itself. Nojiko, Nami and Smoker watched in horror when Cedric's head turned into a large shadow circle with only creepy white light for eyes and sharp teeth. It only lasted for a few seconds before his head returned to its previous state. "Now try hitting him again" Cedric gestured to Nami who cautiously throw a hook at Smoker. Smoker didn't dodge and just chose to elementalized his body to negate her punch but to his horror, the punch connected itself leaving him spitting some blood from how heavy the punch is. "W-What the hell happened..?" he asked in disbelief, he was sure that he activated his ability.
"Simple, I just change the structure of your devil fruit. I changed the type of it and turned it into Paramecia. Handy right?" Cedric stared at Smoker who just widened his eyes. The two girls might not understand the weight of it but he surely does, it is rule defying to know something like that is possible. "You're joking right?" Smoker asked trying to make sense of the situation. Sadly for him, the reality smacked him hard when he tried using his devil fruit because instead of smoke, it created clouds instead. The room turned silent for a few seconds with Smoker wanting to cry blood. He didn't last long and fainted again. "He snapped huh? Is there food Nojiko? I'm famished" Cedric lost interest in him and just turned his attention to the stomach that has been grumbling for a while now. "Yes, we just cleaned the other pirate group of their stocks, we can now last a month in the sea" Nojiko replied happy about their gains.
"Tch, Nojiko they are poor. Why are you happy? Their beri's didn't even reach the number of 1 million!" Nami on the other hand was upset, she wasn't able to steal a lot of things this time causing her unreasonable tantrum. "Now, now, if you only have money on your mind, you wouldn't be able to gain captain's attention" Nojiko smiled telling Nami about that. Nami got alerted hearing it, she grabbed Cedric's collar and dragged him outside. "Let's go on a date" she declared as the man was helpless against her. The last thing he saw was Nojiko waving her hand at them with a great smile on her face. The two did their date with Cedric just following Nami's will. Him following her words doesn't mean that he is simp or beta shit, he just respect her admiration on him. Since Nojiko gave the go signal herself, he won't hold back and really take Nami for himself. They finished their date within 2 hours, both of them returned to the place they left Nojiko with Smoker.
They were stunned when they saw Nojiko chasing Smoker with her wings already hardened. She was throwing projectiles one after another to the guy who just tried escaping it. He just woke up a minute ago and immediately tried to escape, he didn't think that the single girl guarding him would be a monster too! That is the reason why he is currently running away from her. "Don't run! Why don't we have a chat?" Nojiko said smiling, though her wings says otherwise because it just kept spouting crystals. "To hell with you woman! Don't drag me to your insanity!" Smoker responded, he already considered her to be a devil fruit user because he has never seen a weird wings like that before. He gained an idea when he saw something from nearby, it was the seastone baton he is holding before he lost consciousness. This made his confidence return because with this thing, he can subdue her with ease.
"You're done now woman!" Smoker grabbed the seastone tool and bursted his speed yo Nojiko. The woman widened her eyes at the speed he arrive, before she could do something the baton already pressed itself on her body. Nojiko waited for a few seconds wanting to know what will happen, he was so confident that she got scared for second but upon realizing that nothing is happening she just slapped her wings at Smoker who got blasted by it. "Kuk!" Smoker flew hard and embedded himself on a stone structure. He wiped the blood on his mouth and stared in disbelief, "Not a devil fruit..? What the hell is that?" He muttered losing his senses, he don't understand anything anymore. He has troubles trying to piece his broken common sense at this moment. "Sadly this is not a devil fruit" Cedric appeared as he and Nami released their own kagunes.
Smoker just stared blankly at them not knowing what to say, it was already frightening handling Nojiko and now two more was added, he is doubting whether he could still leave this place in one piece. Cedric raised his kagune ready to land the last blow on Smoker but to his surprise the kagune passed through his body that turned into smoke. ".." silence descended, an intense silence. "Its my turn!" Smoker stood up and tried hitting them but his baton hit nothing. Cedric already carried Nojiko and Nami escaping from the place, "I forgot that changing the structure was just a temporary thing" he muttered in annoyance. "Get back here you bastard!" Smoker chased them refusing to let them go. It was already humiliating that his whole crew got wiped out and now he is letting them go without being able to fight back? He firmly refuse that. "No way smokey!" Nami was happy with the situation so she insulted him.
"Girls, stop fanning the flame, we can't afford it" Cedric stopped the two since he saw Nojiko also wanted to tease Smoker. "Hehe, isn't his reaction amusing? Look! He is fuming in anger!" Nami giggled while pointing at Smoker. "There are 2 weakness for logia users like him. One is the weapon he is holding, A seastone. While the other is.." they reached the shore with Cedric slapping the sea with his kagune. The slap spurted some water to Smoker's direction drenching the guy on it. It was a large amount of water so the weakness he felt was intense. "Water.." Nojiko and Nami mutter. A grin appeared on their faces as they opened their kagunes wide. They started copying what Cedric was doing before and blasted Smoker with water. "Stop! Stop!" Smoker shouted trying to get away from the barrage of water but alas it was useless. The two were already into it, they just kept showering him while Cedric readied their ship. It was a new ship, a stolen one from the other pirates.
He finished taking the anchor so the two girls boarded it. They departed from the island waving their hands at the frustrated Smoker. He swore to catch them no matter what it takes. "Fuuh, that was intense. We really need to do something about not being able to hit someone. We were lucky that we are close to the sea" Cedric released a sigh massaging his head. "How can we get a mineral like seastone, it must be expensive right?" Nojiko asked. Hearing the word expensive, Nami reacted violently. "We must not waste money for something like that! Is there other way Cedric?" she asked with stars on her eyes. "Well there is.. but it will take time. For now I need to fix the problem with ship. Nami do you know an island called Gecko Islands?" Cedric asked, he wished to gain the ship of the protagonist. It has a chance of gaining a ship spirit after all. "Yes? Hm, I do remember an island like that. Do you want to go there?" Nami asked.
"Yeah, there is a ship there. I want to buy it" he stated his purpose. "Then's I'll turn the ship right now. It is just close to the island we reached before" Nami handled the rudder turning the ship. They continue their journey for a few more days which they spent sparring or lazing around. Cedric and Nami's relationship are also getting closer, he is now comfortable with her clingy side. His relationship with Nojiko on the other hand got more deeper, they delve into taboo positions causing them to be almost caught by Nami. Thankfully Cedric was quick and karate chopped her neck which made her unconscious. It was a reminder for the two of them that they are not the only passenger of the ship, it made them restrain themselves from doing outrageous things. "We finally arrived! A land at last!" Nami exclaimed embracing the soft grass on the ground. Even though she was used to sailing, the feeling of the ground is still the best for her.
Both Nojiko and Cedric also went down from the ship, they took sometime to appreciate the surroundings. The sight of the land greatly relieved them somehow. They roamed the place arriving at the village called Syrup. They asked for informations about ship here and the only answered they got was that it was owned by the richest family in the town. The three enjoyed blending in the village for few hours before finally deciding to visit the so called family. "Hm, I don't know but I can't feel ease at this place. Is there someone strong here?" Nami muttered tilting her head in confusion. It was her instinct ringing on her. Her instinct was stronger than Nojiko and Cedric so they naturally trust it. "We won't know if we don't ask" Cedric said before walking to the house. They were greeted by a sheep like guy wearing butler uniform, the butler was surprise by their arrival but nonetheless accepted them considering they don't look like ruffians.
