Confrontation

Two Months Later

In the first part of Paradise, a very peculiar island awaits. Thanks to the extreme and unusual climate of the Grand Line, this place has been trapped in time, existing as it did in the Cretaceous period.

"Little Garden" is home to an abundance of ancient creatures, species, and all manner of prehistoric life. In the center of it all lay two colossal corpses, remnants of enormous sea kings whose bones are all that remain today.

Amidst the dense forest, thunderous sounds echoed, so powerful they could shake the earth itself.

A towering figure, over 20 meters in height, engaged in battle with two individuals, both completely overshadowed by the giant's immense stature.

The giant possessed a voluptuous, oval-shaped body, which did nothing to diminish his enormous strength.

Brogy: "Gababababa, this is almost as fun as sparring with Dorry."

On the other side were Baldur and Rose, who had been gathering herbs for another batch of drugs when they unexpectedly encountered Brogy. Mistaking their presence as an attempt to interfere with his duel, Brogy naturally attacked them.

Baldur: "Tsk, he's too massive. While I can attack him with ease, I'm not doing much damage..."

Rose: "Quiet and focus... I've been trying to contact Lexter, but he's not responding. He's probably interested in the giant's bounty..."

Both leaped several meters backward from a powerful stomp by the Giant. Baldur moved at a speed imperceptible to the human eye and, using the force of inertia, leaped to strike Brogy's knee, making him stagger.

Rose quickly wielded a large cannon and fired a shot at Brogy's head.

*Boom*

The shot hit its mark, but it hardly affected him. Baldur once again raced across the Giant's body and swiftly attacked with a powerful blow to Brogy's jaw. Brogy reacted quickly but couldn't land a hit due to Baldur's high speed.

Growing tired of the bald man, Brogy shifted his attention to the woman and began advancing towards her. Suddenly, an explosion engulfed him completely, tearing through trees within a 50-meter radius.

*Boom*

As a precaution, Rose had placed an explosive charge, and it appeared to have had the desired effect.

*Cough*

*Cough*

Coughing up blood and wounded, Brogy rose to his feet.

Brogy: "Gabababa, not bad, not bad. As a sign of our newfound friendship, I'll invite you to din-"

Before he could finish the sentence, he was struck in the head by a spear. It was Baldur, taking advantage of the Giant's distraction to attack with a weapon provided by Rose. Due to his charging speed, the impact was quite powerful.

The spear shattered the helmet and protruded slightly into Brogy's left eye.

Brogy: "Aaaaahhhhhh!"

With a loud scream, Brogy unexpectedly grabbed Baldur, who was still on his head, and slammed him violently into the ground.

Rose: "Baldur!"

Rose fired multiple shots at Brogy to push him back.

Baldur barely managed to crawl out of the hole, his body covered in wounds, bruises, and a hanging arm, likely fractured. Several ribs were also broken.

Baldur: "Uff, Uff. You'll pay for this, you bastard!"

Without wasting time, Baldur attacked once more, even in his severely wounded state.

After a brief exchange of blows, Baldur fell unconscious.

Brogy: "You don't deserve my hospitality! I'll kill you!"

Boom

Another explosion, smaller this time, erupted beneath Brogy, engulfing him.

Taking advantage of the earlier combat between Baldur and Brogy, Rose had used the last of her explosives.

Rose: "I hope he dies; I have no more weapons..."

¿?: "Hey, Commander Rose!"

Rose turned her gaze and saw the other crew members responsible for collecting herbs arriving as reinforcements.

Rose: "You've arrived just in time, Ronald. Take Baldur back to the ship, and secure the giant. If he resists, don't hesitate to eliminate him. I'll call Lexter to come..."

Ronald: "Don't worry, Commander. We've got this."

As the smoke cleared completely, Brogy was still standing, albeit missing a large portion of his right leg. He was covered in wounds, with his flesh severely burned. Unable to maintain his balance, he fell unconscious to the ground.

Ronald and the others in charge secured Brogy with thick chains and awaited further orders.

Rose: "Maintain a perimeter of 100 meters! The other giant could arrive at any moment."

As she walked toward the ship, Rose entered the cabin and tried to contact Lexter once more.

*Puru Puru Puru*

*Puru Puru Puru*

*Puru Puru Puru*

Rose: "Aaahhg, why isn't he answering..."

After a few minutes, the ground began to tremble once again. A massive silhouette appeared in the evening sky.

This figure was Dorry, the other giant on the island. Unable to find Brogy for their next duel, he had begun searching the island. Upon hearing the gunshots, he approached the location.

Unlike the other giant, Dorry was slimmer, slightly taller, and more agile.

When he approached close enough, he saw the battered and wounded form of his friend.

Dorry: "Brogy, Brogy, wake up! Damn it... What have they done to you?"

With a sword in hand, Dorry quickly charged and launched an attack against Ronald and his men.

Ronald: "Get ready! Aim! Fire!"

*Boom*

*Boom*

*Boom*

Many cannons fired at Dorry, who stopped to shield himself with his shield.

Rose: "Tsk, this is bad. We're not in any condition to fight him."

Just as it seemed the odds were against them...

¿?: "Sword of the Desert!"
