Chapter 3: The Legend of Treasure Island
The narrator speaks, recounting an ancient tale.
Treasure Island—an island of legends, hidden deep within the East Blue. Some say it's a myth, a sailor's tale spun by those too drunk to remember truth from fiction. But to those who dare to believe, it exists, waiting for the brave and the foolish alike. The journey there, however, is riddled with peril, guarded by untamable seas and creatures that stalk the depths.
What makes this island so coveted, so feared?
Long before the era of Gol D. Roger or the rise of the legendary Marine hero, Monkey D. Garp, there was another pirate whose name shook the world: Davy Jones. He was no ordinary pirate—he was the closest anyone had come to claiming the title of King of the Pirates, long before Roger's reign. A figure cloaked in both myth and terror, Davy Jones commanded a fleet of powerful pirates, drawn from every race and corner of the seas.
He wielded the power of a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, transforming into a monstrous creature of the deep, and was a master of Conqueror's Haki, bending the wills of others with just a glance. No one could challenge his might. Legends say his crew was unmatched, and together they were a force of nature, toppling everything in their path.
But it was his ambition that led him to the most dangerous gamble of all.
One fateful day, Davy Jones turned his sights toward the home of the gods themselves—Mary Geoise, the Holy Land. With no one believed capable of stopping him, he led his crew on a rampage, cutting down nobles and Marines alike, setting fire to the heart of the World Government's sanctuary. Half of the Holy Land was reduced to ashes under his onslaught. Priceless treasures and sacred relics were stolen, including one chest that Davy himself claimed—an item said to hold unimaginable value.
He believed himself invincible. But hubris would be his undoing.
For the first time in centuries, the Elders—those enigmatic figures who rule from the shadows—rose from their hidden thrones to punish this pirate who dared to defy the gods. They unleashed a force unlike anything the world had ever seen. Davy Jones and his crew fought back with every ounce of their strength, but even they were no match for the Elders' wrath. One by one, his crew fell, until only Davy remained, bloodied and broken.
Though grievously wounded, Davy managed to escape with his life, taking with him the treasure chest that he had stolen from the Holy Land. He fled across the seas, vanishing into the East Blue. And it was there, on an island cloaked in mist and legend, that he met his end.
The legend of Treasure Island was born that day. The treasure Davy Jones carried—said to contain the wealth of nations, powerful relics, and secrets stolen from the heart of the Holy Land—was buried with him, along with his bones. But no one has ever been able to find it.
Many pirates and Marines alike have sought the island, only to be lost to the treacherous waters that guard it. Sea beasts, towering waves, and whirlpools protect the island from those too weak to claim its prize. The journey itself is a trial of survival.
The scene shifts to a small boat on the open sea.
On the deck of a modest ship, we find Jack Sparrow, standing confidently despite the emptiness around him. He speaks as if addressing a grand audience.
"Many have tried and failed," Jack begins, his voice filled with conviction. "But this time, we'll be the first to uncover the treasure of Davy Jones! Riches beyond imagination, power that could change the course of history—just waiting to be claimed! So... are you with me?!"
He spreads his arms wide, looking expectantly at his supposed "crew." But there's only silence. In front of him sit two empty barrels and a few curious seagulls perched atop them, tilting their heads at Jack. One bird squawks, then flutters off into the distance.
Jack sighs deeply, his shoulders drooping ever so slightly.
"I need a crew..." he mutters to himself, looking out at the vast sea stretching before him.
The wind whistles through the sails, carrying with it the promise of adventure and the weight of the unknown.
To be continued...
